About you:
The Creative and Content Officer is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Marketing and Communication Team.
You will develop and create impactful content across a wide range of formats, managing production workflow, and supporting our brand work.
You will help deliver projects using your skills and those of external partners in the production of content such as design artwork, social graphics and copy. You will also support in the project management of creative projects.

Job purpose

Maintain and update content across Iswe dot org, globalassemblies dot org and assemblis dot org through CMS, including Craft and Squarespace.

Develop and optimise user journeys, onboarding flows and email automations based on audience insight.

Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Brand Manager to lead on our brand marketing campaigns and drive forwards new brand reach initiatives.
Working within the RSPB’s brand team you will help bring our brand to life, shift perceptions, and build brand affinity amongst new and existing audiences by planning and delivering impactful brand campaigns. and working closely with the fundraising and campaigning teams on their activities.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development and review of insight-led brand marketing campaigns
- With the Head of Brand, deliver brand reach initiatives to grow the RSPB’s top of funnel metrics. From early discovery through to delivery and measurement, always leading the delivery phase and marketing planning specifically.
- Brand Business Partner for teams driving strategic and high reach marcomms activities e.g. Supporter Fundraising, Commercial, Campaigns & Mobilisation and Brand & Marketing - providing brand consultancy to ensure the brand is well executed in external campaigns and comms to build brand equity.
- Share insight on brand health and brand related business metrics through collaboration with the Head of Market Research & Insight. Identify actions arising from the insight and set strategic direction with support from Head of Brand where necessary.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of developing multi-channel campaigns rooted in audience insight.
- Experienced in brand tracking and measurement, and using it to shape marketing and communications plans.
- Expertise in brand strategy and positioning
- Experience leading marketing projects and new initiatives.
- Curious and collaborative, the role holder will be skilled at influencing across the organisation, proactively identifying opportunities to improve outcomes by providing support and challenge through insight and evidence.

Direct Marketing Acquisition Manager (Direct Response)
You will develop and oversee a specialist area of direct response marketing, taking responsibility for paid media activity resulting in giving and prize-led support, and the associated programme and products. You will ensure the highest standard of quality and compliance, across a diverse programme mix. You’ll manage significant income and expenditure budgets and deliver exceptional fundraising campaigns to drive an ambitious growth plan, accelerating progress towards a cure.

Programme and campaign management

· Agency relationship management across a variety of partners and suppliers, from building relationships and negotiating, to contract and routine performance reviews.
· Working closely with the Supporter Care and Data teams to ensure the acquisition activity and processes are well understood and that they can support the team as best possible.
Budget management and reporting
· Annual budgeting of direct marketing programmes and campaigns.
· Regular forecasting in line with the annual cycle, making recommendations around budget allocation and managing expectations throughout.
· KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels.
· Regular financial performance reporting.
· Programme optimisation to ensure contribution targets are met and contingency planning as required.
· Detailed reporting geared towards a longer-term view of performance, covering long-term & ROI modelling, lifetime value and considering supporter experience and engagement.
What we are looking for:
· Budget management experience – preferably across expenditure and income
· Campaign management – specifically direct marketing campaigns
· Media planning experience – across a range of media types
· Agency management – including creative and professional acquisition fundraising agencies as well as others such as printers and market researchers
· Demonstrable people management experience
· Ability to understand complex data sets and compile meaningful reports and analysis
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strategic and critical thinking
· Getting the best out of people and agencies
· Understanding of compliance in direct marketing
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.
