An exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF); the UK’s leading cancer prevention charity focusing on the link between cancer and risk factors such as diet, body weight and physical activity.
We are seeking an outstanding corporate fundraising professional to join our Fundraising Development team. This is a key role for the organisation, proactively leading on new business; delivering mid and high-value partnerships and maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of new prospects to support the long-term sustainability of our work. The successful candidate will develop compelling proposals and pitches to build new relationships and provide excellent stewardship for existing corporate partners. They will manage and deliver the Corporate Partnerships strategy, annual operational plan, and income forecasting and develop accurate annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against plan and setting KPIs and targets.
We are looking for an individual able to demonstrate a significant track record of success in achieving and exceeding set income targets in corporate fundraising as well as developing and delivering a corporate fundraising strategy, annual budgets, and delivery plans. Excellent written and creative skills, with experience in developing engaging proposals and applications for funding is crucial as is the ability to organise, prioritise, and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. Strong networking skills with the ability to manage high-profile relationships professionally and tactfully are essential.

About the role
You’ll be joining the partnerships team, which is a key role within the fundraising department and part of our wider Income Generation directorate. You will have a minimum of three years account management experience gained in charity corporate partnerships or a relevant account management role, as well as a proven track record of cultivating, securing and successfully managing corporate relationships. You are a natural strong communicator, with the ability to build effective and long-term relationships both internally and externally. You'll have proven experience of inspiring and motivating supporters and developing partners enabling them to maximise all income generating activities in the area and deliver impressive results. The Nordoff and Robbins partnerships portfolio is going from strength to strength, and we have created this new role to truly accelerate our partnerships offering and meet ambitious fundraising targets as part of our new 5-year strategy

The Role
What will I be doing?
- Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales
- Working with colleagues from across the organisation, particularly those in the Membership and National teams to support member led or member involved approaches to public engagement, with members supported and enabled to deliver appropriate activities that impactfully contribute to the IOP’s strategic goals.
- Support the development of public engagement content that demonstrates the value of physics and its applications to our lives and the full range of career and education pathways that can be accessed through doing physics
- Support the evaluation of Public Engagement Events to ensure the ongoing improvement pf our programme
Please note that this role will require significant travel around the UK and Ireland to deliver its remit. We particularly welcome applications from outside London and the South East of England with this in mind.
Projects you work on may include:
- Managing events and activities across the UK and Ireland that connect families with physics
- Developing new, novel and exciting resources that convey the relevance of physics to our daily lives
- Supporting IOP Members and physicists more broadly to be relatable role models for young people and to tell their stories in engaging ways

- Working closely with the other members of the Public Engagement team to deliver a vibrant annual programme

- A proven track record of delivering excellence in public engagement with science and physics in particular, particularly with families
- Experience in working with volunteers and those from across the science community to deliver public engagement
- Skill in translating complex physics topics into family-friendly activities
- Experience of engaging with diverse communities, especially those currently under-represented in physics
- A degree in physics/science related/astronomy

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

Lead the corporate fundraising programme at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications, Director of Development, and Brand & Marketing Manager.

Deliver an ambitious corporate partnerships strategy that supports both regional (aligned with Roald Dahl Nurse locations) and national growth.

Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the Fundraising and Communications team, supporting the charity’s broader income and engagement goals.

Provide leadership and direction to the Corporate Fundraising Executive
Corporate Partnership Development

Identify, research, package and secure high-value corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, and employee fundraising opportunities.

Proactively grow and manage the new business pipeline, forecasting income and tracking likelihood of success, ensuring alignment with agreed income targets.

Build creative, compelling cases for support and deliver inspirational, tailored pitches and proposals to senior corporate audiences.

Horizon scan to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging sectors, working closely with the Programmes Team to align fundraising opportunities with service delivery and impact.
Account Management & Stewardship

Deliver high-quality relationship management for all existing corporate partners, ensuring clear communication, excellent stewardship, and sustained engagement, with support from the Director of Fundraising & Communications, CEO and other senior staff as needed.

Create and implement bespoke fundraising plans and incentives to support multi-year, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Prepare engaging, tailored assets and communications including proposals, presentations, impact reports and updates for corporate supporters.

Performance & Financial Management

Track, analyse and report on income, ROI, and engagement across all corporate partnerships.

Manage the corporate fundraising income and expenditure, reporting performance against forecasts.

Maintain oversight of all contractual agreements and partnership terms for corporate partnerships and cause-related marketing.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Support

Work collaboratively across the Fundraising and Communications team to deliver a calendar of corporate fundraising events, campaigns, and activity.

Contribute content and stories to the charity’s website, newsletter, annual review, and other external communications.

Ensure strong collaboration with the Programmes Team to develop impactful narratives.

Support the maintenance of accurate records on Beacon, ensuring all corporate fundraising activity is logged in our CRM system.

Working arrangements

About the role
Reporting in to the Business Development Lead (MCC), the role of Business Development Manager for the LAC region is a key role is being responsible for securing new funding aligned to Christian Aid's strategy and thematic priorities.
The role will lead business development efforts across the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and expand the Institutional funding portfolio and collaborate closely with and strategically advise MCC Head of Impact and Partnership & Impact Funding (PIF) team and MCC teams to develop donor engagement strategies, build funding pipelines, identify new opportunities, and establish partnerships to grow program portfolios.
The post-holder will strengthen and maintain relationships with government agencies, multilateral organisations, institutional donors, and foundations, working in coordination with MCC Programme Portfolio and Partnership teams.
Some of the main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role are:
- Meet institutional Christian Aid income targets at the MCC level, actively contributing to PIF overall divisional goals.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Impact and Partnership Business Development teams on strategic funding to secure new and grow existing funding by developing donor engagement strategies, growing funding pipelines, identifying new opportunities and establishing partnerships to grow program portfolios.
- Build and cultivate strategic partnerships with institutional donors, including government bodies, multilateral agencies, and foundations, to expand funding opportunities across the MCC and beyond, in coordination with the Partnership and Business Development team in PIF.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Finance and Administration Manager to lead on developing and maintaining our financial and organisational systems, enabling Makani to increase our impact on the lives of refugee women.
