Job description:
Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a Senior Income Generation Manager to be an essential lead across all areas of the Trust’s income streams, with a focus on developing our current corporate partnerships, explore and build new potential partnerships and maximise our fundraising potential through a private event, fundraising challenge, individual giving and fostering new ideas alongside the events calendar. Managing the income generation team, you will seek to maximise value from opportunities across the organisation and ensure that fundraising is consistent with the charity’s broader goals.
You will be an inspiring, collaborative manager who seeks out opportunities whilst supporting your team to succeed and achieve their potential. You will have a proven track record of designing, delivering and achieving ambitious income growth strategies, including demonstrable experience securing five and six-figure value partnerships, including multiyear, through philanthropy and corporate support, as well as an overall understanding of our wider key income streams, Grants & Trusts, Statutory, Education, Health and Corporate Personal Development & Employee Wellbeing products and services.

Key Areas of work
- Drive the delivery of our fundraising strategy, alongside the CEO, Board and Income Generation Committee to realise our fundraising ambitions of circa £1mil this FY.
- Responsible for the income generation team, developing the income strategies and raising both unrestricted and restricted income from corporate partnerships, fundraising events and challenges, charitable trusts, statutory bodies, the health sector and educational establishments.
- To seek out and maximise opportunities within our current areas of work, including the ongoing development of increasing our presence and impact at a local ‘hub’ level.
- Ensure consistent and professional presentation of the charity to all funding sources.
- Work closely with CEO & SMT to maximise awareness and funding of our work to allow for continued meaningful engagement with existing supporters and to enable us to reach new audiences.
- Ensure all team members adhere to best practices in fundraising, including the use of data, confidentiality and acknowledgement
- Work with CEO, Senior Finance Manager & Income Generation team to manage the fundraising budget, with direct responsibility for all fundraising lines, ensuring that income is accurately forecasted, and team members work to and report on set KPIs.
- Managing team members to ensure fulfilment of strategic objectives and values, ensuring efficient use of resources, and providing good communication and support.

Responsibilities
In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:
Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.
Management: You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.
Relationship:You will seek to actively develop and manage excellent relationships with an agreed portfolio of trusts/foundations and IMD capable of donating a minimum of £25,000 or more as a single gift each year. In addition you will need to:
- Develop and implement professionally written action plans which will engage, inform and nurture prospects and donors to deliver gifts at the agreed level.
- Undertake timely administration to capture and record knowledge of supporters within the customer relationship management database. Work with the organisation’s systems team to utilise this information to enhance applications and giving levels
- Pro-actively develop relationships with key stakeholders within the MAF organisation(s)
- Present MAF proposals alone or with others, (member of the operational field team, CEO etc), to prospects and donors.
- Participate in events to develop relationships with donors, inviting individuals from portfolios where appropriate and co-ordinate visits to MAF overseas operations where appropriate to introduce these donors directly to the work of MAF.
Information: Information management and analytical thinking is essential as you will present detailed, accurate and high-quality fundraising proposals to prospects and donors, ensuring any specific deadlines or funding windows are complied with. In addition you will need to:
- Ensure that donors are thanked appropriately for their gifts with timely and appropriate reports, letters and phone call.
- Provide timely ‘report backs’ that are appropriate/agreed with each donor, to evidence effective use of funding and to encourage the opportunity to make further applications based on good stewardship and achievement of agreed outcomes.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge, and the funding priority, of projects available for funding by trusts/foundations supporters and prospects.

Major Donor team (practice/ procedures/training):As a key member of the team you will need to ensure procedures and standards are developed/maintained to ensure we are effective and compliant with any legislation/regulation.
CRM Database: To provide support to the Partnership Executive, who will be the team’s CRM database lead and maintain a thorough working understanding of MAF UK’s CRM system in order to answer specific team queries. You will need to support the teams day-to-day CRM activities including producing reports, importing data, adding activities, amending details and any other relevant tasks

As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. You’ll also contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors.
You’ll be joining the fundraising team at an exciting time as we look to build out the function in the coming years. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. With a healthy pipeline already developed for the current and next financial year, you’ll have plenty of lead time to find your feet, with a realistic (shared) fundraising target of securing c.£500K of new voluntary income in 2027. There is significant untapped potential in fundraising for Voice 21. This is a great opportunity for an adaptable, proactive fundraiser to make their mark, gaining experience and developing expertise across high value streams.
Key responsibilities

Research and develop a qualified pipeline of trust/foundation and corporate prospects to ensure we achieve voluntary income targets in 2027/28 and beyond.

Draft winning funding bids and support the Head of Fundraising and/or CEO to develop compelling proposals and/or pitches.

Support and manage the CEO to lead relationships with funders and prospects.

Lead on managing the funder reporting cycle and ensuring we deliver on our funding agreements, producing timely and inspiring impact reports.

Drive awareness and understanding of fundraising internally by making connections with colleagues across the organisation and working collaboratively to support achieving fundraising goals.

Maintain the quality of data in the fundraising team CRM (Salesforce), managing contacts and pipelines through the database and producing accessible reports on fundraising performance and forecasts.
Essential knowledge and skills

Previous high value fundraising experience (trusts and foundations, corporates or philanthropy), with a track record of successfully securing significant donations and achieving income targets.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate.

About the Role
Responsibilities of the role comprise:
Campaign planning
- Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
- Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
- Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.
- Analyse campaign effectiveness, including setting and tracking metrics across digital and traditional media.

Press Office function
- Lead proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments and tracking positions on issues relating to NYA’s work.
- Develop key messages and positioning statements on issues in the youth sector and NYA’s activities, role and stance and promote consistency of messaging across NYA’s channels.
- Managing and responding to reactive media enquiries, providing statement and reactive ‘lines to take’, with the support of the Head of Communications

About You
Essential competencies of the Campaigns and Media Manager:
- A self-starter brimming with creative ideas and proven experience of designing and executing high-impact campaigns that bring about a measurable change in knowledge, behaviour and / or policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including political audiences, and confident in growing new relationships and leading meetings.
- An ability to grasp complex information and distil key messages for different audiences and crucially, which tactics and channels to use to engage them
- Have proven experience and a strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with demonstrable experience of having nurtured relationships with national and sector journalists to garner high-quality coverage.
- An understanding of how to use research and intelligence gained from listening exercises and other stakeholder insights to inform campaign messaging and metrics.
- Be skilled in developing media strategics and developing case studies and using data to create compelling new hooks

Working in close collaboration with the Senior Mass Fundraising Lead, the role will manage and deliver a variety of community-led fundraising initiatives and dynamic challenge events that engage supporters and generate vital unrestricted funds for children affected by neuroblastoma.
The role focuses on building strong relationships with fundraisers, volunteers and ambassadors, providing guidance, support and motivation to help them surpass their fundraising goals. The Community and Challenge Events Fundraising Manager will both steward existing and reactive contacts, as well as be confident in securing new networks, including representing the charity in presentations and other public speaking opportunities.

The Role

- To work collaboratively with, and offer support to, the rest of the UK team, to best meet S.A.L.V.E.’s aims and objectives.
- To work with the S.A.L.V.E. team as required, developing and improving our existing programmes of work to best benefit our service users.
- To raise awareness of the work of S.A.L.V.E. International and be an ambassador for us in the community.
Key Activities
The following activities are intended as a guide to the main responsibilities of the post and are not an exhaustive list of duties and tasks. To carry out these activities you will be working together with and given support by the Development Manager. The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are not listed below, at the direction of their manager. - Researching and writing funding applications to Trusts, Foundations and Corporate CSR programmes, in order to secure funding for new programmes or projects
- Writing funding reports, to fulfil obligations to funders
- Building strong relationships with funders and partners, to secure long-term, sustainable funding and identify new funding opportunities
- Leading on the design and delivery of the organisations Community Fundraising strategy
- Supporting the CEO and Development Manager with admin tasks, to ensure the effective functioning of the organisation.
- Working with the S.A.L.V.E. team to deliver on our strategic plan. Contribute to its review and improvements over time to maximise the organisation’s impact with our service users through regular evaluation and learning reviews where required.

EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or above or at least three years’ work experience
- Demonstrable fundraising work experience: minimum two years, ideally with experience of trust fundraising.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage donors, corporate partners, and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify funding opportunities and assess their suitability
- Excellent IT Skills including a wide range of software packages such as Excel, Word etc
- Experience of using design software packages such as Canva (preferrable)
- Experience using a CRM for donor management (Beacon preferred)
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Uganda and its culture, particularly if you have spent time there.
- Knowledge of international development, homelessness, social entrepreneurship, social work and/or addiction.

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.
We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people.
We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Role Purpose
Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.
Responsibilities and Duties

Managing bid writing process, including gathering input from colleagues

Briefing programme colleagues on project monitoring required to produce funding reports, including case studies

Working with CEO to ensure monitoring takes place throughout project delivery and within reporting timelines for multiple projects and funders

Maintaining administrative procedures effectively to support and monitor our fundraising activities. This includes keeping donor records and our database (Salesforce) up to date, ensuring income is recorded accurately and the pipeline is updated, mailing documents and thanking donors

The Noah’s Ark Charity supports the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in providing world-class care, helping to ensure the best outcome and experience possible for children and their families.
Having raised more than £30 million to build and equip the hospital, today we continue to work hand in hand with the NHS, providing funding for the most up-to-date equipment and facilities. We also fund services like the play specialist team and emotional support for families.
This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a small but determined team. Working closely with the wider charity team, this role offers a real opportunity to see the impact that your work has on the children and families we support and to grow our fundraising reach within your geographical region.
The geographical region will cover anything west of Bridgend and up to Aberystwyth. Ideally, candidates would be based in the Carmarthen/Llanelli area. This is a home-based role, with frequent travel throughout Wales, and monthly travel to Cardiff.
Scope of role
This recently created role within the Noah’s Ark Charity, which will grow our regional community fundraising presence and offering. The postholder will know the West Wales area well and will become the expert in fundraising opportunities within the region, building strong relationships within the community, including companies and will develop supporter-led activity. The postholder will plan for and deliver income for the charity within the region, in line with wider fundraising strategy.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Income generation
- To plan for and deliver income to target through key performance indicators as agreed with community fundraising manager.
- To develop new supporter relationships within the community, in a planned way, to achieve income and provide excellent supporter care to ensure the relationship is ongoing, beyond one-off support for the charity.
- To lead on and deliver community fundraising within the region, through relationships with patient families, third party fundraisers, community groups, schools and education establishments and public bodies.
- To build strong corporate partnerships within the region, to an agreed income level, with the support of the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development.
- To lead on key projects to develop income generation.
- To contribute to the strategic development of community fundraising.
- Plan and deliver events in the community where necessary.
- Secure and deliver engaging presentations to groups and organisations.
2. Ambassador programme
- To build the family ambassador programme within the region, growing the network of key supporters who will represent and be the face of the charity within their local community.
- Support the community fundraising manager with the development of the ambassador programme including training and thanking opportunities.
3. Supporter experience
- To champion consistent and excellent supporter care.
- To record all communications accurately on the database, ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the data protection act, GDPR and the charity’s data protection policy.
- To respond to supporter enquiries in a timely manner and deal with complaints, escalating as appropriate.
- To deliver an excellent supporter journey and contribute to the central supporter journey for community fundraising.
4. Cross team working
- To work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues across the team to deliver wider fundraising income and charity objectives. For example, gifts in wills, regular giving, event participation, volunteering and communications.
5. Budgets
- Work with the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development, to build and manage a detailed fundraising budget, including income and expenditure.
- Provide forecasts throughout the year, for agreed streams of income.
6. Best practice
- Ensure all fundraising practice is in line with organisational guidelines and policies.
- Encourage and champion compliance and best practice within the fundraising team.
- Ensure own compliance with fundraising standards and requirements, keeping up to date with key policies and regulations, including the fundraising regulator, chartered institute of fundraising and the charity commission.
7. Undertake any other duties which might be required to fulfil the general purpose of the post.

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and
administrative skills, and ideally have experience working with colleagues from different cultural
backgrounds.
The initial focus of the role will be monitoring and reporting in relation to the implementation of a Big 6
EU funded programme, the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF). This programme focuses on supporting
youth-led initiatives, giving young people the means to be effective agents of change. The YEF is global
in its reach but will focus on supporting local solutions and grassroots initiatives that young people
develop on the ground. The Officer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager to maintain and
grow Big 6 advocacy and partnerships for the short and long-term. This role will also work closely with
colleagues from the Operations and Finance team to ensure accurate information is delivered to key
stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):
- Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
- Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
- Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
- Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.
Other Grant based support (40%):
- Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.
