The post holder is responsible for the development and application of Support Staffordshire’s overall policies & strategies with regard to creative, digital and artificial intelligence systems and tools. Creative includes all marketing and communications, both external and internal; covering members, customers and wider stakeholders - including corporate partnerships. Digital and Artificial Intelligence includes our use of information technology, new media and technology, and developing organisation wide use of artificial intelligence.

Lead our corporate partnership engagement and associated events delivery plans

Lead strategic internal communications, ensuring a one Support Staffordshire approach; working closely with our Business Support Manager and the Executive Leadership Team, who are responsible for implementation

To implement and further develop our new AI policy, with particular regard to our core principles: human oversight, transparency, fairness, privacy and security

To convene, chair and make effective use of our internal AI working group to apply AI usage appropriately across Support Staffordshire, maximising opportunities and benefits and minimising negative practical and ethical impacts

To lead our digital & AI development and implementation through an agreed digital & AI delivery plan; including but not limited to:

i. Ongoing development of IT, especially internal remote communications systems and tools, working closely with the Business Support Manager

ii. AI tool development and application

  iii. Personnel capabilities and training plans

  iv. Development of associated policies, processes and systems such as those governing data security and integrity, in association with the relevant policy lead/s

This role oversees delivery of the Trusts and Foundations strategy, including researching and identifying suitable prospects, writing funding applications, and account managing existing Trusts and Foundation supporters. Working with and reporting into the Head of Corporate, Trusts and Events, the post holder will be responsible for working across the organisation to ensure that the most accurate and relevant data is being presented in applications to ensure positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising at a charity, cultural institution or similar organisation, with a proven track record of securing 5 and 6-figure valued grants in support of an organisation’s key priorities and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, collaborative team player with a positive and supportive attitude who embraces and embodies  the charity’s values.

We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Trust & Foundation Fundraising Manager on a 3-month fixed-term contract to take the lead on securing high-value grants that will make a real difference to ocean conservation. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our trust and foundation strategy, develop new partnerships, and grow sustainable income to fund impactful projects around the world.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Drive the delivery of the SEA LIFE TRUST fundraising strategy by prioritising and expanding trust and foundation income streams.

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of trust and foundation prospects, focusing on multi-year and high-value funding opportunities.

• Write compelling, tailored cases for support and funding applications aligned to the objectives of each prospective funder.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing funders, ensuring outstanding stewardship through regular updates and impact reporting.

• Collaborate with colleagues across our sanctuaries and within Merlin Entertainments’ Conservation, Welfare & Education team to identify fundable projects and areas of need.

• Support forecasting and budgeting alongside the Senior Head of Global Fundraising & Partnerships, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

• Monitor, evaluate and adapt fundraising approaches to maximise success and impact.

• Develop robust reporting and tracking systems to manage fundraising activity and report progress to senior leadership.

• Occasionally represent the SEA LIFE TRUST at internal and external meetings, events, and donor briefings.

• Support other fundraising activities as required, including corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

Your Role as a Fundraiser for Hope for Southall Street Homeless

You will secure £210,000 p.a. to cover the running costs of HSSH.  This will include the salaries of five staff, grant-funding for emergency/ temporary accommodation for guests who wish to return to their home country (currently covered by a Government grant at 100%) and other running costs (eg insurance) and overheads (eg Third Sector body fees). 

Your responsibilities will include : 

Trusts

• To conduct an initial audit of existing Trust and Foundation donors to maintain and maximise potential income from these donors.
• To carry out prospect research using Fundsonline and other established Trust directories to identify new prospective donors.
• To establish a calendar-based pipeline showing submitted and planned applications, with required updates (including scheduled date, name, projected amount, and next action), to ensure timely and targeted applications and follow-up communications with donors (both existing and prospective).
• To monitor and respond to local and wider appropriate grant opportunities.

Corporates

• To scope local and wider district and borough opportunities for corporate partnerships, starting with warm contacts and existing donor networks.
• To build natural, face-to-face, contact and foster deep relationships with new corporate partners.
• To maintain a pipeline (as above) of corporate donors, prospects, communications, and planned approaches.

Community / Individuals

• To work with local community organisations and individuals, including those already engaged with/interested in HSSH and others, to raise awareness of the service, increase existing support, and generate new forms of support.
• To represent/showcase the work of HSSH through local events and forums, emphasising the need for, and the impact of, the service.
• In cooperation with the Social Media Management Group, to produce/ contribute to shared material/social posts profiling HSSH’s work and value, to the community, borough and wider bodies relative to our work.
• To prepare bespoke, scheduled, direct mail requests to individual donors, in the form of letters and e-mails.
• To maintain an up-to date information resource covering the issues relevant to local rough sleepers and migrants, to inform and evidence HSSH services.

Who We Are Hope for Southall Street Homeless (HSSH) is a charity founded in 2015 to provide a permanent night shelter in Southall.  The need for this was identified by the Churches in Southall Leadership Team – at the time part of the wider Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter initiative – due to the high number of rough sleepers in Southall, at the time, over 31% of all Ealing’s rough sleepers.

Responsibilities

In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:

Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.

Management:  You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.

Relationship:You will seek to actively develop and manage excellent relationships with an agreed portfolio of trusts/foundations and IMD capable of donating a minimum of £25,000 or more as a single gift each year. In addition you will need to:

• Develop and implement professionally written action plans which will engage, inform and nurture prospects and donors to deliver gifts at the agreed level.
• Undertake timely administration to capture and record knowledge of supporters within the customer relationship management database. Work with the organisation’s systems team to utilise this information to enhance applications and giving levels
• Pro-actively develop relationships with key stakeholders within the MAF organisation(s)
• Present MAF proposals alone or with others, (member of the operational field team, CEO etc), to prospects and donors.
• Participate in events to develop relationships with donors, inviting individuals from portfolios where appropriate and co-ordinate visits to MAF overseas operations where appropriate to introduce these donors directly to the work of MAF.  

Information: Information management and analytical thinking is essential as you will present detailed, accurate and high-quality fundraising proposals to prospects and donors, ensuring any specific deadlines or funding windows are complied with.   In addition you will need to:

• Ensure that donors are thanked appropriately for their gifts with timely and appropriate reports, letters and phone call.
• Provide timely ‘report backs’ that are appropriate/agreed with each donor, to evidence effective use of funding and to encourage the opportunity to make further applications based on good stewardship and achievement of agreed outcomes.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge, and the funding priority, of projects available for funding by trusts/foundations supporters and prospects.
• Actively seeking to grow the trusts/foundations portfolio and income through the use of research
• Attending regular appropriate training courses, external forums and networks to ensure continuous personal development 

Major Donor team (practice/ procedures/training):As a key member of the team you will need to ensure procedures and standards are developed/maintained to ensure we are effective and compliant with any legislation/regulation.

CRM Database: To provide support to the Partnership Executive, who will be the team’s CRM database lead and maintain a thorough working understanding of MAF UK’s CRM system in order to answer specific team queries.  You will need to support the teams day-to-day CRM activities including producing reports, importing data, adding activities, amending details and any other relevant tasks

In line with all staff in MAF UK you will be required to:

1. Be a role model of organisational values and beliefs - contributing to the shared spiritual life of the MAF UK team as a unique Christian charity. This will include attendance and participation in corporate times of biblical reflection and corporate prayer meetings

You will be joining a supportive and ambitious Fundraising department as we embark on a new fundraising strategy (2025-2029), with a renewed focus on growing our supporter numbers alongside growing our income, so we can increase our impact for people with cystic fibrosis. This is a key role in the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships team to help achieve its plans for growth. 
 
In this role, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of major donor relationships to raise substantial donations in line with agreed targets.
• Research, identify and cultivate new major donors and build strong ongoing relationships with existing supporters.
• Support the development and implementation of an effective major donor fundraising strategy to grow income over time.
• Organise and deliver high quality cultivation and stewardship events.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify projects that would be of interest to current and prospective major donors and prepare tailored proposals to secure funding.

 
We’re looking for someone with experience of fundraising from High-Net-Worth Individuals and a track record of securing high value gifts, with great communication and relationship building skills. You will have experience designing and delivering high impact stewardship programmes and an understanding of the legal, financial and ethical issues related to major gifts.

The position

The Royal Geographical Society (with The Institute of British Geographers) is seeking an Administrative assistant within the Director’s Office. This is an exciting opportunity to work across core areas of the Society and support key projects. The successful candidate must have an interest in Geography and enthusiasm for the work of the Society. The ideal candidate will have worked in an administrative capacity and will be highly organised with strong time management skills. Interpersonal skills are equally important as they will be working with different teams and must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assisting in administration of events that bring senior media and cultural (museums; theatres) decision makers together with sustainability specialists through the course of the year
• Working with the Programmes team to deliver this a high profile new photography festival each July
• Backing the Explore team’s delivery of events and materials including the annual November expeditions and fieldwork festival and the development of the linked Handbook and wider events programme across the year.
• Supporting the Education team in running competitions and linked events
• Participating in membership renewal processing during the busiest period in January/February
• Contributing to the delivery of the Medals and Awards Ceremony and AGM and Reception
• Aiding the Collections team in its progressive re-organisation of stores around the building
• Assisting the Director’s Office team in getting the most out of our CRM in terms of network/contacts management
