Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). Other key responsibilities include assisting the PBLM with any bespoke projects, assisting with training events for Development Partners on relevant legal topics, and engaging key Legal or Development Partners on any specific areas of legal interest or need.

The Role:
To assist in the delivery of a high-quality, widely respected and customer-influenced repairs and maintenance function by providing full project management support and customer liaison across the full range of Stoll’s property compliance and asset maintenance contracts and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the delivery of gas safety services to include annual gas safety checks to all dwellings and gaining access to inaccessible homes.
• Develop and maintain effective mechanisms to ensure all gas, LPG, oil, ASHP & renewables and solid fuel appliances are inspected annually.
• Maintain up-to-date and appropriate records for the proper management of the gas safety programme and all other property compliance programmes. This may include both paper and electronic records.
• Ensure that STOLL meet all statutory and HSE (Health and Safety Executive) requirements relating to all identified areas of property compliance including all elements of FLAGEL –   fire, legionella, asbestos, gas safety, electrical safety, and lifts.
• Work closely with the H&S Officer to ensure that work relating to fire safety is delivered appropriately and as required.
• Effectively manage appropriate facilities management and property compliance budgets and resources to ensure optimum service/programme levels are achieved.
• Process invoices and ensure contract payments are made in a timely fashion.
• Provide colleagues with itemised service charge estimates for tenants and leaseholders detailing the annual costs of servicing/maintenance/cyclical works.
• Ensure timely, accurate and relevant performance management information is available for review and can be produced for the property compliance function. Assist in monitoring performance targets to achieve continuous improvement.
• Assist with the preparation, administration and monitoring of facilities management and property compliance contracts and programmes. Prepare specifications and schedules and programmes of work. Issue works orders and monitor quantity, progress, and quality of works on site.
• Manage contractors daily across the full portfolio of facilities management and property compliance programmes, ensuring that contractors adhere to an agreed programme for each individual resident’s home and that collectively programmes are delivered on time.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of all records relating to property compliance and facilities management. This will include input and record keeping and include supervision of contractors.
• Records must be maintained to a standard which ensures that all information in connection with servicing and testing programmes is readily retrievable when requested.
• Carry out site inspections of works in progress when required. Arrange and minute regular meetings with property compliance, facilities management and cyclical maintenance contractors either as specified in individual contracts, or on good practice grounds agreed with the Director of Property and Asset Management.

The role:
This role will provide vital support to the foundation’s assessment and management of funding applications, grants, and programme development. The Funding Officer will manage the key administrative functions for the team, as well as a broad portfolio of grants and funding relationships, ensuring strong engagement with partners throughout their funding journey. A key part of the role will involve gathering learning from funded work through reviewing reports, calls, and visits, and feeding this learning into the wider CCC strategy.

Working closely with senior members of the team, the postholder will assess new funding applications, draft recommendations, and contribute to CCC’s strategic development, such as research, convening events, and visits. The person:
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, analytical, and curious, with an interest in one or more of the CCC focus areas. What matters most is a strong interest in the work of charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups, and an ability to understand the challenges they face.

You will be confident managing and interpreting complex information, including financial data and project plans, and able to communicate your findings clearly both in writing and verbally. About the Role

The Queen’s Reading Room is funded entirely by grants, donations, sponsorship and income from events. We’re looking for a vibrant and well-connected individual to join the small but agile team, to lead this function within the charity and design and set up a fundraising committee. You will build on a strong base of income generation and work to sustain and expand it.

You will be responsible for building the fundraising strategy with the charity’s CEO and Board of Trustees; for identifying appropriate opportunities to generate funding in the UK and internationally; and for the targets agreed by the CEO and board. You will be comfortable with, and have experience in, the world of high profile and high net-worth individuals, legacy fundraising, fundraising and friendraising events. You will know how to build relationships with individual donor prospects along with charitable trusts, foundations and other institutional funders. Your role will include devising and creating fundraising events; securing sponsorship for events and festivals; contributing to the writing and submitting of funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations; and advising and providing suitable copy for fundraising marketing and digital materials. Group Financial Controller | London | Permanent | £97,166 - £109,699 + Benefits

For a complex global organisation undergoing significant change and transformation, we are recruiting a permanent Group Financial Controller. This role will lead all global financial accounting and statutory reporting. It will support the CFO and Global FD in the leadership and management of all financial accounting, including corporate statutory reporting across the Charity group and 40+ subsidiaries, month-end close and financial compliance, consolidation and balance sheet reporting, audit, short-term cash flow forecasting and working capital management including inter-company. Leading a large multi-disciplined team via 6 direct reports, the Group Financial Controller will also manage the performance of the offshore Managed Service Provider and SAP finance processes.

Main Duties:

• As part of the Finance Leadership Team, direct and manage finance staff globally
• Lead the improvement of the quality of the financial close processes in SAP and the accuracy of data
• Lead and deliver monthly reporting and insight on balance sheet for inclusion in MI
• Lead delivery of embedding and improving a new weekly 13-week cash-flow forecasts model
• Lead improvements to cash forecasting at entity level to the direct method short term 13-week cash flow forecast
• Lead and deliver year-end reporting process in accordance with UK GAAP and Charities SORP
• Coordinate preparation and audit of statutory accounts for all entities globally
• Ensure financial policy framework is robust and clears all accounting and reporting standards
• Oversee establishing of new subsidiaries, branches and legal entities globally, working with global colleagues across Tax and Legal
• Work with the shared services offshore MSP (TCS) and Head of Global Processes to ensure continuous improvement of delivery
• Work with the Director of FP&A to ensure framework is robust to meet all monthly MI and statutory reporting
• Act as key change agent for all finance change projects
• Develop the Group and Global Finance Team, and ensure duplication of activities across the SSC, regions and countries are reduced

Person Specification:

• CCAB Qualified with experience working in complex global companies
• UK GAAP and statutory reporting both local and group
• Group consolidations
• Substantial experience of delivering large-scale change
• Previous experience of leading multi-location finance teams
• Management of short-term cash-flow models and forecasting
• Strong intercompany experience and experience of big data
• Experience of leading a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team
• SAP experience
• Shared Services experience
• Treasury Operations and Direct and Indirect Tax experience would be desirable

The role

Continuing to increase the number of Admiral Nurses remains at the heart of our new strategy, and the Director of Finance will be pivotal in ensuring this growth is sustainable, strategic, and impactful.

About you

• Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) 

• A proven track record of shaping financial strategy in a growing or complex organisation, ideally within the Charity sector 

• Evidence of influencing and partnering at Board and Executive level 

• Experience of leading high-performing teams and developing senior leaders 

• A collaborative, values-driven approach, with a strong commitment to Dementia UK’s vision, mission and values.

You’ll also support outreach activities and events, helping build strong relationships and partnerships that further our mission to inspire people to connect with the wonder of urban wildlife.

This is a part time role (15 hours per week) and flexible working arrangements will be considered and discussed at interview. There may be some evening and weekend commitments for which TOIL is given.

Full Time Salary: £30,000 per annum, pro rata. Other benefits include 22 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays and a Christmas closure period, and 3% employer pension contribution.
