Measures of success – 

In the first few months, you would have:

• Secured substantial new partnership income by crafting compelling proposals, with particular focus on sponsorships for our flagship annual appeal "Make Some Noise Day."

• Developed a solid understanding of Global’s Radio, Digital, and Outdoor platforms in order to leverage them effectively for charity partnership campaigns.

• Provided exceptional account management and smooth project implementation, ensuring partnership deliverables align with key objectives.

Responsibilities of the role

• Be responsible for securing a fixed amount of new business income annually. Identify and secure new high-value partners through proactive prospecting, engaging pitches, and effective relationship building. 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless partnership delivery, including Campaigns, Talent, Finance, Legal, Commercial planning and more.

• Brainstorm creative branded content ideas and partnership solutions to meet both proactive and reactive briefs.

• Produce comprehensive post-campaign partnership reports to summarize activities to highlight key learnings and recommendations.

• Diligently manage partnership accounts, providing materials, resources, contracts and project plans as required.

• Provide support to Head of Brand Partnerships on all projects and practice adaptability according to external and internal priorities.

• Develop strong working relationships and exceed expectations with partners secure repeat business.

• Produce compelling case studies and pitch documents to support new business endeavours and potential award entries.

• Support with financial reporting, income tracking and forecasting.

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team within the Crisis at Christmas Team to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. About the role

As a Project Coordinator – Resources your role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the required material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Gift in kind donations we require range from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and minibuses. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running community donations.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have

• Experience of customer service and ability to deal with working with partner organisations and donors via phone and email in a professional and friendly manner.

About the role

C4WS Welfare Coordinator Advert 2024:

C4WS Homeless Project (registered charity, no 1189622) which provides support to people experiencing homelessness year-round, through a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, mentoring scheme, hosting scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently.

What We Do:

Every winter, we work with a number of churches in the London Borough of Camden who offer their venues to us to run a night shelter. We operate from a different venue every night of the week, and run one circuit, accommodating 16 guests.

We provide camp beds and offer a hot evening meal. Our guests leave in the morning after a hot breakfast, ready to attend activities and meetings in our offices in Euston.

Advice and Support

Whilst the shelter operates seasonally, every winter, our team works year round, dedicated to offering advice, advocacy and practical support. This can be accessed by former night shelter guests, and via our weekly drop in, Friday Club. Guests can also access other services provided by C4WS including lunch, laundry and showers.

The Role:

Our small, dedicated team is looking for a Welfare Coordinator, to deliver holistic welfare support to all those who access our services. You will work alongside another member of the team to ensure that guests are supported both during and after their stay in the C4WS night shelter to ensure the stability of their move on.

You will possess a passion for working in the homeless sector, supporting those experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and ideally have direct and relevant experience of working with this demographic, or similarly vulnerable and/or disadvantaged groups.

As well as providing Welfare Support, you will also be a presence at the shelter for up to two evenings a week during the shelter season (November – March) including weekends, and you will need to lead a team of volunteers to ensure the safe running of the shelter on those occasions.

It is thanks to a wide network of referral partners, corporate and individual volunteers, plus the support of several religious communities in Camden, who we have worked with over the last 20 years, that we can have such a positive impact on a person’s life. We’re looking for a Major Events Lead to coordinate and help deliver a significant event in 2025, focused on environmental recovery and holding Government to account for its record on nature.

The event will bring together the nature sector for what we hope will become an annual event, one that becomes a fixture in the political and press calendar, as well as a focal point for the environmental movement.

Can you help us pioneer this major event?

We’d like to find someone with experience of running major events, in a significant venue, with high-profile speakers and major political and public interest.

You’d be joining a small, dynamic Link team, but working with partners from across the UK’s nature charity sector. We hope this will be a chance to organise an event that makes a real difference for the future of nature.

Job Title: Ecologist

Advertised Salary: £32,427

Base Location: Home-based with requirements for national travel.

We're the charity who look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways across England and Wales, because we believe that life is better by water. Every role across the Trust plays its part in transforming our canals and rivers into spaces where local people want to spend time and feel better, bringing wellbeing benefits to millions.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to join our Environment and Climate action team within the S&I Directorate and is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategy and policy on all environment and climate related sustainability issues, including environmental compliance as a minimum, improvement of our protected sites and achieving a net gain in biodiversity across our canal network.

The Ecologist will be responsible for providing professional technical input into the Trust’s strategic activities around nature recovery. This includes collecting and analysing information and data to support a long-term action plan to move more of our protected sites towards favourable condition and support projects that increase biodiversity and the abundance of protected species across the network.

The Canal & River Trust is in an ideal position, as a large landowner with blue and green corridors connecting habitats across the landscape, to carry out environmental enhancements using our local volunteer workforce to ensure that we improve habitats and support biodiversity. Planting the right trees in the right places, reconnecting old hedgerows and restoring or creating wildflower meadows and linear species-rich grasslands to provide a safe haven for wildlife and a destination for people to retreat to from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Reconnecting people with the nature on their doorstep and offering them opportunities to get involved in looking after ‘their patch’ through guided walks and talks.

Our aim is to support the work of the Trust as a whole, while conserving and enhancing the environment of the inland waterway network. Finding simple and innovative solutions/methods of work to ensure that the modern-day use of the waterways, their historical importance, the Trust’s legal obligations and strategic priorities are met through sustainable development, conservation and enhancement of the natural environment.

Location

The role will be based working from home, with the expectation to attend main regional hubs either at Milton Keynes, Birmingham, or Little Venice (Paddington), for collaborative working. This is a national role, requiring collaboration with teams in all six of the Trust’s regions. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the regional waterway network.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key accountabilities:

• Provide ecological technical advice as requested. This includes input into Trust EMS standards and tools and nature recovery projects.
• Contribute to the Trust’s Nature Recovery Strategy and associated sustainability initiatives, with a view to increasing biodiversity across the Trust’s network
• Contribute to national programmes of engagement with customers, volunteers, stakeholders and the general public to promote the value of waterways and the work of the Trust to increase the Trust’s reputation and influence and secure additional resources for our work, focusing on our key sustainability priorities.
• Work with regional ecology teams to implement relevant inspection/monitoring and maintenance programmes for environmental/soft estate assets within their geographical remit, (re-)prioritising work to suit available resources and within delegated authority levels.
• Contribute to the implementation of an environmental management system (EMS; including associated processes & standards) especially with responsibility for monitoring national uptake
• Collaboration with regional teams to maintain ecology and nature recovery performance data (e.g. GIS layers, ecological baseline and species location data)
• Assist in the development of environmental training & competency
• Contribute to corporate targets on raising public awareness of and support for the Trust especially through interest in our environmental assets.
• Contribute to external engagement and fundraising nationally to secure additional resources for the Trust, especially through interest in our environmental assets
• Displaying the Trust values and behaviours at all times
• Ensuring that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promoting inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values

Knowledge, Skills & experience

• Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.
• Associate member of relevant professional institution, e.g. CIEEM, CIWEM, CIWM, IEMA, etc
• Proven postgraduate experience in application of technical knowledge within a business environment.
• Able to negotiate effectively with internal and external contacts to achieve desired outcomes for the Trust.
• Able to support other areas of the Trust’s business in an appropriate manner, taking account of overall business priorities.
• Knowledge of, and practical experience of operating within, UK & European environmental policy and regulatory frameworks
• Experience of operating within a customer service environment
• Understanding of Trust governance, financial controls and systems of compliance

Chief Executive Officer, Remote, 35 hrs Salary £90,097

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.

A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.

Our new strategy is built around pillars of Impact, Brand and Sustainability with an ambition to grow in delivery as well as reputation. GFS is aware that the work done to listen to and amplify girls’ voices is important because they have so much to say about what needs to change and from a very young age.
