As a Housing Officer, you'll play a crucial role in providing support to clergy preparing for retirement. About you
You will need to be comfortable working flexibly as part of a team and able to prioritise your own working. You'll have experience of working in and delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service within a customer-focussed organisation, and will be familiar with various housing options and solutions. You'll also need a good working knowledge of Housing Law as it applies to tenancies.
Other key requirements include:
- communication skills with the ability to engage with our customers professionally and with empathy in person, on the phone and in writing;
- of creating and building partnerships with other agencies to support service delivery;
- in using Microsoft Office (including Outlook), and CRM systems.
A social care or housing management qualification is desirable, as is experience with housing management systems and a current driving licence.

Role Description

To help us with this important mission, we currently have vacancies for Grant Support Executives. Our Grant Support Executives form part of a pro-active, centralised function who support each other and work together to deliver the greatest impact wherever it’s needed the most.
The role includes carrying out the assessment of capital and revenue grants; preparing and formatting assessment reports, drafting offer letters, processing claims and ensuring key information is captured within internal systems; connecting with applicants to arrange monitoring and evaluation meetings; and working together as part of a united team to provide administrative support across the Foundation - always delivering high levels of customer service.

What are we looking for?
We would love to hear from you if you have an understanding of grant application processes and governance, coupled with knowledge of how sport can be used for community benefit. You will also need experience of working with office administration systems, delivering effective administration support to a varied team, and communicating with colleagues and customers remotely.
We’re looking for a team player with a keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills who takes pride in delivering excellent customer and administrative service.
You don’t need to follow football to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. The Supporter Relations Team plays a pivotal role in building relationships with our supporters and assisting our fundraising team to raise vital funds that will support our mission to beat blood cancer within a generation. The main purpose of this role is to lead and develop the Supporter Relations Team to deliver excellent customer service to our supporters from the beginning of their journey with Blood Cancer UK. Our processes need to be as efficient and effective as possible to get the best from our supporters.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. The post holder will take responsibility to help build lasting relationships with our supporters through written and verbal communication and ensure efficient administration of donations and maintaining accurate data on our CRM system. They will also maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement both within the team and the wider organisation.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent IT skills and a customer focussed approach to join our friendly IT department. Providing effective and efficient support across the service, this varied role would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set or progress their career in IT.
Whilst in the role you will;
- diagnose and resolve technical issues via telephone, email or Service Desk and redirecting where necessary
- provide guidance and training to users on how to use various software applications, tools and systems effectively
- assist with the installation, configuration and deployment of software applications and hardware devices
- contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and procedures
About you
We are seeking someone who has a solid understanding of IT systems, networks, hardware and software by working in a technical support role or similar. The IT team provide support to both employees and learners, therefore you will require a positive attitude, excellent communication skills as well as empathy and understanding of users’ perspectives and capabilities. The successful candidate will be required to manage and maintain our service helpdesk so if you are familiar with ticketing systems for logging and tracking incidents and requests then we would like to hear from you!
You will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car as you will be required to troubleshoot and install hardware at our external locations across Herts and Essex. Mileage will be paid!

We are looking for a Welsh speaking Funding Officer to join our team in Wales. This is a permanent, full-time post (open to a conversation on flexible working and job share)
Depending on your location and preference, you will be based in either the Cardiff or Newtown office. You are welcome to be based in the office full time, or a combination of home and office working. You will need to travel within Wales to work with community groups and charities, and to other offices across the UK to work with colleagues.
As a Funding Officer serving our Mid & West Wales region, (Bridgend, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Powys and Swansea) you will:
- Assess requests for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making. By working closely with people and communities, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.
- You will be responsible for supporting local people and communities in Ceredigion, and have a strong understanding of our vision, being able to adapt your approach to the wishes of the people you are working with.
- You’ll also need to support our stakeholders, helping them to make connections that will help them achieve their goals.
- You will be responsible for the pipeline of projects in Ceredigion, understanding and responding to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback, and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
- Funding Officers will ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.
- You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.
