About This Role
We are looking for an exceptional Volunteer Manager to lead and nurture our London volunteer community, which is made up of almost 400 volunteers. This role is key to ensuring every volunteer feels valued, supported, and inspired to give their best in helping women succeed in their employment journeys.
You will be responsible for the full volunteer journey – from recruitment, induction, and training through to ongoing engagement and recognition. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the London centres and the wider Smart Works network to ensure our volunteer community remains strong, inclusive, and aligned with our values.
The role would be based across all three London centres (Islington, Ladbroke Grove and Croydon), and there will be occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu is given.
The successful candidate will build strong working relations with our staff team and volunteers, as well as the teams across Smart Works centres in the UK. We are a community that shares a passion to empower women to thrive in work and life, determined to meet our aim of helping as many women as we can back into work.

About the Role
The Director of Operations is a member of GiveOut’s leadership team, partnering closely with the Executive Director, they will lead on all operational matters, ensuring GiveOut is an efficient, compliant, and resilient institution capable of delivering lasting impact.
The Director of Operations oversees the charity’s financial and administrative systems, human resources, compliance and risk management, and internal communications. They will support the Executive Director in strategic planning, budget management, governance, stakeholder reporting, and cross-organisational projects, deputising for the Executive Director when required.

Key Responsibilities

About the role
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be part of Crisis Skylight London’s Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre. Engagement and Assessment Workers are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis’ services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. You will also manage a small caseload.
Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will attend case management meetings, reflective practice, and team meetings. You will also work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight London’s Coaching and Learning Teams.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience of working with homeless or other vulnerable groups and understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy and sensitivity, and working in a boundary way.
- Experience of assessing presenting needs and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment, and in a way that ensures that members with all levels of need can access the service.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care and high quality IAG.
- Good knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with challenging situations with a calm approach.

As Membership Services Manager (Member Relations), you will take responsibility for the management and administration of primarily back-of-house Member relations and support, with a particular focus on managing the Membership contact centre and maintaining a first-class service for all Members.

The Head of Community will work with the Director of Services on strategic and operational planning and provide operational leadership for the range of Community services delivered by Age UK East London.
The purpose of this role is to:

The Marketing & Communications team is crucial to the success of the Almeida’s ambitious vision and the strategic priorities for the team include:
- Build and manage the brand of the Almeida Theatre across London, the UK and internationally.
- Take a strategic and data first approach to marketing and promoting the Almeida and its work in order to deliver income targets in excess of £3 million in ticket sales each year.
- Build and diversify the audience who experience our artistic programme and increase engagement levels among those currently least engaged in arts and culture.

CRM:
- Lead on management of Almeida’s central CRM database, Tessitura, and act as principal point of contact with Tessitura for all system maintenance, development, and upgrades.

About Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join our Care Team at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child has died. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
Our Care Events Team provide an extensive programme of groups and events for the 800 life-limited children, their families and bereaved families. There are themed family events, social groups for siblings of different ages, pamper days for mums, counselling groups, bereavement café, memorial days and many festive events such as ice-skating at Hampton Court. Taking place at our hospices and in the communities we serve, there are 5-6 events each week, offering important opportunities for families to make memories together.
About the role
The Care Events Manager is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the annual programme of events. The Care Event Manager leads the Care Events Team, including an Events Assistant, Events Management Intern, Counsellor and care events volunteers, and working with family support workers, children’s therapists and counsellors to deliver an incredible programme of creative and inclusive experiences. The Care Events Manager works alongside the Lead Therapist and Lead Counsellor to ensure that family support at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is everything the children and families need it to be.
At a weekly meeting, the team are made aware of children and family members who are struggling and think together about where they might benefit from the opportunity to spend time with others who share similar experiences or receive group therapy. Utilising professional events management skills, each event is planned meticulously to be a safe and inviting space. Providing this opportunity for families is integral to their mental wellbeing.

This role requires an individual with professional events management experience, with a proven track record of executing high-profile and bespoke events. The individual should have skills in marketing, events administration and able to create events for families from diverse backgrounds. Excellent project management skills are required to keep the fast-paced programme on track, alongside diligence in health and safety. Leadership and management expertise enable the team to thrive, so that we can provide outstanding support to families. The Care Events Manager should be a compassionate and caring individual, sensitive to the needs of families at Shooting Star, with the emotional resilience to work with families who are experiencing grief and trauma. We're looking for a dynamic, community focused manager to lead our Hub operations, staff and volunteers. You'll shape service, connect wityh local groups and ensure the highest standards of hospitality and care. As the manager, you will report to the Trustees and have the opportunity to develop the centre to cater for needs in the community.
This is a full-time (38 hours per week) position with the usual holiday/pension benefits with the full job description detailed on the Application Pack available on request from the Hub.
