We are looking for an enthusiatic and creative Mid-Level Graphic Designer. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that align with CCX's mission and branding guidelines. Working within our hybrid management model, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions for various projects and initiatives.

Your designs will play a crucial role in effectively communicating our message and equipping leaders within the Church for discipleship in new and renewed ways.

Duties and Accountabilities

● Designing print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, website assets, course material and other promotional materials.

● Collaborating with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives, and translating them into visually engaging designs.

● Maintaining and adhering to CCX's brand guidelines across all design work, ensuring consistency and alignment with our mission and values.

● Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative ideas and concepts to enhance project outcomes.

● Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

● Incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve design deliverables.

● Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in graphic design.

This is a part-time role.

There is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian under Part 1, Chapter 2, section 10 of the Equality Act 2010 

Today, 12 children and young people will be diagnosed with cancer. We’ll stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.

Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their futures feel very uncertain. They need tailored psychosocial support and they need to know that their voices and unique needs are being heard and understood.

About the role

This new role within the newly formed Brand and Marketing Communications team will play a key role in our in-house creative studio, creating engaging and inspiring content. The successful candidate will develop creative concepts and bring them to life through innovative and inclusive design across multiple channels.

You will join our growing Brand and Marketing Communications team and work collaboratively with our in-house brand and digital teams as well as the wider organisation.

Most importantly you’ll champion our work and raise the voices of children, young people and their families living with cancer to ensure they get the support they need.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.

The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role).  Key responsibilities

 Communications Strategy

• Lead the development and socialisation of an effective organisational communications strategy and implementation plan

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 Essential requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or experience preferably in media, journalism, science health or humanitarian communications, digital production, marketing or public relations
• Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing successful communication and digital strategies
• Demonstrable experience of planning, creating and publishing engaging content across digital channels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt technical and scientific information for a range of audiences
• Experience in website project management and implementation
• Excellent team-working skills and ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
• Proficient in SEO, Google Analytics, content marketing and digital marketing strategies
• Experience in web content writing and management, web design and database management

 Terms and Conditions

Type of contract: Permanent

• Location: Office-based, with the opportunity to work from home 1 – 2 days a week. ENN’s office is in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
• Holidays: 25 days plus UK Public Holidays, increasing by one day per annum after two complete years of service to a maximum of 27 days per annum. Pro-rata for part-time staff.
• Pension: Auto-Enrolment to ENN scheme with a generous Employer contribution of 5%
• Salary: £39,000 per annum, full-time equivalent, dependent on experience and suitability for the role

You’ll research global topics and consider the best angles and innovative activities to produce a lesson every week. These lessons will build children’s essential skills and knowledge about the news through discussion-based activities. The activities will be inventive and varied and beyond your “usual” lesson planning. For example, they might involve students using QR codes to engage with unique multimedia content, a class debate in the style of a courtroom, or a bespoke game with prizes and challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create Topical Talk classroom resources for children (60%)

● Research and pitch lesson plans that cover the most important facts, arguments, perspectives and questions

● Write, edit and proofread teaching resources. Your core responsibility will be to create a weekly, 1-hour “Headlines” lesson

● Collaborate with journalists at The Economist to ensure all work is of the highest quality

● Work with our Graphic Designer on the look and feel of the content

● Manage diaries, build rapport and communicate effectively to ensure deadlines are met

● Seek out and conduct interviews with topic experts

Design resources for one-off current affairs workshops/events for children (20%)

● Create one-off student workshops and events, from the idea-generation stage to writing, proofreading, delivery and evaluation

● Create lesson and website content for the annual Topical Talk Festival, where students join online discussions about the news

Teach lessons, facilitate student discussions and train teachers (20%)

The opportunity

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an Event Manager to join our Development Events Team on a fixed term basis, covering a period of maternity leave. 

Supported by an Events Officer, you will lead on the end-to-end planning and delivery of key events to support UAL’s first major fundraising campaign, launching this Autumn. Recently this has included a programme of bespoke cultivation events such as exhibition tours and Meet The Artist discussions, and annual flagship stewardship events such as the Scholars’ Celebration. 

You will have the opportunity to help shape our future programming, working closely with the Head of Events to design creative and engaging events that expand our networks, delivering UAL’s strategic priorities and reflecting our world-leading credentials.

More broadly, you will be an advocate for best practice in event management at UAL, advising colleagues across the University as required. In this capacity, the team has recently taken on the project management of UAL’s Graduation ceremonies and all-staff Summer Party, the latter of which will be led by the Event Manager.

This is an important role for a creative individual with experience of delivering cultivation and stewardship events for donor audiences.

Summary of the role and key purpose 

We’re looking for a Communications Coordinator to play a key role in supporting, delivering and monitoring RABI's communications and marketing activities. Working as part of RABI's growing communications team, the Communications Coordinator will take an active role in both communications and marketing across the organisation, providing support in areas including internal comms, social media, website development, email marketing, brand usage, advertising, media relations, public affairs, reporting and finance. 

With support and oversight from the Communications Manager, this is an exciting role for a comms and marketing professional looking to further develop a wide range of communication skills and be part of a vibrant and ambitious communications team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop content for various RABI communication channels including newsletters, intranet and website.
• Assist the Communications Manager in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts.
• Support with the production of RABI News including collating content, proofreading and managing all mailing lists, both digital and postal. 
• Help to create visually appealing and shareable content for RABI’s social media platforms.
• Support the Digital Communications Manager with monitoring RABI’s social media channels.
• Assist in the development and delivery of internal communication materials and announcements.
• Work closely with the Communications Manager, the Finance department and Senior Leadership Team to plan and generate content for the Trustee Annual Report.
• Assist the Multimedia Producer with photography and filming projects where required.
• Support the Digital Communications Manager with website updates including events and job adverts.
• Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency, ensuring all staff understand the brand guidelines and offering support where needed.
• Act as the first point of reference for internal and external parties regarding the use of the RABI logo and brand. This will include management of the Brand Usage Register, answering queries and managing the brand usage agreement process.
• Provide internal staff with support and training in the use of the RABI brand.
• Assisting in communications campaign evaluations and wash-ups.
• Proof partner materials to ensure information is accurate and on brand.
• Liaise with the Finance department to raise purchase orders for suppliers.
• Manage the relationship with external suppliers including photographers, designers, web agencies and printers.
• Support with in-house requests for name badges, business cards, branded office collateral and translations.

Key Relationships:

Internal: Communications team and other relevant departments including Partnerships, Fundraising, Volunteering, Service Delivery, Finance and Operations.

External: External service providers, partners, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector, corporate environment and public affairs arena.

 

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven experience in communications or a related role.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Design experience in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience of using SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft Planner.
• Experience in event coordination and media relations.
• Previous experience in a charitable or nonprofit organisation.
• Knowledge of the agricultural sector and farming communities.

The Role 
 
As our Communications Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a wide range of communications that contribute to increased brand awareness of the charity, demonstrate the charity’s expertise and impact, educate the public about cancer prevention, signs, symptoms and screening and support the generation of income for the charity. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Plan, research, create and distribute creative media content, including press releases, blog posts, case studies and videos, to support research, services, cancer insight, fundraising, events, retail, corporate partnerships and campaigns. 

• Proactively seek, identify and engage in media opportunities, such as attending events, organising photo opportunities and meeting face-to-face with case studies.

• Manage third-party suppliers such as photographers and film production agencies, obtaining quotes, providing clear briefings and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

• Respond to press enquiries efficiently and to a high standard. Understand which media enquiries are appropriate for the charity’s brand and key messages and those which are not, so that the charity prioritises only those which are value-adding. 

• Organise TV, radio and press interview opportunities for the Chief Executive, Directors and Heads of. Prepare clear briefings for interviewees. 

• Demonstrate and convey professionalism at all times and represent the charity when communicating with the media, members of the public, volunteers and supporters to demonstrate the charity’s core values.

• Monitor and evaluate the charity’s media coverage and the digital impact of PR content, providing a monthly media clippings report. 

• Provide PR input to the charity’s Leadership Team, Board reports and performance dashboards. 

• Maintain continuous awareness of industry news and regularly update colleagues on key developments. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be educated to a degree or equivalent level of education or have relevant experience in a similar role at a similar level. 

• Previous media experience, whether through journalism or a PR / in house media assistant role. 

• Experience in building relationships with colleagues and journalists and managing media opportunities such as interviews, broadcast opportunities and photocalls. 

• An ability to write compelling copy for multiple audiences, and media channels, often translating complicated information into a format that is easily understood by readers. 

• An agile media mind, able to spot the key storyline that will maximise the possibility of media coverage and attract the attention of the media. 

• An evaluative mindset, supporting continual improvement by analysing coverage and associated data from media activity. 

• An ability to keep a calm head when faced with a reactive media situation in a manner that best protects the reputation of the charity 

• A thoughtful and empathetic outlook, able to engage with people affected by cancer with sensitivity and respect.

This post will work closely with the Director of Participation, producing all shows which originate from the Participation team, setting up and managing participation projects and working closely with young people and community groups.

There is also an opportunity to instigate and creatively lead on participation projects.

The Participation Producer will manage the Participation Coordinator and the Participation Assistant, as well as any work placements and freelancers. They will manage show and project budgets and contribute to the writing of funding applications and evaluation reports.
