Job description

This new role will involve tendering for a new CRM and overseeing a small cross-functional project team in the implementation of the new CRM.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive, organisation-wide data strategy to support the wider organisational strategy.
  • Be the expert advisor to the Senior Management Team on all issues relating to the organisation’s data
  • Building on work already done, lead the process of reviewing and developing the organisations data to identify the systems, processes and skills required to achieve our long-term objectives
  • Working with the cross functional One Thrive data team to build relationships that motivate and enthuse colleagues, with why data is relevant to them and how it can be incorporated into day-to-day practices
  • Work with teams across the organisation to embed appropriate data approaches within their work and enable system and knowledge management, including identifying training and communication needs to ensure consistency in data management into the future
  • Develop and scope the CRM replacement project to meet our future data management needs, securing sign off by the Senior Management Team
  • Secure an appropriate technology partner to deliver our new CRM and manage the relationship to ensure effective use of Thrive’s resources (staff time and finances) to achieve the project outcomes.
  • Review and lead on the organisation’s procedures relating to data risk management, including the impact of data legislation.  Ensure that our systems and processes are always in line with data protection and privacy legislation, as well as best practice.

Candidate requirements:


  • An experienced Project Manager with an excellent knowledge of different data systems and organisational change processes; experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage
  • Desirable

  • An up-to-date knowledge of the key concepts of Data Protection Legislation and the practices and procedures needed for organisational compliance.
  • Prince 2, or other relevant project management qualification
