If you are a fundraising professional and love dance and the arts, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Déda as freelance Trusts and Foundations fundraiser.
The purpose of this role is to kick start our fundraising ambitions after a period of inactivity and the completion of long-term support from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Garfield Weston. If you are a fundraiser with an excellent track record with these grant givers we would like to hear from you. Expected outputs:
- Research and develop a pipeline of potential new funding sources whose criteria match our aims and activities and prepare and submit applications (with an emphasis on larger, multi-year grants)
- Assess existing and new funding needs and prepare an action plan, with targets and timelines, for approaches across the next six to 12 months.
- Develop approaches and applications for already-identified potential funding sources.
- Help manage reporting and relationship engagement requirements.
- Keep databases and other internal information sources up to date.
Experience and skills required:
- Success in securing five and six figure multi-year grants and donations from trusts and foundations, particularly grants that cover core activities.
- Ability to absorb information quickly, know what information is needed, and how best to present it in interesting and engaging content.
- Good working knowledge of preparing fundraising and proposal budgets.
- Confidence and ability to communicate with donors and potential supporters with passion and expertise.
- A creative and affective approach with attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Honesty and integrity.

About the role
At Animals Asia, donors are an integral part of the organisation. We know they are every bit as passionate about our goals as we are and, without them, our work would not be possible.
The Foundations team sits within the Global Partnerships team, made up of Foundations, Philanthropy, and Corporate partnerships. Our aim is to find and build relationships with new partners who can make a significant difference to Animals Asia, while also managing relationships with existing partners. Working closely with the Trust or Foundation to align motivations and help them see how their money is being spent and reporting back on the impact of their donation.There is significant scope for growth with the Global Partnerships Team as Animals Asia enjoys increasing brand awareness.
The main purpose of this role is to support the work of Animals Asia by developing strong relationships, cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and grant giving bodies in order to meet and exceed agreed income targets. Your portfolio will be global, consisting of donors from around the world, therefore knowledge of international fundraising from foundations is an advantage.
You will build and maintain existing relationships, providing exceptional donor experience, while focusing on new business research and growing your portfolio of 5 and 6 figure donors.
Overall Objectives
- To deliver the Foundation strategy.
- To research and acquire new trust and foundation partners.
- To build relationships - engaging, cultivating, and stewarding a portfolio of existing and new trust and foundation partners, providing effective and timely relationship management, including comprehensive grant reporting.

Relationship Management and Donor Stewardship
- Build trusting relationships and implement the highest standards of donor stewardship to manage a portfolio of qualified prospective and existing partners.
- Cultivating and soliciting a portfolio of high-value prospective trusts and foundations capable of making 5 and 6 figure donations.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Global Partnership team to find engaging, exciting funding propositions including solutions to generate unrestricted income and multi-year gifts.
- Find innovative and ‘surprise and delight’ opportunities to engage supporters.
- Create engaging and meaningful communications to keep donors well informed on the progress and impact of projects.
- Implement personalised relationship building and stewardship plans that include regular phone calls, and in-person and virtual meetings.

Prospecting and Research
- Significantly grow your portfolio by identifying, researching, and qualifying new 5-figure + prospects:

Solicitation
- Develop stewardship plans for current, lapsed, and prospective donors in your Portfolio.
- Maintain cultivation and stewardship plans on the CRM and a calendar of approaches, for both existing and qualified prospects.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the Trusts and Foundations team to capture project information and prepare high-quality proposals.

Fundraising strategy and planning

Reporting and Budgets

Main Purpose of Post
This role manages organisational marketing and supports income generation. The main purpose of the post is to create marketing strategies and marketing communications to promote Women’s Aid’s products and services to its target audiences. The Marketing Manager will create and implement a new marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of WA profile. Understanding the needs of the charity, you will be responsible in identifying marketing plans and initiatives which will enable WA to meet both the long and short- term needs. Summary of Terms and Conditions of Employment
Terms of appointment: Confirmation of appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period. This will normally be of six months (less for short term contracts). During this time an employee will be expected to establish their suitability for the post. During the probationary period employment may be terminated in writing, giving one week's notice by either party (this may be waived by mutual agreement). Only any statutory dismissal procedure will apply during the probationary period. There is no probationary period for contracts of under 3 months.
All posts are subject to a DBS check, two suitable references and right to work checks.
Salary: £42,750 pro rata + benefits. Salary is paid in arrears through bank credit by the 25th of each month. Part time staff receive pro-rata payment based on hours worked.
Working hours: The standard working hours for this post are 37hours per week, based in London/Bristol/Remote UK based; benefits include a generous bank holidays and annual leave package and contributory pension scheme. All posts, including remote posts must be based in the UK.
Support and supervision: Women’s Aid has a commitment to providing regular supervision and support to staff with annual appraisals forming a key part of staff development. We have a training policy in place and encourage staff to take an active role in their career development plan.
Pension: Women’s Aid is enrolled with the People’s Pension scheme. Women’s Aid normally contributes 7% of salary and the employee contributes 3% towards the group pension scheme. Eligible staff will be automatically enrolled on the scheme when they have successfully completed the 3-month interim probationary review.
Annual Leave: Women’s Aid offers an annual leave entitlement of 28 days per year rising by one day per year until 30 days annual leave per year is reached. In addition, we offer 8 days public holidays plus 2 additional days in March and August. Plus, three days of ‘end of year’ leave, bridging the gap between the festive holiday period and new year to allow colleagues to rest and recharge during this unique quiet time. All leave entitlement is calculated pro-rata for part time employees
Other leave: Employees have contractual rights to time off for reasons of sickness, maternity and other circumstances.
Period of notice: 2 months after your probationary period has been completed.

About the PKD Charity
Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. A few babies have a rare form of PKD which results in death during pregnancy or shortly after birth; the surviving children often have to have either a kidney or liver transplant before the age of 10.
We provide reliable, accredited information, advice and personalised support. We raise awareness of the burden of PKD, both clinical and psychosocial. We fund research aimed at understanding more about PKD and the discovery of therapies that will improve quality and longevity of life.

About the role
The role will be joining the small, committed team at the PKD Charity and presents an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in helping make a significant difference to people affected by polycystic kidney disease.
You will be responsible for developing and delivery the fundraising strategy and meeting income targets across various income streams including Community and Events, Corporate, Individual Giving, Legacies and Major Donor fundraising.
We are looking for a committed, highly motivated and creative fundraiser who is confident and excited about working across all areas of fundraising and generating income for a small national charity. As the sole fundraiser at the charity, you will be comfortable working independently.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy which will maximise income generation from a range of sources including Community and Events, Individual Giving, Legacies, Commemorative Giving, Corporate and Major Donor Fundraising.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of all communications and fundraising activity and to use this learning to inform and shape the future of our activity in this area throughout the organisation.
Community and Events Fundraising
- Market and recruit for a programme of national sports and challenge events including the London Marathon and Great North Run. Supporting our participants to achieve their fundraising targets
- Develop and deliver new and existing fundraising events and activities that will engage with the PKD Charity community.
- Secure new income from community audiences through referrals and introductions from existing supporters and sourcing of new funders within the community, including businesses, social groups, clubs and societies, religious groups and schools.
- Recruit, manage, and develop a network of volunteers to support fundraising activities in communities around the UK and help raise awareness of polycystic kidney disease and the charity.
Individual Giving
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy, to maximise unrestricted income, recruit new regular givers and reduce attrition rates.
- Work with the team to support the recently launched legacy fundraising and commemorative giving strategy, to maximise income.
Corporate and Major Donor
- Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of supporters, including the account management of partnerships with businesses.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive to develop relationships with major donors and support the development of a major donor programme.
- Ensure that the organisational CRM database usage is optimised to facilitate major donor fundraising.
- Work with other organisations to maximise joint fundraising opportunities.

Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) is the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s air ambulance charities, enabling them to save even more lives every day.
Purpose of Post
The postholder will be responsible for AAUK’s online digital community the Members Hub, developing additional membership benefits and creating a Membership Development Strategy. Key events include the Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence, All Party Parliamentary Group Air Ambulance Reception and attendance at Helitech, Emergency Services Show and other relevant events.
The current membership portfolio includes local air ambulance charities, air ambulance suppliers and other key stakeholders who support the air ambulance community.
Key Responsibilities
Events
- Responsible for the delivery of AAUK’s Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence including managing key suppliers, delivering the speaker programme and managing income/expenditure.
- Creation of a sponsorship pipeline for key events in collaboration with other members of the Income Generation team to ensure all opportunities for sponsorship are maximised.
- Ensure maximum benefit from AAUK’s attendance at events such as The Emergency Service Show and Helitech.
Membership
- Creation and management of a varied membership pipeline to support the expansion and diversification of membership.
- Working in collaboration with other organisations and partners to further develop the current membership offering to include additional benefits.
- Develop a Membership Development Strategy to underpin membership activities to support membership satisfaction and growth.
- Respond effectively to member enquiries, providing timely and accurate information, advice and guidance as needed.
- Responsible for all membership materials.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate membership information is recorded on AAUK’s CRM.
- Ensure membership engagement in key AAUK campaigns such as Air Ambulances Week.
Members Hub
- Ownership of the AAUK Members Hub, the digital community for members including the ongoing development of the platform.
- Identify new functionality and opportunities to develop the Members Hub to maximise engagement from and benefit to members.
- Provide relevant content, moderation and identification of key trends and areas of positive and negative member feedback within the Members Hub.
Other
- Represent and be an ambassador for AAUK.
- Work to support AAUK‘s vision, purpose, values, goals, and priorities.
- Be flexible and carry out any other associated duties that may arise, develop, or be assigned.
- Report and present to the AAUK Board when necessary.

Main responsibilities:
Strategy
- Maintain and implement our Fundraising Strategy with a focus on Trusts and Foundations, whilst developing other streams of revenue, including corporate partnerships, online fundraising, major donors and the potential creation of a social enterprise.

Fundraising
- Build on the successful development of the current fundraising programme to ensure the growth and consolidation of key income streams.

The Role

The UK Portfolio delivers funding programmes and supports projects that aim to inform, influence or scale work across the UK providing benefit to communities. With a UK-wide reach, we are uniquely positioned to complement the work of the Fund’s other four country portfolios: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. These roles are 18-month fixed term contracts.
We’re a relatively small team with wide ranging experience and interests, which reflects in the work we deliver. Annually we distribute approximately £80m across different programmes supporting projects from Fife to Omagh, Teesside to Bridgend.
This is an exciting time to join the Fund as we embark on the delivery and implementation of our new strategy – ‘It starts with community’.
Portfolio Officers are at the core of what we do, they work closely with grant seekers to support them through our funding, assess their applications and provide recommendations to our decision makers. They also work closely with grant holders ensuring public money is spent appropriately within communities across the UK and share learning and insights from the work we fund.
You’ll report to one of our Portfolio Managers and work with other Portfolio Officers across different areas of the team. Some of our recent and exciting programmes and activity include:
· The Climate Action Fund, a £100m programme supporting communities across the UK to take action on climate change.

You will work across the full life cycle of our grant making assessing applications on current, open programmes and managing and closing down grants as they are completed. If you have experience of delivering a successful peer support service or volunteer programme this is a genuinely exciting opportunity to develop a new service for an established patient support charity. Based remotely, but able to travel frequently in and around to London, we are seeking a creative, organised and committed programme manager.
Kidney Care will be working with the London Kidney Network and peer support champions from London NHS Trusts to establish a London-wide kidney peer support service. The ambition is to develop the service to cover the UK.
This is all about connecting people who are living with kidney failure, and applications from people with personal experience of the condition as a patient or carer are encouraged.
This is a new service for Kidney Care UK and the programme manager will be instrumental in scoping and implementing processes and procedures to deliver a compassionate, safe and valued service. The role will also ensure that all volunteers giving their time to Kidney Care UK have a fulfilling experience and will support colleagues across the organisation to confidently engage and support their own volunteers.

About the Peer Support Service
The Peer Support Service connects people affected by CKD with a volunteer who shares a similar lived experience. Alongside partners in the London Kidney Network, we will recruit, train and support volunteers to provide a friendly listening ear and share practical information to build confidence in decision making, explore options and make informed choices about a range of issues from treatment to travel. Patients, their families and caregivers will access the service to request a conversation with someone matched on a range of factors which could include treatment modality, location, age and life experience.
This is a new service that the Peer Support manager will establish and shape, working effectively with stakeholders to build a trusted service that patients and healthcare professionals want to engage with. This is very much a hands-on role covering all aspects of delivering the service; creating resources and processes; recruiting, training and stewarding volunteers; promotion, and building relationships with NHS renal units to attract service users; and of course, matching individuals to encourage patients to feel empowered to make choices and manage their condition with confidence.

Winston's Wish is a national charity providing support to children and young people who are bereaved. Our vision is of a society in which children and young people don’t have to face grief alone.
We’re looking for a creative professional with a genuine excitement for digital and the powerful role it can play in improving the experiences of bereaved children and young people.
As an integral part of our Marketing & Communications team, you will be responsible for the day to day running and effective performance of our websites, social media channels and support on email engagement and paid acquisition. You will work with colleagues to identify, plan and schedule content across our digital channels and use data and analytics to consistently optimise performance, drive engagement, identify opportunities and grow our channels.
The role will be busy; in the most positive sense as you’ll be at the forefront of exploring new and exciting ways to reach bereaved young people digitally. Our Marketing & Communications team is small but mighty, driven by the challenge of our strategy and powered by the inspirational people and stories that remind us to ensure no child or young person grieves alone.
Please note: This is a maternity cover role for 13 months commencing 12th February 2024 and finishing Friday 7th March 2025. This may only be a temporary role, but you’ll have the opportunity to make a permanent and lasting impact for bereaved children and young people for years to come.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Website:
• Manage, monitor and maintain website Content Management Systems.
• Manage the website agency relationship and the on-going development and improvement of the organisation's websites.
Digital Marketing & Communications:
• Take the lead on planning, developing and delivering digital marketing campaigns utilising social media advertising, Google Ads and external platforms to increase traffic and conversions to the Winston’s Wish websites.
• Manage and optimise SEO/SEM/SMO performance.
• Manage email marketing including data preparation, content creation and performance tracking.
• Measure and report on all digital marketing activities to identify trends and emerging insight to identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
• Work with the Head of Data to ensure all data capture activity across Winston’s Wish digital channels comply with GDPR regulations.
• Support and work with colleagues to develop, deliver and manage an annual digital content plan across our website and social media channels with the aim to drive traffic, increase engagement and extend online reach.
• Support colleagues to ensure the effective management of the charity’s social media channels.
• Continuously review and evaluate the performance of the charity’s digital platforms, tools, and software.
• Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns.
• Work with marketing and communication colleagues to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach across all marketing channels
• Support other members of the team at times of absence.
• Work to objectives, targets and work plans agreed with your line manager.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks and projects, as deemed appropriate by the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications, fulfilling any deadlines, reviews and reporting procedures required.
