We are recruiting for a Sales Assistant to join our wonderful Rustington team.

The successful applicant will be required to work 2 days per week including every Sunday. Each Sunday you be responsible for the management of the store, ensuring it showcases our wonderful donations and taking pride in maintaining a tidy and accessible space for all.

The successful candidate will support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays, store tidying and much more, whilst representing Age UK in a professional manner and reflecting our core values.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to handle/lift bags of stock (up to 10kgs.)

You will have:

• Experience in working in a customer facing role
• Experience of cash handling
• Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg's
• The ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Be able to lone work when needed
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as commitment to equal opportunities
• A flexible approach to work with requirement to work additional days to cover holidays and sickness or participate in trading outside of normal shop hours e.g. shop events

The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisation’s needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Most staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer. The Role

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide support to two of our Directors and our Chief Financial Officer.

Acting as a conduit and gatekeeper for our Directors, key stakeholders and other individuals, you will provide administrative and organisational support to enable their day-to-day operations. Our Principal is looking for a Personal Assistant who has the initiative to drive projects forward and is highly organised. This is an exciting new role within a vibrant and growing Charity. The successful candidate will provide strong executive support to the Principal as he seeks to further develop the organisation’s outputs.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.

The role of Personal Assistant to the Principal will provide the Principal with proactive and confidential project-related and administrative support, with a particular focus on development and fundraising activities. Our current annual expenditure on charitable activities is around £1.3m and we rely on donations and receive no public subsidy. The Principal therefore acts as both the head of the Charity as well as the primary fundraiser.

The post-holder will possess strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the tenacity to follow work through to completion. He/she should have experience in a previous PA and/or fundraising & development role, ideally within the Charity sector.

This team is looking for someone to join them as a Challenge and Public Events Assistant on a 6-month contract, to be the first point of contact for fundraising products, In-Celebration and community supporters, as well as our carol concert attendees, delivering exceptional supporter care and building long-lasting relationships. The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.

The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.

The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.

They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.

The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.

The role 

We have experienced an exponential growth in income from public fundraising leading to an increased awareness of fuel poverty. To build on this success and maintain increased unrestricted income from a wider fundraising mix, we are recruiting a new Fundraising Assistant to offer vital support for all fundraising activities. This new role will join a small, proactive team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events and community fundraisers and individual giving.

As Fundraising Assistant, you will provide admin and fundraising support across the Fundraising and Partnerships Team and excellent customer service to supporters, partners, fundraisers, and internal stakeholders in pursuit of the overall strategy of the Fundraising and Partnerships Team.

What you will need to succeed 

You will have demonstrable experience of working in fundraising, business development, customer service or a similar background.

You will also assist with the implementation of the NEA donor journey and stewardship activities, organisation of fundraising events as required – as well as supporting with donor communication and retention.

With such an array of opportunities you will need to have a high attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and be exceptionally organised.

You should be based in Newcastle upon Tyne or within a commutable distance, with some infrequent travel on an ad-hoc basis.

Hybrid working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.

We are looking to recruit a Retail Assistant to join our team based at our Midlands site. You will join us on a part-time, fixed term contract for 6 months, working 12 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £7,368.05 per annum.

Purpose of the Retail Assistant role is to:

As our Retail Assistant, you will deliver an exceptional visitor experience, providing consistently high standards of customer care whilst actively supporting the strategic priorities of the Museum, especially in relation to the delivery of our retail and other commercial activities

Key responsibilities of our Retail Assistant include:

• Providing high standards of customer care through pro-active and re-active engagement with visitors
• Operating commercial experiences, and associated tills
• Maximising commercial experiences revenue by actively promoting the experiences and ensuring the they operate at the appropriate times
• Quickly reporting any commercial experiences issues to the relevant people, including liaising directly with external contractors where appropriate
• Ensuring all security and health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times, including the completion and recording of daily and weekly checks
• Operating flexibly across a range of customer care roles
• Accurately cashing-up and reconciling tills/EPOS system as required
• Utilising all visitor interactions as an opportunity to promote additional income generation
• Regularly monitoring the condition and cleanliness of front of house facilities, including retail displays, taking corrective action and/or reporting issues as appropriate
• Promoting and selling souvenir guidebooks, trails, Museum membership and other commercial products as required

What we are looking for in our Retail Assistant:

• Demonstrable experience in customer-focused environment
• A good level of general education
• Commercial acumen
• Good level of computer literacy and IT skills including Microsoft Office software
• Up to date First Aid qualification

Our client

Morgan Hunt is working with a large Housing Association to recruit a temporary Community Centre Assistant for one of their award winning, health and wellbeing hubs locations in Old Trafford. The hub offers a wide range of facilities, community activities and services as well as 81 beautiful extra care apartments. The focus is on the local community and the people within it, where people can come to meet, eat, celebrate, collaborate, learn, and grow. A temporary need has arisen for Community Centre Assistant for a period of up to 2 months initially on a part time basis (4pm - 8pm), Monday to Friday.

The role - Community Centre Assistant

As a Community Centre Assistant, you will;

• Provide operational support to the day to day running of the community centre, including health and safety and customer support.
• You will provide a professional inclusive and customer focused service to the users of the community centre.
• Ensure centres are set up correctly in advance of bookings.
• Make sure the centre is clean and well-presented.
• Ensure hirers clear away at the end of a booking and leave the room ready for next user.
• Where relevant maintain schedules and records of building maintenance, reporting maintenance or repairs issues to the relevant team.
• Carry out health and safety checks and maintain appropriate records.
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the building when directed including evenings and weekends as required.
• Inspect community centres in accordance with procedures, maintain all associated registers and records and ensure all actions identified are rectified.
• Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and teams, residents, and user groups to ensure effective, efficient and customer focused delivery of services relating to the centres.
• Ensure accurate and up to date records are kept using appropriate systems.

The candidate;

• Able to demonstrate experience of delivering customer focused services in a demanding, public facing environment.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload.
• Good communication skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• A basic DBS is required for this role.
