About the Role
As a Philanthropy Executive, you’ll be at the heart of the team, providing vital coordination and administrative support to help us engage and steward our generous supporters. You’ll work across Major Gifts, Trusts and Foundations, and Stewardship and Communications, ensuring our donors receive an exceptional experience. This role is perfect for someone proactive, highly organised, and keen to build a career in Major Gifts fundraising.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the creation of compelling proposals, reports and thank-you communications
- Coordinating donor events, hospital tours and bespoke experiences
- Producing high-quality digital and print communications using InDesign
- Maintaining accurate donor records and supporting income processing
- Liaising with colleagues across the Charity and hospital to deliver impactful stewardship
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and great attention to detail
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Previous experience in an administrative, fundraising or supporter care role

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated Compliance, Risk, and Audit team. As we have an increasing focus on integrated safety and assurance framework, this role contributes to maintaining a safe and transparent working environment, to help protect and empower staff, residents, and participants, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will drive professional and effective compliance, risk, audit and safety standards, policies, and processes which embed systems which can be used to develop a safe and inclusive environment for all. You will deliver support in data protection, health and embed frameworks throughout SIG which are in line with regulatory and legislative change.
- Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective remedial actions, supporting future mitigation
- Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and provide practical, informed guidance during these engagements
- Manage data and analyse trends, creating high quality reports, which are clear and readable
- Facilitate and support organisational complaints processes to ensure adherence to policy, timescale, and best practice
- Investigate and lead on whistleblowing concerns and assist the audit and compliance team, champions, Managers, P&C and other relevant teams in acting appropriately on concerns raised and protecting the whistleblower
About you
- Previous experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
- Previous experience in governance systems and structures which could include auditing, risk management, investigations, and report writing
- Previous experience in managing quality standards
- Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
- Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Awareness and understanding of the impact of stigma and marginalisation on people who have multiple complex needs
- Working knowledge and experience of up-to-date legislation in health and safety in care and support settings, and ability to continuously monitor

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. With a particular focus on coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. Branch network and member support
- Work with the CEO to develop the SLA Branch Network and accompanying strategies
- Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
- Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them
- Provide advice for SLA members on all aspects of school libraries, ensuring they are supported and can be as effective as possible in their school communities
- Drive engagement and development of online communities as part of the branch network
Training and events
- Work with the Training and Events Coordinator to support and deliver a calendar of exciting, engaging and informative events
- Support the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops with a focus on the Branch network community
- Represent the association at relevant events and for programmes (e.g., conferences, webinars, book awards) to promote membership and services
- Support training and event delivery (online and in-person), engaging and inspiring audiences as needed
- Support development of training programmes, toolkits and resources using member insight to inform
Outreach and communications
- Coordinate the mentoring scheme and ensure it is promoted effectively, with necessary support and development available to mentees and training for mentors
- Use your sector insight to identify opportunities for development of research and other initiatives, maintaining links and horizon scanning
- Provide SLA consultancy aligned with strategic approaches, supporting schools with development of their libraries, reading and information literacy provision to help children and young people reach their full potential
- Contribute to SLA communications such as TSL, newsletters, updates, and promotional materials
- Oversee the book review process in support of TSL, our quarterly journal
- Supporting management of the SLA resource library, working with colleagues to ensure alignment
- Support outreach to new audiences
Building relationships and an ability to foster collaboration and community engagement will be an important part of this role. All team members contribute to office admin, maintaining member data and general office support.
To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:
· experience of working in school libraries, the education sector and a strong understanding of the education landscape
· clear understanding of the curriculum and teaching and learning outcomes
· knowledge of children and young people’s literature
· experience developing and delivering inspirational training, to small and large groups, both online and in person
· experience creating training resources, toolkits and teaching and learning resources

An expert communicator, you will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Experience of consultancy, schools’ engagement and outreach would be advantage.
The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

Join the innovative Bolton Listening Lounge, providing adults in Bolton with mental health and wellbeing support. Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and BAND/FAmily Action, the Bolton Listening Lounge is a collaborative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support from late afternoon into the evening. It provides a safe space for people who are experiencing mental distress or who feel that they are going through a personal crisis. Our staff will offer low level calming interventions and one to one support to identify the cause of the emotional distress and to put in place a plan including signposting and referring on to other organisations and services.

Complex Needs Practitioner (Recovery Worker)

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.
The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
All Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups.
A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical and emotional health, meaningful use of time, family and relationships, community engagement and activities, accommodation, physical and emotional health, offending as well as substance use (drug use and / or alcohol use).
Skills and Qualifications
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for an Support and Outreach Assistant to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our Roma Communities to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. Where local services and resources are not available you will also support the Outreach Team with the delivery of information, guidance and some direct interventions, such as training sessions, directly.
This is self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the Roma community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.
The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role, as well as your ability to speak Romanian. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:
- Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to Roma Big Issues vendors
- Delivery of direct intervention to Roma vendors using guidance and resources provided
- Join meetings with Roma Vendors and Outreach Workers to support with action planning and provision of support and guidance
- Support with translation and interpretation within your local team to enable accessibility of the service for Roma vendors
- Support the local Hand Up Service to build current knowledge of local and national agencies that can support Roma vendors

- Ensure that your work meets service standards and targets and complete surveys with vendors as required

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.
You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants.
You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.
Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.
