We are looking for a part time Membership Officer to work Monday - Wednesday. This is essentially a job share with our existing Membership Officer who works Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays. Together, they will lead on administrative support of our membership functions. Reporting to our Office and Events Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the administrative functions that support the smooth running and ongoing success of the organisation around membership.
This is an interesting and varied role that acts as a first 'point of contact’ for the people we work with (such as Member Institutions, Registrants and queries from members of the public), as well as managing the administrative aspect of memberships, such as setting up new Registrants on our CRM system. The role also involves longer term project work such as overseeing the CPD audit and improving and growing membership processes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with previous administrative experience who are keen to join our small and friendly staff team.

Job Purpose:
The post holder will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational development of the charity with particular responsibility for grant awarding functions to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with our charitable objectives and values.
A senior leadership team member, this role will lead Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s grant awarding process, develop multi-year strategies with a focus on long term funding priorities & achieving the charity’s purpose and demonstrating our impact.

Main Duties/Tasks
Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Reporting
Lead on the development and implementation of strategic, multi-year plans and budgets, identify upcoming funding requirements.
Monitor progress against strategic plans, budgets, KPIs, producing reports.
Develop and implement a framework for demonstrating our charitable impact across the charity funding pillars.
Build strategic partnerships internally and externally to support funding priorities and maximise our impact.
Attend the Charitable Spending Committee and Board meetings.
Grant Applications, Awards & Reporting
Oversee and develop the grant process, ensuring it aligns with the charitable spending strategy, provides detailed, relevant information and monitors performance.
Manage the grant award process, ensuring that applications are reviewed and approved in line with the agreed authority levels, ensuring that papers are appropriate for the Charitable Spending Committee and Board review.
Maintain and update the grant Terms & Conditions.
Provide leadership and direction to the Grants Manager, empowering them & the team to deliver against set goals and objectives.
Communication & Relationships
Lead on the development of an internal communications plan, promoting both the opportunities available to apply for Charitable Funding within the Trust and the impact of projects that have been funded by the Charity. Promote the work of the Charity throughout the Trust and with funders.
Develop relationships with the Charitable Spending Committee.
Develop key relationships throughout the Trust that support the grant award and reporting process.
To build and manage key relationships with existing partners.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Finance Team, working together to provide a smooth process.
Lead on internal liaison to ensure that fundraising teams have the information they need to report back to funders and donors on how their donations have made a vital difference.
Lead on providing and co-ordinating information to the Head of Marketing for the yearly impact report and Annual Report for the Financial Statements.
Innovation & Development
Be the lead specialist in grant awarding and maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice.
Work with the database manager to develop the use of the CRM system with the grants team to maximise efficiency.
Work with the database manager to develop a framework for impact reporting that links to our CRM system.

ROLE
Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time). The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and effective Major Donor fundraiser. The postholder will help us, as a leading maritime charity, to achieve our mission to support seafarers, fishers and their families around the world.
MAIN PURPOSE
The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.
2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.
3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.
4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.
5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.
6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.
7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.
8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.
9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.
10 Arrange events for Major Donors.
11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner.

Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all members of the Charity team, donors – both existing and potential – and Trust staff. This role will provide support to the fundraising team and with HR processing for the Charity, whilst also supporting with our hospital and online shop.
Main Duties/Tasks
Fundraising & Office duties
Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. We are a multi-award-winning, creative, and innovative organisation, and the Database Officer is a role at Al-Khair Foundation, sitting within the Database team and delivering on a range of database tasks and processes utilising our Salesforce database. We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. Your Role
Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.
You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.
Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.
- Supporting the Fundraising teams with their monthly income recording and reconciliation.
- Liaising with external agencies and the Finance team.
- Checking for and correcting inaccuracies and updating supporter records.

The Charity
GroceryAid has been the charity for the grocery industry since 1857. It provides free and confidential welfare support to anyone working in the grocery industry, from the first day of their employment. More than 350 of the most well-known grocery retailers and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brands support the charity, enabling us to help more than 44,000 people in the last twelve months alone. The charity raises funds through a highly respected yearly events calendar and the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) in Grocery programme.
D&I in Grocery Programme
The programme is delivered and facilitated by GroceryAid, with the support of the Strategy Steering Group and three workstream steering groups, it is a programme truly created for the industry by the industry. With over 90 FMCG partners, it is the largest collaboration of FMCG brands, working towards the common goal to accelerate a truly diverse and inclusive grocery industry. In 2023 the programme provided over 12,562 learning hours across 64 D&I topics. The programme benefits its partners through:

Main purpose of the role
As a senior member of the D&I in Grocery team, you will play an integral part in managing partners and supporting them through their D&I journey. Lead on the Mentoring workstream and manage D&I in Grocery’s first ever Maturity Model. This role will support two key College projects; the Global Health Workforce Project for 3 days a week and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) replacement project for 2 days a week.
For the Global Health Workforce Project you will be responsible for the RCPath’s overall project management and delivery obligations as lead partner.
