Role Purpose: The Grant Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the charity's grant giving functions.

Key responsibilities:

And will act as a daily point of contact between the Grant administrator & the Trust, ensuring the Head of Services is appropriately updated. 

• Build strong, transparent, appropriate relationships with British Gas and Centrica, and act as a liaison on a day-to-day basis with project teams.

• Identify, recognize & respond to issues or opportunities as they arise. 

Direct grant scheme: Debt Write Off & Financial Assistance Payments, White Goods & Money Advice - administration & monitoring:

• Support the Head of Services with the debt write off and all programmes including working with Third party contractors as appropriate.

• Work with the Head of Services to build strong relationships with Third Party administrator(s).

• Work closely with British Gas & other third-party contractors to understand their operational process for vulnerable customers, applications and referrals as well as any dependencies.

• Support BGET’s understanding of money and advice sector across England, Scotland and Wales, including sharing policy knowledge and sector developments within the 3 nations.
• Contribute to new initiatives with British Gas and grant giving programmes.

· Support the effective management of the Trust’s grant programmes across England, Scotland and Wales, including:

• Build & manage positive relationships with the grant assessment team and British Gas internal teams. 

• Providing appropriate support to ensure the direct grant programme runs efficiently and effectively, with grant funding distributed to budget and schedule.

• Undertaking both face to face and virtual monitoring visits of the helpline and application portal and assessment teams – including ongoing KPI and impact evaluation process, creating comprehensive follow-up reports including end of grant reports.

Reporting & Contract Management:

• Ensure all data collection aligned to current Data Protection regulations and use and storage of data is in line with the Trust’s own policies and provide reassurance to the Head of Services.

• Ensure accurate data is in place for year-end reporting, quarterly and including assisting Head of Services with quarterly and End of Year Board reporting.

 Reporting & Contract Management: 

• Identify risks to delivery and work with the grant administrator to help resolve any challenges with delivery that impact on the grant obligations.

• To work with internal and external monitoring and evaluation specialists, to gain impact and understanding of the effect of our funding schemes.

Knowledge Sharing

• Identify and develop opportunities to work collaboratively and share learning.

• Ensure case studies and other content is collated from grant recipients to share through our channels.

Please note the employee will be required to undertake any reasonable work or task requested by the Trust, this will include occasional travel, potentially overnight, in England, Scotland and Wales. 

Desirable Experience: 

• Experience of working with positive, equitable partnerships. 

• Experience in using Grant Management Software including reporting systems and dashboards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively without compromising on quality or efficiency and be able to adapt to changing demands.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships 

• Accuracy and attention to detail with a methodical approach.

• Flexible approach to changing circumstances, prepared to re-order priorities as required.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

We are now recruiting the team that will deliver Crisis at Christmas 2025. This unique project mobilises a huge volunteering effort to provide warmth, companionship and vital services in temporary centres across London to people facing homelessness.

About the role

This role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Each year, we source gift in kind donations ranging from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and toiletries. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running our yearly community donations drive.

About you

• Previous fundraising, project or event coordination or marketing experience. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with partner organisations and donors at all levels and work collaboratively within a wider team. 

• Excellent attention to detail and data processing accuracy with experience of using Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and SharePoint.   

• Good organisational and problem-solving skills. You should be able to manage multiple competing priorities and modify plans in response to unexpected complications.  

• A pro-active, positive attitude and willingness to get involved in hands on, manual tasks when required.

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. 

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Manchester.

• The Manchester Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust's Finance and Operations Team.  We are a small dynamic team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support in administering all financial controls and processing for the organisation.  The successful applicant will come from a financial background with a strong understanding of financial principles, an accounting qualification and proficiency in Excel.  They will have experience in bookkeeping, reconciling accounts as well as dealing with banking, grant applications and expenses. 

The role would suit an individual, who is approachable and organised, with excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team.  The role involves liaising and following up with all teams to ensure the data provided is accurate and timely, to support grant applications, payments and audit requirements.

Data Insights Officer

This is a newly created Data Insights Officer role within the Systems team, where you will significantly enhance the capacity and expertise in data analysis and reporting.

The Role

We’re seeking a visionary and collaborative Communications Lead to lead the next phase of our communications strategy. This role is about more than messaging — it’s about shaping a compelling and inspiring public voice for creative climate action.

You will be responsible for our brand, storytelling, content strategy, and creative outputs—ensuring that everything we do reflects our values, amplifies our impact, and deepens our reach across the cultural and climate landscape. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our impact including welcoming new cultural organisations, creative practitioners, environmental partners, and funders into our network.

This is a digital-first communications role, with a strong focus on content development, storytelling, and designing varied communication campaigns. You’ll oversee our editorial voice across blogs, email, social media, and digital content. Alongside our Marketing Lead, you will ensure our insights, tools, and narratives are warm, purpose-focused, clear, accessible, and optimised for reach and engagement. You will be someone who thrives on the combination of ambitious strategic thinking and delivering content and projects on the ground. 

You will collaborate with partner organisations to co-create communications, support joint campaigns, and ensure our voice is visible and aligned in the broader climate and culture movement. And while press/media remains part of the role, your primary focus will be digital content, brand positioning, and reaching new audiences.

You will be part of a small Marketing and Communications team and work closely with the rest of JB’s 22-person, supportive and mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and deliver an inclusive, digital-first communications strategy that positions Julie’s Bicycle as a cultural leader in climate action.
• Work with senior leadership to drive communications that support organisational growth, impact and fundraising, helping to expand our network and deepen engagement with the arts and cultural sector and the climate and environmental movement. 
• Embed climate justice and equity throughout our communications, ensuring our language, images, and stories reflect a diverse, accessible, and fair transition.

Brand, Creative & Campaigns

• Lead on brand implementation, ensuring coherence of messaging and tone across all channels and materials. 
• Deliver innovative and values-led communications campaigns in collaboration with partners and internal teams. Lead on key messaging, ensuring we are consistent and confident across all our channels.
• Take a data-led approach to maximise impact of our communications.
• Oversee design and creative production for campaigns, reports and digital content, (working alongside our Marketing Lead and with support from external designers/freelancers). 
• Ensure communications projects are managed on time and on budget.
• Develop and implement communications for newer target audiences in particular leaders and change-makers across the environmental sector.
• Collaborate with our Marketing Lead to co-develop mar/comms strategies for individual programmes and projects.

Content & Digital

• Develop engaging, inclusive content across web, blogs, newsletters and social media.
• Shape and oversee editorial calendars that reflect our programmes, partnerships, research, and events.
• Lead on our content management and storytelling strategy. 
• Ensure all content is optimised for audience growth, accessibility, and search (SEO), working closely with our Marketing Lead who leads on our overall web and SEO strategy.
• Support on the production of public reports and external briefing materials, ensuring appropriate tone and key messages.
• Manage internal and freelance team members producing social media content.

Partnerships & Profile

• Collaborate with cultural, environmental, and funding partners to co-create shared messaging, campaigns, and communications assets.
• Ensure JB’s story, voice, and impact are clearly represented in all collaborations and public-facing materials.
• Support JB’s role in coalitions and networks by developing communications that reflect collective aims and shared values.
• Work with the JB team to create and implement a strategy for public-facing thought leadership.

Media & External Relations

• Maintain relationships with relevant journalists and media outlets, responding to media opportunities that align with our strategy.
• Support the Director and other team members with media briefings and public communications as needed.
• When funded opportunities arise, lead liaison with external PR and media consultants. 

Team & Collaboration

• Support the management of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
• Work closely with all internal teams — partnership, consultancy, research, advocacy, programmes — to align messaging and amplify impact.

• Support the implementation and day to day running of JB’s new CRM.

Person Specification

Essential

• Substantial experience in a senior communications role, ideally within the cultural, environmental, or non-profit sectors.
• Significant experience in designing and delivering successful communications strategies.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a track record of developing clear, creative, and inclusive content.
• Strong experience in campaign development, brand implementation, visual storytelling, and communications project management.
• Knowledge of content strategy, SEO, and audience engagement across digital platforms.
• Demonstrable ability to embed equity, diversity, and commitment to climate justice into communications practice.
• Collaborative and confident communicator with experience working across teams and with external partners.
• Strategic thinker with a commitment to Julie’s Bicycle’s mission and values.

Just over a year ago, Children Not Numbers was founded in response to the unprecedented crisis facing Palestinian children in Gaza.

Our UK-based medico-legal NGO was established to be a voice for the most vulnerable and innocent victims: children. We chose the name Children Not Numbers to acknowledge that the dead and wounded are not simply statistics.

From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to provide life-saving medical care, rehabilitation, and long-term support to children affected by war and poverty. Our six core objectives are:

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. You’ll support the smooth running of our regular giving programme, handle general fundraising administration and ensure excellent supporter care and team efficiency. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
