Events fundraising is a crucial part of our fundraising strategy, to improve outcomes from sepsis.
This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of both third party and UKST annual events that will support UK Sepsis Trust’s continued growth across the UK, helping us to reach and support more people who are affected by sepsis.
As UK Sepsis Trust’s Events Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts by designing and delivering a varied portfolio of events. Working closely with our Head of Income Generation and the fundraising team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver excellent stewardship to fundraisers and help them to achieve their fundraising goals.
You will understand the importance of being organised, managing strict deadlines and putting together event budgets.

Key Responsibilities
Events delivery
- Work with the fundraising team, to plan and execute fundraising events-both 3rd party and UKST own
- Manage mass participation fundraising initiatives
- Design and deliver virtual events, eg Facebook Challenges
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and deliver new fundraising events
- Evaluate fundraising events and provide reports on all aspects of the event, analysing the efficacy and value of the event, what can/should be changed and whether the event should be repeated.
- Use the CRM to manage all event registrations and reports
Donor Stewardship
- Provide excellent stewardship to events participants , ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
- Organise event WhatsApp groups to encourage communication and shared gaols
Revenue Generation
- Set ambitious events fundraising targets and work with your colleagues to develop plans to achieve them.
- Use our CRM to track and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to colleagues.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with fundraisers, serving as the primary point of contact for event fundraising-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all event registrations and donations on the CRM system.
Experience/ qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in event fundraising in the nonprofit sector or equivalent role.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to articulate the charity's mission and impact effectively.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

We are seeking a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising to deliver the OCT’s ambitious fundraising requirements. This is a vital role for the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) leading on the development and delivery of the full spectrum of fundraising activities to support our mission. The post holder will be a key contributory member of the Senior Management Team.
The OCT has ambitious fundraising requirements. In addition to the funds raised through the National Marine Aquarium (NMA), the OCT needs a more diverse income stream to drive its core programmes, through the development of appropriate corporate, philanthropic and donation initiatives.
The post holder will need to understand the core programmes and develop appropriate schemes and campaigns to build a wide support network to secure a lasting pipeline of donations. They will need to be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, team focussed, comfortable liaising across the organisation to ensure integration with activities such as communication, research, membership, publications, partnerships and data and information services among others. They must own income targets and lead income growth, thinking in terms of pipelines, ROI, KPIs and lifetime value. In addition, they will be key to maximising use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Overall, this role will be fundamental in developing the OCT as the leading Ocean conservation charity in the UK, generating significant new and diverse revenue streams to drive the Charity’s ambition. They must be capable of moving OCT beyond NMA visitor income, building a resilient, mixed portfolio.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.

- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role can be based at either our Shrewsbury or Telford office.
- Community- Community fundraising is at the heart of our charity, and we are constantly amazed by the commitment and creativity of our supporters across the region. ZANE is a UK registered charity providing aid to some of the most destitute people in Zimbabwe. ZANE’s core work is supporting pensioners who, as a result of Zimbabwe’s economic collapse, have been left entirely dependent on charity. Who we’re looking for
ZANE: Zimbabwe A National Emergency is seeking a self-employed organised administrator with CRM experience to support the team in delivering outstanding stewardship to supporters.
Someone who has excellent attention to detail, previous database experience and is able to work both independently and as part of a team is required to provide admin support to our existing small team. Must be able to work year-round. A key part of the role is to shadow the existing team member responsible for the ZANE database.
What’s required
- Shadow the existing team to learn all aspects of ZANE’s database system and administration processes relating to donor stewardship. ZANE does not have an office, so this will be a combination of online and in-person at the individual’s place of work (home).
- Handling new Direct Debit payments.
- Responsible for dealing with legacy administration.
- Assist with the processing of incoming post. This includes cheques, charity vouchers, debit and credit cards and Direct Debits.
- Recording donations and keeping accurate data records of engagement on Harlequin, the charity’s CRM system.
- Attending weekly online and occasional in-person meetings. Assisting at fundraising events – this will require occasional travel to London and other locations.
- Admin duties such as printing thank you letters, filing, shredding, scanning and updating/maintaining spreadsheets.
- Any other duties that working as part of small busy team requires.
Requirements
- Organised, excellent attention to detail. Flexibility regarding hours.
- Previous CRM experience essential. Previous experience of data processing for a charity desirable but not essential.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

We’re looking for someone who can:

Your sound judgment, integrity, and commitment to accountability are essential as the Audit Committee ensures risks are managed, compliance is met, and the organisation performs financially and operationally at the highest level.
You’ll attend three half-day meetings a year, with preparation time, and receive £340 per meeting plus travel and expenses reimbursement. This is a two-year appointment commencing on 1 March 2026, with the possibility of an extension for a further two years.

We are moving CRMs in 2026 and need to make sure that we are efficently and accurately processing all UK income and other supporter data within the organisation's new CRM system. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and compliance of financial and supporter records, enabling the charity to maximise income and supporter engagement.
They will be responsible for processing a range of income sources—including online, postal, event, and PayPal donations—while ensuring timely and compliant Gift Aid claims and accurate data management. The role will also support database maintenance, data quality, and system improvements through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
In addition, the post holder will uphold data protection and fundraising compliance (including GDPR, PECR, and Gift Aid regulations), provide training and support to colleagues, and contribute to a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continual improvement across the Fundraising and Marketing team.

Main Responsibilities
· Assisting the CEO and the Executive Team Members in the development and delivery of the Society’s many activities and projects to ensure all tasks are being completed within timelines, effectively and to high standards
· Supporting the Conferences and Events Manager in the development and running of an extensive programme of network events and workshops, and the Society’s annual conference
· Promoting the Society and its events on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Bluesky, and X
· Scheduling meetings, organising papers, and some note/minute taking, as required
· Ensuring all actions are recorded and completed following Meetings of the Board of Trustees and standing committee and working group meetings.
· Developing an understanding of the Society’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems and managing related data.
· Ensuring the SRHE website is kept up to date, in liaison with other team members
· Providing quality customer service for members and external contacts
Qualifications, skills and experience
You will need to demonstrate that you possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
· Demonstrable experience in a team support role or an administrative assistant role
· Excellent organisation and administration skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Good numeracy skills
· Excellent knowledge/application of office IT systems (Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
· Familiarity with website maintenance and basic website management
· Managing, maintaining and manipulating databases
· Preferred education is to undergraduate level with an interest in higher education provision

This integral role will provide high-quality administrative, compliance and organisational support across the charity. The Operations Officer will support day-to-day operations, ensuring strong governance, accurate record keeping and systems efficiency all of which will allow the delivery of CHEER’s client and volunteer services.Training will be offered where required (eg: compliance, DBS checking, charity governance).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. CRM management (Beacon)

Ensure the charity’s CRM is accurate, up to date and used consistently across the team.

Conduct regular spot checks and data quality reviews.
-
Support the transition to CRM-driven reporting.

Develop and maintain CRM admin processes, templates and documentation (including user guide).
2. Governance, compliance & policy administration

Maintain organisational policies, procedures, training records and compliance documentation.

Schedule reviews cycles and follow up with team/trustees for updates.
-
Maintain accurate HR compliance records for team (DBS renewals, training certificates etc.).
-
Keep governance and compliance well-organised and accessible.
-
Contribute to improving workflows, systems and processes.
3. SharePoint & digital systems maintenance

Lead an overhaul of SharePoint structure to create a clear, user-friendly filing system.

Ensure documents are saved, organised, version-controlled and archived.
-
Keep SharePoint updated and functioning well.
-
Support staff with basic digital troubleshooting and liaise with IT support when required.
4. Memberships, subscriptions & Organisational admin

Monitor charity memberships, renewals, insurances, subscriptions, storage costs, licences, software and service contracts.

Maintain a central register of renewal dates and ensure timely payments.

Support procurement of equipment, supplies and services.
5. Meeting coordination & minute taking

Manage meeting schedules, invitations, and logistics for:
