We are looking for a Head of Fundraising to be the sole income lead for a wonderful social welfare charity in West London.
This is London hybrid role, 4 or 5 days and condensed hours requests considered.
The Charity
You would be joining a vibrant, independent local charity providing a range of high-quality services and activities that promote wellbeing, combat loneliness, and empower people to remain independent and engaged in their community. Growing and diversifying fundraising is a strategic priority for them, with high-level board support via their expert, invested Fundraising Working Group.
The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO to develop and deliver a strategic Fundraising strategy across multiple income streams.
The fundraising income is currently c£300,000 per year (primarily from Trusts) and they have ambition to grow this to £500,000 over the next three years from a range of sources.
The charity are excited by the range of opportunities to develop income across income streams, and are keen to find an independent, pro active Head Of Fundraising to spearhead growth.
Implement and manage acquisition of potential donors, cultivating relationships, soliciting donations, and engaging in ongoing stewardship activities to retain and grow support.
The team will be looking to recruit a support for this role once in post.
The Candidate
A proactive relationship fundraiser keen to develop and deliver a broad stratgy of fundraising activity across a range of income streams.
A track record of securing significant income from at least three of the following individual giving (including High Net Worth and regular giving), trusts/foundations, corporates, community/events, and/or legacy support.
Experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies and plans.
Knowledge of Gift Aid guidelines, reporting and processes.

Trusts and Grants Fundraising - Tasks and Responsibilities

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our Individual Giving Officer (Stewardship). This is a vital new role sitting in our recently expanded Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving team.
You will deliver a defined stewardship strategy and supporter care programme aimed at engaging with donors in a range of ways, to ensure that both new and existing donors are appropriately acknowledged, recognised, and informed about the impact of their giving – providing the highest quality of relationship with our charity.
You will develop and drive forward a cohesive multi-channel stewardship and supporter care programme that supports and engages all those who give through our individual giving programme, including cash and regular donors. You will ensure that supporters receive a level of relationship that is personalised to their level and pattern of giving.
You will build important relationships with colleagues across the Development Office, including working with Philanthropy colleagues to engage mid-value donors with stewardship events. You will also work closely with our Communications colleagues to develop and deliver stewardship mailings to our target audiences.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan, manage and deliver a multi-channel stewardship and supporter care programme to communicate with our supporters in a range of ways that makes them feel valued and informed – and build relationships with them to keep them engaged with our work and increase their level of giving in the longer-term.
You will:
- Work with your Manager to devise and implement strategies for supporter stewardship, ensuring individuals are thanked, informed and engaged.
- Be responsible for analysing data and insights to develop segmented and personalised stewardship plans, that reflect donor interests and motivations.
- Manage, coordinate and produce a regular and consistent programme of communications with donors, including annual impact report and SEARCH magazine.
- Manage the supporter care function, to enhance donor stewardship by providing personalised and timely thank you communications – and high-quality data practices.

About You
You are a confident and experienced fundraiser, who is passionate about building deep and lasting relationships with supporters, and who is adept at creating inspiring and personalised communications, events and experiences to engage them with our research and to highlight the impact of their support.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of stewardship and supporter care best practices, ideally in a charity setting
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to engage a variety of audiences
- Experience of leading and motivating internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling copy across a range of channels, with attention to detail

The Development Office Directorate is responsible for fundraising and philanthropic income across the ICR, maximising support from major donors, individuals, trusts, corporates, charity partners and events. The team
Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.
We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.
Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:
·Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, the charity’s first patron programme, and special events to support these activities.
·Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.

You’ll also work closely with our Digital and Content team to evaluate and report on the performance of our website and donate funnel and develop and implement optimisation plans to drive engagement and increase conversions.
Additionally, this role provides mentorship and guidance to colleagues in the wider organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence.
This role is responsible for:
- Analysing audience behaviour, campaign, channel, and content performance, and engagement trends to support decision-making. Using advanced techniques like predictive analytics to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Work closely with our Digital and Content team to support all our monthly, quarterly and campaign reporting and develop data analysis that align with our goals.
- Creating and maintain dashboards and reports, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Power BI to track and present analysis clearly to stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimise our digital analytics infrastructure. Design and implement tagging and tracking, trouble shoot or fix configuration issues and ensure accuracy of our tracking across all our analytics systems, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Guiding and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practices in data analysis to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data by conducting regular audits and supporting data cleansing efforts.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts to improve analysis and reporting, staying up-to-date on the latest tools and practices in digital data analysis.
For this role we’re looking for:
- Experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles,
- Experience with digital channel analytics (social media, websites, email) and content optimisation e.g. through A/B testing and conversion analysis.
- Experience in advanced analytics techniques to optimise engagement and marketing strategies.
- Technical expertise in data analysis, manipulation, and visualisation using tools like Google Analytics, SQL, Power BI
- Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Position: Transformation Project Manager
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours a week
Contract: Fixed Term contract – 12 months
Location: Office based in London, with flexibility to work remotely
Salary: Starting from £44,339 per annum plus excellent benefits
Salary Band and Job Family: Band 3 Profession/ Technical
*you’ll start at our entry point salary of £44,339 per annum, increasing to £47,110 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £49,881 after a further 6 months.

As Project Manager within the transformation programme team, you’ll take the lead on delivering a key strategic project – ensuring it is well-scoped, carefully planned, and delivered on time, on budget, and in line with its intended benefits.
Beyond leading your assigned project, you’ll play an important role in supporting effective resource and dependency management across the wider programme. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to coordinate delivery, align priorities, and ensure interdependencies are actively managed.

We are looking for someone with
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, including budget management of over £250k
- Experience of leading project delivery teams
- Skilled in working across cross-functional teams to align around shared goals
- Proficient in both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, with the ability to apply a blended approach
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and maintain effective relationships
- Strong problem-solving, planning, prioritisation, and time management abilities
- Confident in assessing risks and issues accurately and taking appropriate action
- Knowledge of data platforms and CRM technologies is desirable
Please note this is a fixed term role for 12 months.
