This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual to provide expert marketing support across a range of projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices, with a particular focus on service marketing.

The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. In collaboration with the hospital trust and the NHS we also fund research projects and develop new initiatives for babies, children and young people with heart and lung conditions.

Main Duties and Responsilbilties 

Community and Events Fundraising

• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities.

• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration.

Individual Giving

• Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships.

• Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.

Supporter Care

• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. 

Administrative and Financial Support

• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.

• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.

• Overseeing our online shop.

Marketing and Communication

• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.

• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.

Additional Information

Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.

Our Fundraising Marketing team is looking for a proactive, creative and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Fundraising Marketing Executive. In this exciting role, you’ll help execute marketing campaigns that inspire supporters to participate in and donate to our fundraising events and initiatives.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team working across both digital and traditional marketing channels. You will create and publish engaging content across The Trust’s website, emails and social media channels, creating and evaluating effective marketing plans that help deliver against our brand and fundraising targets and our EDI strategy.

You will also work closely with teams across the organisation including Special and Mass Events, Individual Giving, Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Creative as well as external suppliers.

This role is perfect for you if you have experience in delivering traditional and digital marketing, know how to use social media platforms for organic and paid activity and analytics platforms for reporting. You’ll be a flexible team-player who’s able to show initiative to prioritise and meet deadlines and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Role Summary

As Head of Development, you will define and execute a bold fundraising strategy aligned with our mission and priorities. You’ll develop and strengthen relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, climate philanthropists, and institutional funders—particularly in the US and Europe.

You will lead the strategic direction for income generation and play a key role in strengthening our visibility in key philanthropic spaces. This role requires entrepreneurial thinking, the ability to work across continents and cultures, and a hands-on approach to building systems and narratives that resonate with diverse funders.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Innovation:

• Design and deliver a fundraising strategy that scales ProVeg’s income from major donors, climate (and other relevant) foundations, and institutional funders.
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams aligned with our climate and food system mission.
  Collaborate with leadership to strengthen our theory of change, donor engagement frameworks, and funding cases.

Donor & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate contacts and strategic partners.
• Represent ProVeg in donor meetings and high-level external events.
• Support the Senior Leadership Team and President in managing key donor relationships.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and grow the international fundraising function to increase income, capacity, and global reach.
• Drive team culture and performance, fostering professional development and a focus on measurable outcomes.

Cross-Organisational Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Communications, Programme, Finance, MEL, and Country teams to strengthen our fundraising infrastructure, materials, and processes.
• Ensure effective fundraising data management and internal reporting systems.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of senior-level fundraising experience, ideally with major donors and foundations in the US and/or Europe.
• Proven track record of securing six-figure + gifts, including new donor acquisition and multi-year commitments.
• Deep understanding of the climate philanthropy and/or food system transformation space.
• Experience working in international NGOs or with cross-country fundraising collaboration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across sectors and cultures.
• Strong writing and proposal development skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable building systems, not just managing them.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (minimum C2-level English).
• Strong analytical skills and experience measuring the success of fundraising activities.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with effective altruism and impact-led giving.
• Comfortable engaging in discussions around equity, justice, and sustainability in fundraising contexts.

This role will play a key part in supporting the recruitment and stewardship of major donors, as well as managing donor communications and nurturing long-term relationships. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management and development of the World Fellowship programme, including maintaining and deepening relationships with a portfolio of high-value donors through strategic engagement and stewardship
• Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute donor engagement events, including preparing targeted invitation lists, managing event follow-up, and ensuring meaningful donor experiences.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in fundraising and donor stewardship, with a track record of managing high-value supporter relationships and securing philanthropic income within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in creating compelling proposals, stewardship materials, and engaging with diverse stakeholders across various channels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of fundraising principles and donor research techniques.
• Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle donor data responsibly and efficiently.

About the Role

The Lead Lawyer - Africa Death Penalty Team is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. 

Our casework includes work on appeals to the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal in the context of historic denials of a right to appeal and related contextual challenges; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing, as well as supporting on individual strategic resentencing cases; and long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £52,088 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.
