We are recruiting a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the team at an exciting time in the charity’s corporate fundraising journey. In this role you will be tasked with the exciting challenge of developing and managing a pipeline of successful and mutually beneficial corporate partnerships.
Working across specific campaigns you will be required to identify new corporate leads communicating with key contacts in order to encourage and motivate them to engage with CHSF in a meaningful and beneficial way. You will also be required to nurture the relationships with existing partners, providing them with regular charity updates and encouraging their ongoing support. You will be well supported in the position but will also have the scope and flexibility to demonstrate your own flair and passion when engaging with supporters.
To be considered for this role you will ideally come to us with experience working in a fundraising setting and a good understanding of the important elements of managing corporate relationships. We are also happy consider applications from individuals from a more corporate sales or business development background who are looking to apply their skills in a charitable setting. Integral to success in this role will be your ability to follow a specific sales / business development process and you will ideally have experience adopting a systematic approach to generating and managing leads. Perhaps most importantly you should be determined, reliable and organised with a methodical and flexible approach to work and be committed to the values and cause of this wonderful organisation.
This role is a part-time position covering a maternity period of 9 months. Due to the impact of Covid-19 the role is currently based from home but, when open, the offices are based in Leeds. For the right candidate we would be happy to consider someone based entirely from home.

We have a new vacant post available for a Fundraising Manager, who will be required to increase the profile of Home-Start Kirklees for the purpose of raising funds to achieve long term financial sustainability for the business, and take a lead on marketing, fundraising and bid writing. Working as part of the senior team, the postholder will also deputise for the Director during absence. Some evening and weekend work may be required on occasion. The post holder will report to the Director.
Essential requirements include:
- Successful experience in fundraising, bid writing and marketing.
- Experience of generating income for sustainability.
- Full ability to use IT and social media.
- Ability to work as part of a team with supervisory support.
- Understand confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
- Car driver/owner (expenses will be paid)

Job Purpose and Scope
To support SKT head office and Field offices in the organisation’s growth through proactive management and coordination of institutional funding and strategic partnerships across SKT’s countries of operations. The Manager IFSP will focus on securing funds, building and enhancing strategic with Institutional Donors, Trusts, Foundations, Limited Companies, Arab donors, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) in the UK, Europe, the USA and Middle Eastern Countries.
Main Responsibilities
Funding Strategy/ Planning (30%)
- To analyse donors’ funding priorities, gathering related intelligence and identifying new potential donors for SKT humanitarian and development projects in the target countries.
- To gather information about institutional and other donors’ thematic and geographical preferences. These include UN Agencies, EU/ECHO, DFID/UKAID, USAID, GOAC, Government of Isle of Man etc.
- To develop a database of existing and potential institutional donors through donor mapping for HQ and field offices
- To support senior management in the preparation/ updates of organisational and departmental strategy and planning
- To participate in relevant internal and external working groups, conferences and workshops for networking and profile building of SKT
- To travel nationally and overseas for networking in addition to establishing an understanding for better, up-to-date programme design and proposal development
Proposal Development (30%)
- To assist programmes department at the HQ and field levels in developing high quality concept notes, proposals, budgets and logframes for submission to institutional and other donors
- To make sure all the supporting documents are readily available for submission to institutional donors, trusts, foundations, corporate sector, etc.
- To ensure all submissions are in line with donor guidelines, internal criteria and international standards
- To make coordination with programme, finance and all related staff/ partners across all HQ and field levels for gathering information required for CN and Detailed proposal
Grants Management and Reporting (20%)
- To assist programmes department at the HQ and field levels in undertaking grants management oversight role, including monitoring of projects' compliance with approved funding standards, policies and practices; ensuring any needed amendments are secured, etc.
- To assist programmes department in ensuring high quality reports to donors meeting their requirements and highlighting the impact and value of SKT’s work
- To gather relevant and updated information from respective programme staff for annual report
Capacity Building (10%)
- To identify the training needs of the programme and other staff at the HQ and field office levels;
- To prepare material for training workshops for programme and other staff and deliver trainings on quality proposal development, project cycle management, logframes, and reporting to donors at the HQ and field levels
- To Liaise across the organisation to share learning and best practices
Due Diligence Documentation (10%)
- To prepare and update due diligence and capacity assessment related documents, polices and manuals for submission to institutional and other donors
- To prepare documents required for memberships, networks and entities.
General
- Must adhere to the charities policies and procedures, e.g. Data protection, Health & Safety at Work, Global Code of Conduct, and Safeguarding etc.
- Must respect the confidentiality of all matters relating to their employment and other members of staff

The main purpose of this role is to generate new business and community based funders and sponsors as well as managing and developing their network of existing relationships, with a focus on the geographical area of Yorkshire.
The aim is both to raise funds to cover the costs of running existing and establishing new services and other projects operated by the organisation within the agreed area that are not covered by statutory funding; as well as ensuring the work and mission of the whole charity becomes better known amongst the local community and corporate organisations and their staff.
The secondary purpose of the role is to plan, manage and execute a programme of fundraising initiatives across the area to encourage the community and corporates to help generate income through well considered, thoughtfully planned and effectively delivered programmes of fundraising activities.
Key responsibilities
- Build and nurture productive working relationships with corporate partners,community supporters and new contacts.
- Identify prospective new corporate partners through research and networking, with a view to maximising sustainable opportunities for services in the area.
- Promote networking events in order to raise the profile of the charity and its activities both nationally but with a particular focus on the Yorkshire region.
- Deliver the annual fundraising events as agreed with the fundraising manager.
