This is a key role within the Engagement Directorate at Blind Veterans UK as we are working through a new strategy which ensures we become data and insight led and put our audiences at the centre of all our communication. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to help revolutionise how Blind Veterans UK conducts data selections and to play a key role in producing actionable insights as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of complex database extracts from Raiser’s Edge using FastStats, ensuring all data selections are delivered to a high standard for communications to Blind Veteran UK supporters. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. The critical element to this role is developing a campaign planning process that embeds a test and learn culture and drives innovation and improvement in our communications.
You will work with the Insight Manager and wider Engagement (fundraising and Comms & Marketing) Team to implement journeys and automations to improve second gift rates and drive sustainable income.
As well as leading on data selections, you will manage the insight planning and request project boards, working with the Insight Manager to respond to both ad-hoc insight requests and longer term insight projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role - what you'll be doing:
- Lead on data selections. Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines.
- Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload.
- Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief.
- Work with the Insight Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust.
- Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements.
- Work with the Insight Manager to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with.
- Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections.
- Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focussed on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making.
- Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities.
- Work with the Insight Manager and Data Management functions to ensure the necessary data is being captured and is accurate, to enable campaign analysis to be conducted.
- Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files.
- Build and monitor supporter journeys for all data cohorts, improving the process based on findings.
- Send email communications, including testing and implementation of dynamic content.
- Manage the insight request project boards, assist in responding to ad-hoc insight requests and work with the Insight Manager on larger insight projects.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)
The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.
Reporting to: Partnerships Manager
Key responsibilities
1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.
2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.
3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.
4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.
5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.
6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.
7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.
8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.
9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to other charities in Romania and approx 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. Job Overview:

As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Sales and Marketing to lead and oversee the integrated marketing and sales strategies for both our charity initiatives and trading arm. This role is essential to advancing our revenue generation, building strong relationships with supporters, and amplifying our mission-driven goals. Position Overview:
The Head of Sales and Marketing will provide strategic leadership for all marketing and sales efforts across both the charity’s operations and its trading arm. Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Integration
- Develop and implement an integrated sales and marketing strategy for both the charity’s mission-driven goals and its commercial activities. Ensure the strategy drives the growth of both revenue from trading and funds raised for the charity’s projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set clear, actionable goals for both the charity’s impact and its trading arm’s performance, aligning these objectives with broader organisational priorities.
- Analyse market conditions and trends, including competitor analysis, to identify opportunities and optimise marketing efforts, ensuring we remain agile and responsive to market demands.
- Lead the development of annual marketing plans, considering key events, fundraising activity, the academic calendar, and product launches for the trading arm.

- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including digital content, print materials, advertising, and promotional campaigns that resonate with both sponsors and customers.
- Guide the development of integrated marketing campaigns that incorporate both charity-related content and the trading arm’s product offerings, reinforcing the message of social good while promoting commercial activities.
- Supervise digital marketing efforts, including website optimisation (SEO), social media strategies, and email marketing, to increase traffic, raise awareness, and drive conversions for both donations and product sales.
- Enhance public relations efforts, cultivating strong relationships with media outlets to ensure positive press coverage of both the charity’s work and the trading activities.
3. Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
- Develop and drive sales strategies for the charity’s trading arm, including pricing, promotions, customer segmentation, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the education team to create and market new product lines or services, ensuring they align with the charity’s values while meeting the needs and preferences of customers.
- Oversee the development and execution of sales funnels and customer acquisition strategies to increase conversion rates, sales volume, and customer retention.
- Implement loyalty and retention programs that encourage repeat purchases from customers of the trading arm and foster long-term engagement.

- Utilise customer relationship management (CRM) systems to create tailored communication plans and deepen engagement with both sponsors and customers, encouraging more frequent and larger sponsorship or purchases.
- Foster a community of loyal supporters and customers, turning first-time buyers into repeat purchasers, and sponsors into long-term, committed advocates.
- Design campaigns that target both customers and sponsors, converting customers into sponsors by emphasising the positive social impact of their purchases, and vice versa.
5. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead a dynamic team of sales, marketing, and digital professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the marketing and sales teams, with a focus on creativity, accountability, and shared success.

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the marketing and sales efforts across the charity and trading arm, with a strong focus on return on investment (ROI) for campaigns and product sales.
- Regularly analyse marketing data, tracking performance across channels, evaluating campaign results, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for future growth.

- Oversee the marketing and sales budget for both the charity and trading operations, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to maximise both financial contribution and the nasen’s mission.
- Monitor expenditure to ensure all campaigns are delivered within budget, making recommendations where necessary and full analysis on ROI.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a senior sales and marketing role, ideally with experience managing both non-profit and commercial sales efforts.
- Proven track record of successfully leading integrated marketing campaigns and driving revenue growth in both the charity and ecommerce sectors.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, including pricing, product development, customer acquisition and retention.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, managing external agencies, and collaborating with senior leadership to meet organisational goals.

Executive Assistance

Provide comprehensive diary management for the CEO (and broader leadership team where required), including scheduling meetings, coordinating agendas, and organising travel arrangements.

Act as a key point of contact among stakeholders, managing relationships and communications with tact and professionalism.

Support the CEO in managing relationships with the Duke of Sussex’s office (Archewell) and other high-profile partners.

Oversee logistical arrangements for events, meetings, and speaking engagements, ensuring seamless execution.

In busy times, assist in triaging the CEO’s inbox, helping to draft responses, prioritise communications, and ensure timely follow-ups.

Book Executive Leadership Team (ELT) business travel arrangements, including flights, transportation, accommodation and planning for dietary needs to be met.

Liaise with other staff and board members on behalf of the CEO / leadership team, when appropriate.

Assist in accurately and succinctly minuting meetings on behalf of the CEO where required.

Conduct research where required on sustainability and travel-related topics, synthesising insights to inform decision-making and communications.

Prepare briefing documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Comprehensive use of G-Suite, Mailchimp, Miro, Slack and Salesforce. Use of project management software such as Notion also an advantage.

Act as a culture ambassador, proactively fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture.
IAG Support

Prepare, support and debrief IAG meetings and any IAG sub-task groups, and manage records and distribution of key advice and decisions.

Follow up with internal teams on the impact of advice given.

Manage scheduling, support with invoicing, etc.

Monitor IAG governance processes and performance, and make recommendations for improving processes.

Run the project management side of the IAG (e.g. Notion, weekly goals spreadsheet).
Event Management

Alongside other assisting team members, play a central role in external event management and coordination e.g. of Global Convening. Coordinating logistics inclusive of travel and accommodation, as well as overseeing communications, agenda, activities and all food and beverage.

Logistical coordination for speaking engagements at events, such as GBTA/COP etc, and co-ordinating meetings/dinners and/or coalition workshops, where possible.

Plan, organise, and execute sustainable virtual and hybrid events such as webinars, workshops, team socials, regular secretariat meetings, conferences including Secretariat off-site events.

The Opportunity

About the role
We’re seeking an exceptional and experienced project manager to deliver a pivotal role within our ground-breaking national Kinship Training and Support Service, funded by the Department for Education.
This is our largest contract, and this role is key to enabling our organisational activity. The service offers over 300 online and in-person training events and workshops per year, tailored to meet the specific needs of kinship carers. We need to ensure at least 4,600 kinship carers attend.
You’ll be accountable for successful project delivery, working with executive project sponsors (Chief Operating Officer and Services and Digital Director) and workstream leads (Associate Directors and Heads of departments) to deliver KPI’s to deadlines, escalating and managing risks early.
The type of person we're looking for
You’ll have extensive experience in successful delivery of complex projects that include multiple workstreams and a range of internal and external stakeholders, with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Through your experience of planning, monitoring and controlling project delivery, you’ll quickly set up the necessary systems and processes for success.

Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with project sponsors, steering group and core team to be accountable for delivery of the programme project KPIs.
- Use a flexible and collaborative approach to set up, deliver and mobilise projects ensuring delivery of vision, aims and objectives.
- Ensure full project documentation, robust project initiation and effective project management and processes ensuring key activity is on track.
- Quickly build detailed project and workstream plans on our project management tool (Asana), ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and supporting colleagues to use the tool effectively.
- Manage multi-department core team including consultants and agencies ensuring they are motivated and working well.
- Set up and implement processes and procedures for successful delivery.
- Support and work with all the workstream leads and deliver integrated plans across the service, focusing teams on what is most important for delivery to meet targets.
- Effectively manage internal and external project communications.
- Establish project documentation across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure
Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience include:
Project Management qualification or commensurate experience.
- Extensive project management experience in planning, documenting and managing complex project set-up and execution and monitoring performance through the project lifecycle.
- Significant working experience of successful project delivery through effective management of risks, costs, time and milestones.
- Ability to influence others, communicate effectively and build collaborative and productive relationships, internally and externally.
- Proven ability to interpret and transmit the needs of the technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to solve issues quickly, efficiently and creatively.
- Self-starter who can take the initiative and shape project
- Impressive time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within the AAT. Our team is small, but mighty. Our current S&O team is made up of three part-time support and outreach workers some of whom have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will bring the process, structure and programme-oriented approach to our successful range of support services. You will be helping to give people living with aplastic anaemia access to better information, better networks and better ways to advocate for themselves.
This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately. You will work 35 hours a week, and we encourage flexible working. However, the team does generally operate during core office hours (between 9am to 5pm) and there are regular team meetings on Thursdays.
