An exciting opportunity has arisen in East Sussex for a highly motivated and committed Family Worker to build on a well-established commissioned service.
About the Role:
Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and family friends who are caring for children when their parents can’t.
We’re seeking an experienced Family Worker who is passionate about supporting kinship carers to get the right support at the right time. We are looking for someone who has the interpersonal and partnership skills to perform their role sensitively and creatively while also meeting reporting and impact requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with East Sussex County Council and will share their ambition to support families to keep their children safe through support, advice and guidance.
You’ll be delivering our Kinship Connected programme offering support to special guardians and other kinship carers, providing emotional and practical support to carers in their homes and in the community over a six-month intervention cycle. You’ll also connect them with other kinship carers through peer support groups, as well as supporting to unlock community assets.
This is a role where you’ll need to have strong boundaries and personal resilience – which we’ll also support through development and reflective practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Practical and emotional support to kinship carers virtually or in-person in their home or community.
- Signposting or referring to relevant national and local services.
- Liaising with other professionals and organisations.
- Attending professional meetings when the carer needs extra support (e.g. CIN. CP, family group conference, school meetings).
- Making referrals to other Kinship services such as Advice, Someone Like Me, Peer-to-Peer.

About the role:
Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role.
As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.
Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site.
In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.
You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.
Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.
You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.
This role is about;
• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);
• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;
• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;
• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and

Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education. In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. This includes provision of nutritious school meals, school uniforms and shoes, learning equipment and feminine hygiene products. We also support initiatives focused on the empowerment of the wider family unit of each supported child, such as providing workshops on parenting skills, sustainable food production, nutrition, entrepreneurship, and business skills. To further support this, we work with our partners on infrastructure development projects which have the potential to transform the local community and deliver increased self-sufficiency and sustainability.
The charity is seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager to support the programme of work. The successful candidate will be one of only two paid employees, working with the Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development.
Job Description
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.

This role is envisaged as permanent part time for 30 hours per week over a minimum of four days. Role purpose:

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver an effective email CRM programme for ZSL and its Zoos (London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo) across the broad range of audience groups (zoo visitors, donors, members, experience bookers, etc.). The aim is to continuously grow customer acquisition, engagement, value and loyalty as part of an overarching Supporter Journey that has the customer experience at its heart.
Your key responsibilities:
- Design and build on-brand email marketing campaigns from end to end. Including copywriting, building emails on Dotdigital, sending campaigns and manage A/B and MVP testing strategy to ensure continuous optimisation of email campaigns.
- Own the overall email campaign plan and delivery, working with audience owners across ZSL to manage email communications, providing guidance and best practice.
- Analyse and segment customer data and maximise this data to deliver effective targeted activity, managing the quality and frequency of messaging. Use this insight to identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling programmes.

The Operations Manager is responsible for Dose of Nature’s day-to-day operational management, providing a welcoming and efficient front face and ensuring organisational effectiveness to support the delivery of Dose of Nature’s strategic objectives. Dose of Nature is in an exciting phase as we continue to receive greater funding to expand our reach. Dose of Nature is a mental health charity whose objective is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals through increased engagement with the natural world. Our work is rooted in a wealth of scientific evidence that demonstrates the physiological and psychological benefits of spending time in nature. We deliver ‘nature prescriptions’ to people referred by their GP with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme is overseen by psychologists and is a genuine alternative to both medication and more traditional psychological interventions. Through a combination of education, first-hand experience, and practical and motivational support, we aim to encourage a greater connection with nature, and inspire lifestyle changes that will have a significant and lasting impact on mental wellbeing. Role: Centre Manager
Salary: £32,000

Scope and Purpose:
As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the property, grounds and vehicles and manage the on-site facilities team and volunteers, leading them to support & deliver an exceptional Go Beyond experience for children who come on our Breaks. These are residential breaks for small groups of children aged 8-13, who stay with us Monday to Friday during most weeks throughout the year. Delivery of the breaks will be managed by the Team Leader and their team.
You will ensure the centre is operated and maintained in accordance with all relevant legislation, making sure we are safe, secure, and compliant. We have ambitions to develop our site and you will help us with continual improvement and improving our environmental and sustainability practices.
The role includes the facilities management of the centre to facilitate delivery of daily operations, including children’s activities. We aim to maximise the use of the centre and generate income. Your role will be pivotal in raising our profile in the local community, encouraging people to use our centre, supporting potential events, third-party use of our facilities and including the small, self-contained cottage which we let.
You will lead the local team including; Team Leaders, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Centre Cook along with volunteers (including groups of corporate volunteers who help us with on-site tasks). Ensuring not only the buildings, grounds and on-site activity areas are always at their best and ready to be enjoyed but ensuring the centre is kept clean and welcoming for our visitors and that our children and receive a healthy, nutritious meal during their stay. · Satisfactory DBS check
· Previous experience in hard and soft facilities including land and fleet management
· Ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplined team
· Computer literate, use of Windows and Office software
· Ability to create reports, analyse data and provide feedback
· Experienced in Risk assessment and managing safe practice
· Understanding of safeguarding and welfare of children and staff
· Understanding of child-centred activities to develop confidence, resilience and communication skills
· Excellent communicator
· Problem solver
· Qualified first aider or willingness to be trained.
· Full Driving Licence

· Recognised Facilities Management Qualification
· Managing Safely, Risk & Project Management Qualifications
· Food Safety Qualification level 3
· Experience of working in child focussed environments.
· Previous budget management experience and can demonstrate commercial acumen
