This new Fundraising Lead role is central to our strategy - designed to secure sustainable income through community engagement, partnerships, and bold, values-aligned funding. You’ll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious fundraising strategy that aims to grow income to £400,000+ per year - supporting both WSUP’s immediate needs and long-term growth. This will include a blend of bid writing, challenge events, and community-led fundraising, working closely with volunteers, partners, and local supporters to build strong relationships and unlock sustainable income.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & income generation 

· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

· Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Service Delivery Manager and Deputy Service Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

· Donor stewardship: Manage and nurture relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting and impact updates.

· Donor stewardship: Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

· Fundraising strategy: Support the development and implementation of WSUP’s fundraising strategy, identifying new opportunities for income growth.

Essential skills & experience

· Fundraising knowledge: Understanding of trust, foundation, and corporate fundraising, with proven experience of writing successful grant applications.

· Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.

· Relationship management: Ability to build relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders at various levels.

· Organisational skills: Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

In addition to leading on the strategic planning for growth in the areas outlined above, you’ll be confident in establishing relationships across the organisation, collating the data and information needed to ensure that Fundraisers are able to build an excellent case for support to take to their donors. Purpose of the job

 You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth. To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker who is highly organised, adaptable and flexible, able to inspire campaigns, appeals and experiences to drive income growth across a range of platforms and linking in potential support to the work of NDAS.

 Key Accountabilities

Job description
The Programmes and Funding Officer will provide administrative support on grant-making processes and support the delivery of key NHS staff recognition and support funds. You will act as the point of contact for grant holders and fundholders, supporting and offering guidance and advice where necessary in a timely fashion, building on these relationships, helping to raise the profile of the Charity and supporting the Head of Programmes and Funding to identify opportunities to develop and fund activities.
 
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in an administrative support and/or customer-facing role, ideally in a funding environment or similar, as well as experience interacting with and supporting a diverse range of stakeholders.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising to be the sole income lead for a wonderful social welfare charity in West London.

The Charity

The Role

Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our high value fundraising.

As Philanthropy Manager you will be responsible for growing income from major donors and Trusts and Foundations through excellent donor stewardship. Leading a team of committed Trust fundraisers, you will focus on identifying prospective individual donors and foundations and develop lasting relationships with them. Leadership

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships  team as our Trusts Officer. This is a 12 month fixed term contract, based between home and our offices in Kings Cross, London.

Sense has a strong track record in Trusts fundraising over many decades, with a talented, supportive fundraising team in place. We have six- figure and multi-year partnerships with leading UK grantmakers, and a portfolio of dedicated Trust supporters, but there is room to grow, and space to make your mark. 

The successful candidate will play an important part in delivering Sense’s strategy to reach 50,000 people with complex disabilities by 2026. Central to this strategy is securing the income needed to deliver and grow charitable services, covering children’s, arts, sports and capital projects, helping to bring forward the day when no-one is left of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential Trust and Foundation funders for priority projects
• Write funding applications, coordinating inputs and creating budgets as needed
• Work closely with operational and finance colleagues to maximise success
• Maintain accurate database records and monitor personal performance
• Secure income from a range of Trusts and Foundations to meet agreed income targets
• Steward a portfolio of funders to strengthen relationships, including thanking, reporting and organising visits
• Contribute to wider team and organisational goals by working with other members of the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships Team (which includes Philanthropy, Special Events, and Corporate)

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising for Age UK (West London Branch), to be the lead income generation specialist and take a hands-on approach to a broad range of fundraising and build a team in the longer term.

This is London hybrid role, with 1-2 days a week in the office with a range of flexible options of condensed hours and or job share options.

The Role
The Head of Fundraising is a pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CEO and joining the SMT.

You would be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering income generation strategy.

As the sole dedicated income generation specialist, you will take a hands-on approach to all aspects of fundraising and business development, identifying opportunities, building partnerships, securing funding, and maximising income from a diverse range of sources.

The fundraising income is currently c£300,000 per year and they have ambition to grow this to £500,000 over the next three years to ensure that they can continue to be there for older people when they are in need.

You would lead and manage the acquisition of potential donors, cultivate relationships, solicit donations, and engage in ongoing stewardship activities to retain and grow support.

The Candidate
This would suit a a proactive hands on fundraiser, happy to be a sole fundraiser within a wider supportive team.

Someone with a proven track record of securing significant income from at least three of the following individual giving (including High Net Worth and regular giving), trusts/foundations, corporates, community, and/or legacy support.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
• Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
  • Developing propositions and cases for support
  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
