About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and conscientious Corporate Appointee & Finance Officer to join our team.
This important role combines financial administration with the responsibility of acting as a corporate appointee or deputy, supporting vulnerable clients who are unable to manage their own financial affairs.
You will ensure that income such as welfare benefits and pension is received, bills are paid, and clients’ finances are carefully managed. You will use Xero accounting software to maintain accurate records and make secure online payments.
As part of our organisation, you will help ensure that some of the most vulnerable people in our community are supported to live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a corporate appointee or Deputy for clients in line with DWP requirements

About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and to play a vital role in securing income to support our youth activities – working with Trusts and Foundations predominantly, but with the opportunity to also build relationships with statutory funders and, in future, major donors.
We are looking for a proactive, organised individual to join Young Enterprise as part of our impactful and collaborative National Fundraising team. YE’s supportive yet driven environment places personal development at its core, to ensure team members thrive.

A few practical things
- This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from a YE office (London or Oxford) at least 8 times per month
- The role will involve travel to events, typically at schools, which take place during term time, however some evening working may also be required.

Over the last five years we have increased the number of individuals and organisation supporting the charity from 800 to more than 3,500 a year. The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more patients and provide additional support at a time when it is more critical than ever for kidney patients.
The Corporate Partnership Manager will play a key role in this growth. Our Corporate Partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.
Primarily, you will be responsible for building engagement and driving new income via charity of the year partnerships, corporate partnerships, and employee fundraising. You will manage the Corporate Partnership Officer who is developing a growing portfolio of supporters across different sectors. You will also work closely with the Events Manager, Trust & Foundation Manager, Head of Fundraising and Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications as well as the wider Fundraising team to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth.
Alongside the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications who takes a special interest in the charity’s Corporate Partnerships, you will be tasked with planning, implementing, and delivering the activities, programmes and processes required to grow corporate income from c£2.3m in 2025 to even greater levels over the coming years.
You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist via our current partnerships and relationships. A key part of this role will require you to develop new opportunities and secure significant income (5-and-6 figure partnerships) through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.
The right candidate will have a proven record of generating strategic partnerships that result in 5-and 6-figure corporate income, building strong and rewarding relationships, with stewardships skills that generate long term support for the charity. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Lead Trusts & Grants Officer is responsible for developing and delivering income from mid-value grant making funders, notably trusts and foundations. Fundraising and Grants Management
• Pipeline Management: Lead on prospecting, developing and managing the mid-value trusts and grants pipeline, focusing on bids around £20,000 - £70,000, including multiyear grants, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities to meet team income targets. Developing the skills and ability to manage higher value and more complex strategic bids.

Community Engagement Officer
This role is a FT maternity cover contract over a 15 month period, 38.75 hours pw with some weekend and evening working included. Overseen by our Head of Fundraising, this role primarily covers running the Shelters events alongside supervising our non animal related Volunteers overseeing the running of our two Charity shops , actively recruiting and managing new corporate sponsors and donors including our Helping Hands offering and attending general networking events.
A full description of the role is below. There is a six month probationary period and the rate of pay will be £13.25 ph plus other staff benefits including a work place pension and company sick pay.
This role will suit an enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated individual who likes a split of indoor and outdoor working. A practical individual the applicant must be confident and personable dealing with all types of people. A full driving licence is required and an immediate start would be preferred with a closing date of 30th November 2025.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Community Engagement Officer
Responsible to: Head of Fundraising
Post Objective: Working under the direction of the Head of Fundraising, to take responsibility for any community engagements. This being Corporate led commitments, events and management of Volunteers and the Charity Shops.
Responsibilities :-
- Work effectively as part of the Management team reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising to ensure that the Shelter is run in accordance with the instructions of the Board of Trustees.
- In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising team promote a range of fundraising events and functions on behalf of the shelter throughout the year including regular weekend activities, working closely with and involving other members of the management team, other staff and volunteers. Look after the entire life cycle of each event from initial enquiry/plan to completion.
· In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising team oversee regular Corporate groups attending the shelter, encouraging them to fundraise beforehand and afterwards. Support and lead their CSR day at the shelter.
· Responsible for the acquisition of new corporate partners and the effective stewardship and development of existing corporate relationships to maximise long-term support for the organisation.
· Take the lead on any General Shelter talks within the local community.
· Collaborate with the Education team and support them with workshops where requested and relevant.
· Manage and oversee events on the day of happening, including problem solving, welcoming guests/supporters, directing event set-up, communicating with staff and organizing vendors. Ensure all event equipment such as gazebo’s, tables, chairs, information stand, marketing materials, etc are available and loaded onto vehicles the night before and then unloaded when returned.
- Communicate with other members of the Fundraising team to create effective advertisements for each event, creating paper based items such as posters and information or for the website/Facebook online advertisements for individual events., leaflets and online advertisement.
- Anticipate and plan for different scenarios and where necessary plan multiple events at once.
· Have overall responsibility for the promotion and performance of the onsite and offsite Charity Shops liaising regularly with and managing the Onsite Shop Supervisor and offsite Shop Manager. Ensure that the EPOS system incorporating the Retail Gift Aid process works correctly and captures GA where possible.
· Actively promote and coordinate the collection of items for fundraising recycling, via the individual Charity Shops.
· Coordinate the distribution, collection and careful recording of money spinners , individual money collection tins and food collection bins.
· Pro-actively seek out new collection sites and times, gaining local council licences where necessary and be involved and co-ordinate these. Includes street collections ( Christmas and Race week) via Cheltenham Borough Council, Pets At Home store collections and regular supermarket collections.
· Ensure events are well manned by Volunteers and as much support is given as possible to all activities profiling the Shelter.
· Post and monitor adverts for and then recruit and induct new Volunteers for various non animal related roles as demand dictates within the Shelter.
· Monitor, encourage and support those volunteers in all aspects of daily life within both the Shelter and at all external events.
· Record regular hours of all Volunteers, hold thank you events and organise recognition certificates for long service Volunteers.
· Attend various Networking events to make new contacts and keep up to date with all local and national Volunteering groups and news.
· Promote the Animal Shelter in a positive and pro-active manner by improving systems and methods and provide an exemplary lead to staff.
· Provide excellent customer care when in contact with members of the public, supporters, sponsors ,and other’s presenting a professional image at all times.

Job Summary
Working with the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, this role supports high-value corporate partnerships through engagement, stewardship, and identifying new opportunities aligned with the charity’s goals. This newly established role in the income team reflects the growth of MHI’s partnerships and offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious corporate fundraiser with a passion for digital mental health. MHI is at a pivotal point in its development, having experienced significant growth since launching in 2017. Over the past 18 months, a primary focus has been on cultivating several major partners to support our core services (Shout and The Mix) and the development of three new digital mental health products. We are now looking to focus on these key partners, while expanding our portfolio of new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with high value corporate partnerships, including the delivery of employee engagement activities and communications, fundraising events and challenges
- Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering first class stewardship and identifying and maximising opportunities for wider engagement
- Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to steward and engage partners and prospects, including thought leadership, communications, events, volunteering and fundraising activities
- Support with business development, utilising Salesforce, Pearlfinders and LinkedIn to identify and track opportunities
- Support the Senior Corporate Partnership Manager to create proposals, offers and presentations for new and existing partners
- Manage team administration, including merchandise orders
- Build excellent stakeholder relationships, keeping key contacts updated and ensuring partnership renewals
- Work with Commissioned Partnerships and Trust and Foundations colleagues to identify cross and upsell opportunities
- Work with the Public Fundraising team to promote challenge events and identify opportunities for our corporate partners
- Collaborate with internal teams - including Public Fundraising, Commissioned Partnerships, Trusts and Foundations, Data Insights, Clinical, Marketing, Volunteer, and Finance - to coordinate engagement, insights, assets, and timely communications.
- Build relationships with new potential corporate prospects for 2025 to 2028 income opportunities.
- Build relationships with counterparts of other third sector charitable organisations who MHI may work closely with for partnership opportunities.

Person Specification
Essential
- 3+ years working with corporate partners, including building at least one new large corporate partnership
- 3+ years experience of working on community fundraising projects with the charity or through a corporate partner
- Experience of being highly organised, managing multifaceted partnerships in a charity setting, covering multiple projects and teams, and including reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with varying audiences, including corporate partners
- A strong interest in mental health and in data and technology, and an understanding of corporate partnership opportunities for the sector
Desirable
- Experience of using Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
- Experience of both face to face and virtual stakeholder meetings with high value corporate funders
- Experience of building employee and/or community fundraising events and opportunities

This is a varied role that will work as part of a small team to ensure we raise the funds needed to support the Peak District to be enjoyed by everyone, forever. You will help to raise funds to:
- Protect our peatlands. The Park contains some of the most degraded upland peatland anywhere in Europe. We’re working to restore Peak District blanket bogs and peatland back to health, conserving this vital carbon capturing habitat for the future.
- Restore habitats. Nature is in crisis even in our National Park. We’re working to create bigger, better and more joined up habitats across the Peak District, supporting biodiversity and providing essential corridors for wildlife.
- Connect people and communities to nature. The more people who are connected to nature, the more people will want to protect it. We are working to ensure people of all ages and backgrounds have opportunities to experience and care for our National Park.
- Ensure access for everyone. There are over 1,600 miles of paths within the National Park. We’re working to fund high quality path repair, improve access for people with disabilities and help more people enjoy their right to roam.
- Protect our cultural heritage. The Peak District landscape has been shaped by people. We’re working to protect and conserve these irreplaceable heritage sites, from historic buildings and industrial structures to pre-historic features.
