Plumstead Community Law Centre is a free specialist legal advice charity located in central Woolwich in South East London. We provide specialist legal advice and advocacy in the areas of immigration, welfare benefits and employment People can access our services via telephone or email, and through the Advice Hub outreach services we attend in local community centres. In 2024 over 1,400 local people accessed our advice and representation services, resulting in a range of financial and non-financial benefits.
Towards the end of 2024, we moved away from a collective model towards a functional management structure. We appointed an Interim CEO from the staff group and expanded our trustee board's size and expertise.
This Managing Director and Senior Solicitor role involves assuming the charity’s management from our interim CEO, who has established strong systems and secured new funding for the further strengthening of the charity. Our strategic plan includes improving our legal practice management with a view to obtaining a quality mark and securing an immigration legal aid contract. We anticipate securing further funding to expand our services, to support more people in need in our community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced solicitor who has a track record in supervision and management. Although the job description is wide ranging, support will be given through further recruitment of administrative support.
The Law Centre Managing Director and Senior Solicitor (“MD/SS”) is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Law Centre. Working within appropriate delegations from the Board, the post holder ensures that the Law Centre provides quality assured services that meet its charitable purposes. The MD/SS ensures that issues of risk and compliance are properly managed and that the Centre is an exciting, innovative and enjoyable place to work. The MD/SS ensures that the Centre operates within budgets set by the Board and 2 that it offers value for money. The MD/SS must ensure that legal, regulatory, grant, contractual and other relevant requirements are met and that the Centre continues to be relevant to its community.

The Performance Marketing Specialist will deliver, optimise and evaluate Battersea’s digital advertising campaigns, specialising in paid digital advertising channels such as Meta and TikTok.
The role will be responsible for implementing and managing large annual media spends to support the achievement of strategic objectives and individual campaign targets.

Edward Gibbons House is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Substance Misuse Worker to support our amazing residents.
Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. We remain committed to our East London roots and currently serve the communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and the City of London.
Our Senior Substance Misuse Worker works alongside members of the support team to create a safe and welcoming environment within a psychologically informed environment. You will contribute to the development of the recovery hub, by providing expertise in alcohol and drug misuse. Taking a lead role in delivering training/ advising staff on substance misuse issues, liaison with substance misuse agencies, facilitating multidisciplinary case conferences and negotiating access to detox and treatment services. Carrying out assessments of drug and alcohol usage with key clients, delivering brief and extended interventions, outlining risks, advice on harm minimisation and refer to specialist agencies.
You will also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.
You need to have experience of working with homeless people with complex needs, have a good understanding of strengths, needs, and risks they experience. Be competent with computer systems, and comfortable completing regular performance reports. The Senior Substance Misuse Worker is a day shift based role with evening and weekend working.

In this role, you will:
- Set the strategic direction for WaterAid’s internal communications. Drive execution of this strategy to ensure staff are informed and inspired, engaged, empowered and connected to each other and the mission.
- Lead WaterAid’s federation-wide approach to employee engagement, ensuring the use of advanced technology and systems to drive, monitor and maintain WaterAid’s high levels of employee engagement.
- Oversee and lead WaterAid’s federation-wide approach to leadership communications, ensuring alignment with the Global Strategy and strategic priorities. Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Direct Marketing Manager’ to join its award-winning and established team. The role is to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
The Direct Marketing Manager has operational and strategic responsibility in developing and implementing the Islamic Relief UK direct marketing programme. This includes the following key direct marketing channels: Email, SMS, Direct Mail, OOH and DRTV. The postholder will ensure the delivery of cross-channel, high profile and impactful marketing campaigns that drive action and improve supporter retention.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
- Educated to Degree level, or equivalent standard
- Professional qualification in Marketing
- Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Commercially aware with good understanding of budget management and ROI
- An aptitude to plan annually, multiple campaigns and activities
