Summary

• Act as a first point of contact for overall event management activities and undertake project planning programmes.
• Monitor and provide budget updates to the Head of Senior Leadership Development, ensuring expenditure is within budget.
• Responsible for setting up vendors through the procurement process.
• Liaising with freelancers and suppliers to ensure contracts are in place, invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

• The role requires the postholder to undertake travel, have overnight stays in venues across the country and on occasion work outside of normal office hours to support the planning and delivery of events.

Please note: This role is also suited for candidates who choose to work from home. If you opt to be a homeworker, you are responsible for your travel expenses to your primary/base location, as the role requires you to attend infrequent face-to-face meetings 1-2 days per month.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have:

• Experience in planning and organising activities and/or events which support project work, as well as contributing ideas to improve the efficiency of processes/work.

The Education Directorate with our client is looking for an operations and service-delivery lead with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple complex workstreams, to join them in the Business development and education support team.

The Education directorate delivers a wide range of educational programmes for doctors of all grades. The portfolio includes one- and two-day workshops, their accredited programmes, commissioned programmes, online courses, podcasts, and Masters programmes in partnership with university partners.

They have wide portfolio including topics such as teaching, learning, assessment, feedback, supervision and communication skills. The directorate has a team of educationalists who design and deliver these programmes and a team of education coordinators and librarians who provide management and all aspects of learner support.

About the role

You will work closely with internal colleagues such as educationalists, project managers and administrators, as well as colleagues in finance, IT, HR, and communications. You will lead and manage a team, and you’ll be required to work collaboratively with a broader team of volunteer clinical faculty who help us develop and deliver our programmes.

You’ll work closely with the Head of relationships and engagement and the Projects and credentials lead, to ensure that the team support all areas of the business, including event management, projects, marketing and quality assurance.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Data Operations Executive to join our Data Import Team in our wider Customer Engagement and Experience Team. This role is an integral part of the team who support the important work of the organisation as well as representing and delivering value to all our audiences, both internal and external.

In this role, you’ll get involved in a variety of important database activities — from handling large data imports and automated routines, working with personal and financial data, to making sure customer relationships are maintained by managing queries and interactions from different sources. You’ll be responsible for coding, resolving and importing bulk data exceptions into our Raiser’s Edge database using tools such as Message Broker ETL and ImportOmatic, as well as managing ad hoc manual data imports from platforms like Just Giving, Benevity and Everyclick.

You’ll use our CRM and other platforms to work with live data from our donors and supporters. This includes monitoring data feeds, downloading and uploading regular data files, and reporting any issues to the Data Import Manager. You’ll also play an active part in maintaining and improving data quality through regular housekeeping, data cleansing and updates, helping to ensure everything’s accurate, consistent and compliant with GDPR, Gift Aid regulations and internal policies.

As a key link between the Customer Experience Team and the database team, you’ll support positive customer experiences and help keep information flowing smoothly across the organisation. You’ll also assist with internal data requests, contribute to wider organisational projects and provide training and guidance on database processes to team members and other staff.

What we want from you

The Education and Growing Faith department is looking to hire a Senior Programme Officer to support the church schools and the wider education sector. Working in the Operations Team, you'll be directly supporting the Head of Operations with project work and the wider NSE with system and process support. About the Department/Role

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

What you'll be doing

We are particularly interested in candidates who can operate strategically in relation to audit, risk and finance and are skilled at leading a Council or Board and its committees to identify and manage key risks, plan mitigations and develop internal controls and associated assurance activity to ensure our finances and management of corporate and departmental risks match our strategic ambitions. You will also chair our monthly SMT risk register meetings and be adept at preparing comprehensive and well-written reports and briefing papers to help inform good decision making and accurate reporting.

Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our register is paramount, as is managing registration renewals and applications for registration, including from optical professionals registered overseas. A key focus here is learning lessons from never events and engaging with PSA’s review of our performance in this area. We are also making a significant investment from our reserves to improve our digital infrastructure. This includes implementing a new MyGOC platform, with the build phase just launched. We anticipate this will deliver improvements to our digital interface with our registrants, and to our ability to provide excellent customer-service. as well as facilitate positive operational improvements. Our digital-first strategy describes our ambitions for the next five years to be a digitally enabled, cyber secure organisation, including through the appropriate use of AI, ensuring all our people are fully supported in their use of our digital environment.

We have recently moved office into temporary accommodation at One Canada Square, with a second move planned into our new office in late June 2025. Your leadership of our facilities team will be central to managing this move, identifying and managing risks and capitalising on the opportunities a new office will bring to the development of our internal culture.

In addition, your strategic leadership of our expert finance team will ensure our effective financial management, regulatory compliance and optimisation of resources, and ensuring our financial resilience, and continuously improving and managing our financial capabilities so that we are best placed to finance our functions efficiently. An important dimension of the role will be the support and advice you provide to the Chief Executive, Chair and Council, SMT, committees, panels, workers, members and employees on all matters relating to the delivery of Corporate Services in accordance with our statutory responsibilities. Scope of role

The Debt Advisor is responsible for providing comprehensive, face-to-face debt advice to over-indebted Londoners, tailored to their specific circumstances. Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

About the Role:

The Volunteer Support Assistant will work remotely and will need to have access to a reliable internet connection. They will report to a senior member of the Volunteer Support Team, working across both the Volunteer Support Team and the Live Chat Team, which together form the Chapter One Volunteer Engagement Department. 

This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week, working 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The set working hours are 08:00–15:00, with a one hour unpaid break from 12:00–13:00. Please note that these hours are fixed in line with business needs and cannot be adjusted.

This role will be primarily based within the Volunteer Support Team with day-to-day responsibilities while also being fully trained to provide urgent or emergency cover for the Live Chat Team during staff absence or business need.

About Migrateful

Migrateful is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity founded in 2017. Our mission is to support refugees and migrants facing barriers to employment and integration in the UK by offering training, paid work, and a supportive community.

Our chefs come from diverse backgrounds, often shaped by displacement, modern slavery, or gender-based violence. Through our programme, they train to lead cookery classes for the public and corporate groups, helping them build confidence, improve English skills, and gain meaningful work experience.

About the Role

The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations. 

A key deliverable of this role is also overseeing our invoicing processes. You’ll be responsible for performing bi-weekly checks, ensuring timely and accurate payments to cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and cookery class teachers (Chefs), and supporting improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes. Your work will directly impact the financial clarity and efficiency of our operations, making this a crucial responsibility within the team.

You’ll also play the important role of supporting Facilitators by creating practical guides, coordinating training and skills-sharing sessions, gathering feedback, and maintaining up-to-date documentation such as health and safety records. 

Alongside this, you’ll help manage other key areas of Operations like responding to customer and volunteer queries, coordinating volunteers for public and corporate classes, and supporting process improvements around our use of Salesforce.
