The role

As the motion design producer at Breast Cancer Now, you’ll play a key role in helping bring our work to life.

You’ll be creating high quality, engaging content about our life-changing research, campaigning, fundraising, services and health information. And you’ll be part of the multimedia team, where we produce video, photography, motion design and audio that help strengthen our brand and tell our story.

Reporting to the senior multimedia manager, you’ll be producing motion design projects that cover all aspects of the organisation. This includes producing multiple small and large-scale motion projects throughout the year to support major campaigns and projects. Experience of producing long and short-form content with an eye towards social trends is also desirable.

The role may require some work on larger video and photography projects throughout the year to support the wider team, so any skills in video production, video editing or photography would be an advantage.

About you

You’ll have a keen interest in all things motion design and have a good portfolio of work to show this. You’ll be hard-working and highly motivated, with a flexible approach to your work. And you’ll be used to working in a busy team environment and able to work on your own initiative.

Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll be working with teams across the charity, supporters and people affected by breast cancer. 

You must have considerable experience using adobe creative suite, particularly after effects, illustrator, photoshop and premiere. Any knowledge of blender or other 3D software would also be welcome.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

This role is primarily based in our London office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

About the Role

As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.

The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.

The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.

Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.

The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.

This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.

YMCA DownsLink Group is looking for a Building Surveyor to join the Asset Management team. This is a new role in our structure, playing a key part in delivering capital investment programme in line with the business plan – whilst working closely with other members of the team to ensure we maintain compliance and maintenance. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to make this role their own.

As part of the Asset Management team restructure, we have identified a need for a Building Surveyor to assist the Head of Asset Management to deliver Capital Investment programme. By bringing these skills in house, it is hoped to create a more dynamic role with the benefit of ability to oversee upcoming works and provide additional resources to areas we need additional expertise such as dilapidations, disrepair, HHSRS and damp and mould.

You will be involved in the specification writing process (unless specialist consultancy is required) and lead the procurement to ensure we are OJEU compliant in our appointment of the appropriate contractor. You will lead on the delivery of capital investment programme, ensuring planned works are appropriately procured to ensure value for money and adequately experienced/qualified contractors deliver works. You will also undertake and maintain stock condition surveys, undertake building surveys to complete dilapidations, complex repair scoping of works (and specification writing – where appropriate), disrepair, damp and mould inspections (more complex cases) and provision of technical expertise in absence of Head of Asset Management. In addition, you will support colleagues across the business to empower them to confidently make low level decisions themselves.

We’re looking for a part-time Senior Operations Manager with extensive operational, business, Health & Safety, IT and HR experience. A member of the Senior Management Team, this person will play a vital role in enabling Time & Talents to deliver our strategy, maintain best practice and develop robust long-term plans.

What we do

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.

T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure  programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.

The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation

The post-holder will work to empower and support children to make positive choices.

To establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge accommodation.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours service on a rota basis.

With responsibility for the day-to-day scheduling of our social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube – you will be the eyes and ears of the charity for all things social.

• Acting as the main point of contact for entrepreneurs on a cohort, ensuring they all have the information they need to get the most out of programmes

Programme delivery and support

• Ensuring that workshops, events, and sessions run smoothly and deliver a great experience for everyone involved

• Producing materials to support founders’ learning, including PDFs, slides, and spreadsheets

Working with external freelancers and volunteers

• Briefing and training skilled volunteers, experts and facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery of support sessions
• Coordinating 1:1 support for founders with skilled volunteers/experts on the programmes

YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.

We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones. 

This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.
