FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups.

Main purpose of the role

We have a dynamic Fundraising team and over the last three years we have seen an incredible growth across established income streams and creation of new exciting income streams. At the same time, the organisation is passionate and committed to increasing our activities so that more food can reach the 8,500 charities and community groups nationwide. To meet this ambition, we are looking to recruit a talented and experienced fundraiser as our Corporate Partnerships Officer who is able to jump straight in to help deliver our Corporate Fundraising strategy.

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Partnerships Officer that wants to maximise fundraising opportunities with existing partners through excellent account management and also enjoys new business and converting leads to new partnerships. This role will be split with 60% of your time allocated to Account Management and 40% to New Business.  

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of managing and growing fundraising partnerships, as well as experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities, contribute to a prospect pipeline and meet deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
• Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
• Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
• Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.
• Maintain robust account growth plans, update pipelines and stakeholder mapping for your partners.
• Produce high quality communications, reports, propositions and pitches for partnerships - delivering excellent account management through the highest levels of supporter centred stewardship.
• Ensure we maximise the skills and experience of corporate partners through pro-bono, value-in-kind and volunteering support.

New Business

• Proactively approaching corporate opportunities following our new business strategy, writing funding proposals and approaching community groups for new partnerships
• Responding to volunteer enquiries from companies who want to work with FareShare and converting enquiries to new business leads when viable
• Contribute to the fundraising team new business pipeline
• Maintaining accurate cultivation plans and reporting for new business approaches
• Working with the FareShare food, volunteering and marketing teams to identify new fundraising opportunities 

Communication and Administration

• Develop PR and communication plans for corporate partners, working in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage the general administration and accurate data management for your partners.
• Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
• Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.
• Contribute to the wider success of the fundraising team through supporting colleagues, celebrating successes and sharing learnings.
• Efficient and effective management of income ensuring compliance with GDPR, charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy
• With support from colleagues manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements

• Work within legal and charity guidelines 
• Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines 
• Represent Fundraising where required on internal working groups 
• Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role

Person Specification

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.

The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Our Helpline runs from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, warm and experienced individual to support our dedicated Helpline Volunteers and Befriending Volunteers within the Helpline team.

This role requires working flexible hours, including 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm or 11am–7pm between Monday to Friday to meet services and volunteer needs (3 days a week).

We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer with at least two years of relevant experience, who will be able to contribute to our new VCS Capacity Building contract.

Having a good level of experience in producing and designing communications content, excellent copy writing skills with the ability to create clear and compelling content, excellent attention to detail and a strong track record in developing communications which stand out and increase both engagement and awareness.

The role

MIND in Haringey and its partner Public Voice delivers the Voluntary and Community (VCS) Capacity Building contract commissioned by the London Borough of Haringey. The contract, which runs from May 2024 to April 2027 can be extended for a further four years at the discretion of the Client. The Contract includes the administration and management of the Volunteer Centre and the development and promotion of a Navigation Network (NavNet) knowledge sharing platform, META Workplace.

The Community Collaborative team will be located across different sectors of the Borough employed by either MIND in Haringey or Public Voice who make up the consortium partners. Day-to-day management of the Community Collaborative service is the responsibility of the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager.

We are working with the South West London Integrated Care Board (our local health authority including) local GPs to deliver an exciting new service within East Merton (Pollards Hill and Phipps Bridge Estates).

The Community Health and Wellbeing Worker will speak to households about health and wellbeing, alongside offering support to connect people to services and activities in their local community.

We are looking for the right people who can empower residents to take control of their lives. This will involve working with residents in their homes who may be experiencing a number of issues, so you will need outstanding listening and communication skills, empathy, problem solving and enthusiasm. You will need excellent organisational skills, be adept at seeking out information for relevant community services and have the tenacity to help people achieve sustainable improvements in their wellbeing.

Main duties include:

· Managing a caseload of households.

Position: Training and Education Lead: Parental Cover (8 months)

About the role:

This role is for an events person who can support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.

The role holder will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.

Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet the agreed requirements and budget, liaising with the DPD as required.
• Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.
• Working with the volunteers, external suppliers and DPD, ensure all requirements are clearly defined, appropriate and in place for the course to be delivered.
• Liaise with suppliers and contributors to deliver and sign off the online activity.
• Work with the DPD and others to identify potential speakers.
• Support the DPD to negotiate and agree contracts with speakers.
• Work with clients and speakers to agree on delivery dates.
• Process bookings via iMIS, including sending confirmations to delegates.
• Respond to queries from potential delegates and their employers.
• Support current delegates with queries on their programme and progress.
• Work with the DPD and Financial Controller to put together the draft budget for specific events, bursary scheme, or online development activities.
• Supply up-to-date information on the bursary holder’s progress and course uptake to inform budgetary, marketing, and other management decisions.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face to face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery. To be successful at the organisation, you will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.

You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:

• A qualification or experience in event management including online and bespoke courses.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent oral and written English.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.

• Basic financial awareness and understanding for example working to a budget and controlling costs.
• General IT skills including MS Office (e.g. Word mail merges and Excel reporting).
• An aptitude to learn new software/portals and experience with customer databases such as iMIS, webinars and eLearning platforms will be an advantage.

This is a varied role with a significant focus on events and project management, including special events, as well as engagement activities to raise awareness of career opportunities in the industry. This role will also involve working with specialist education providers to support the provision of industry specific education and training.

A successful applicant will have demonstratable experience of organising and delivering large scale events, timely and cost-effective project management and financial reporting. You will be able to work independently and with a high level of attention to detail and used to prioritising a complex workload. Experience of working in the sector or in a previous educational role is not required.

Job Purpose

• To be the focal point for implementing all Education and Training activity within the Company, and to report back to the Education and Training Committee to maximise its reach and effectiveness.
• To implement several large-scale national events engaging young people, industry and specialist education providers.
• Oversee and steer the activity around a new website to engage young people with possible careers in the industry, ensuring growing engagement with young people and job posters.
• To administer and deliver several small grant programmes which support furniture and furniture students or those working with said students.
• To support and report quarterly to the Education and Training Committee.

Key Responsibilities

Events

• Young Furniture Makers Exhibition - To plan, organise and deliver the annual one-day exhibition showcasing the best new talent to industry. Securing event sponsorship and working with sponsors during the organisation process to ensure positive relationships. Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
• Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
• Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
• Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
• Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.
• Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of Education and Training events.

Grants

• Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.
• Manage a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition.

Website

• Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
• To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
• Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
• Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
• Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.

Reporting

• Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
• Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
• Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee. 
• Assist with any ad hoc administration as necessary related to the FIESTA Committee.

Miscellaneous

• Assisting the Education and Training Committee Chair with any administration in regard to the Masters Certificate Scheme.
• Send quarterly feedback surveys mentoring participants and collect the data for reporting purposes.
• Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to promote Education and Training events.
• Keep the Education and Training budget up to date and process all invoices in a timely manner.
• Report back to all event sponsors after any Education and Training sponsored event to keep sponsors updated and aware of the events successes.

The Service:

The service facilitates peer support and delivery of monthly workshops and drop- ins. The service will provide first-class, person-centred information, advice and guidance to people with learning disabilities through both one-to-one and group support.

The Role:

You will provide relevant and accurate information, support, guidance and signposting including both one-to-one and group support for people with complex issues. Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. You will act in a key working capacity where necessary, ensuring services are joined up and holistic, provide advocacy and attend case management meetings as required.

About this job

Please note this is a part-time role 3 days/or 21 hours per week (Fridays must be worked but the other 2 days per week are flexible). The role is initially for an 18 months fixed term contract.

As a key member of our Services and Support team, you’ll be working with MS Society volunteer groups that provide transport services to their members and/or own property. You’ll also be supporting members of the Customer Services team to help them fulfill their health and safety responsibilities within each of the MS Society’s offices. This role includes travel across the UK to provide support and/ or training as required.

You’ll be working with our external auditors to manage the audit process, monitor and record compliance with the ‘MS Society Health and Safety risk management framework’ on property and transport and ensure materials in the framework are consistently and effectively used.

We’re looking for the successful candidate to have:

• A NEBOSH National General Certificate
• Trained Display Screen Assessment Assessor
• Be a Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
• Experience of working with in house Health and Safety systems that cover risk areas associated with a volunteer group network.

• An in-depth up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and practices, particularly as these relate to the voluntary sector.
• Experience of transport for people of all abilities run by the voluntary sector with a working knowledge of the related legislation.
