About Alexandra Rose Charity
Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food, and our mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities whilst advocating for systemic change to address food insecurity and health inequalities.
Since 2014, ARC has pioneered the use of financial incentives to improve access to healthy food and combat food insecurity through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects. To date, we have supported over 11,000 families, including over 20,000 children, to access £3.5 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.
To deliver this scale, we work with 73 children and family centres and community organisations, 69 market traders and independent retailers, two fruit and vegetable vans and one fruit and vegetable delivery box scheme. We estimate that our projects have generated a total economic value added of almost £9 million for the local economies of the eight locations where we work: five London Boroughs, Barnsley, Liverpool and Glasgow.
As part of our new five-year strategy, we want to grow our reach and impact as part of a national movement where Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects are embedded in local and national policies and seen as a key intervention for transforming the diets of communities across the UK.
About the role
ARC is a data-rich organisation, having made significant progress in our data analytics activities in recent years. Using the CRM Socialsuite , we have developed sophisticated project performance dashboards, which are critical in supporting both our delivery and reporting efforts. Our servers are soon to be hosted in MS Azure, and we are planning to maximise the use of this platform in the coming years. We have also made considerable progress in evaluating and demonstrating the impact of our Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg projects. We have developed evaluation tools and theories of change to measure how our work improves the diets, health, and well-being of children, adults and families.
As we launch our new five-year strategy, we are looking for a passionate Data and Insights Officer who is committed to social change, health equity and inclusion, and can coordinate and develop our data analysis initiatives, as well as provide research and analytical support for our research and evaluation work.
Working closely with the Head of Operations and the Impact & Evaluation Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting the assessment and enhancement of the effectiveness of our projects as well as providing essential insights to support the strengthening of our fundraising and reporting efforts and project performance monitoring.
This role is pivotal in ensuring our strategies are data-driven, our outcomes are measurable, and our impact is effectively communicated to stakeholders, local authority funders, and the communities we serve.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our team with a range of administrative and project-based tasks. The Membership and Learning team is dedicated to developing, co-creating, and delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity and critical thinking in philanthropy and grant making. In this dynamic role, you'll be involved in organising conferences and meetings, hosting webinars, managing key projects, and building strong relationships across the network. Our members vary from very small teams with two or three staff to well established very well- resourced foundations. The Membership and Learning team are the contact point for all community foundations. You will be supporting the team to: answer members’ enquiries, champion best practice and raise standards.
Working closely with other teams including Communications, Business Development and Programmes, the Membership and Learning team has an oversight of all UKCF activity relating to our members.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in Edinburgh. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.
Project delivery at Port Edgar Boat Station takes place between 30th July 2025 and 1st August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery at Crosby, the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.
The On The Water project is running at two further sites in London and Birmingham for an extended delivery period. The post holder for Crosby will also support delivery at the other 2 sites outside of their own delivery period where needed. This may be virtual administration support or require travel where expenses are paid.

- Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
- Making new and repeat bookings
- Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets

Purpose of the role

The type of person we’re looking for:
You will enjoy working with numbers and with people. You will be excited by using data to derive insights and have some experience of using large datasets to inform other stakeholders. Intellectually curious, you will enjoy both working independently to conduct analysis and working with others to access data and share actionable insights.
We have access to a unique dataset within the kinship care space, and we want to use these data to better drive change – including how we develop and deliver our services, how we influence policy and practice informed by evidence, and how we use the experiences of kinship families to drive positive change.
You may want to work remotely or spend 1-2 days in our London office to spend time with colleagues.
Key responsibilities:

Data management: Bring together data securely from multiple sources such as Salesforce, Form Assembly, Engaging Networks and spreadsheets – helping to ensure it is clean and easy to work from.

Data analysis and reporting: Conduct statistical analysis on datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for service improvement, policy formation and evidence building. Present findings through reports, dashboards, and visualisations.

Performance tracking: Assist in tracking and evaluating the success of charity programmes by working with teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing practical actionable recommendations for improvement.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience include:

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. This position will focus on delivery of the Preventing Intimate Partner Abuse (“PIPA”) course – comprising individual and group sessions - and working closely with Thames Valley Police. RISE has also developed a range of Out of Court Resolution interventions for a range of offences, which are delivered online and in person, which the postholder will deliver. These include group and one-to-one courses to address a range of specific types of offending, including domestic abuse, inappropriate sexual behaviours, hate crime, assault on emergency workers, as well as other types of offences, and any new interventions developed in the coming years. This may include acting as a single point of contact to secure the offender’s engagement, working alongside other partners to address the offender’s needs, with the aim of eliciting behaviour change and reducing reoffending
Groupwork/one-to-one delivery:
· Deliver a range of short interventions which include group work, one to ones, embedding in a multi-agency approach to domestic abuse in the area.
· Manage cases with a range of complex needs and behaviours.
· Ensure delivery is in accordance with tasks outlined in the RISE Domestic Abuse Perpetrator manual and process mapping.
· Undertake holistic assessments that identify risk and protective factors, and develop bespoke support plans.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

The successful candidate will join our busy Governance team, reporting to the Head of Governance and working closely within a core team of two officers and two senior officers.
As a Senior Governance Officer, you will provide high quality governance support to the senior executive, Board and Committees as well as other stakeholders across the Fund engaging pro-actively with other teams and stakeholders across the Fund. You will have a good understanding of governance in the public or voluntary/charity sector and be able to quickly familiarise yourself with the Fund’s complex governance framework. You will be expected to use your knowledge and judgment to provide prompt and high-quality advice and feedback.
You will show leadership in identifying, implementing, and maintaining effective governance processes and best practice, bringing changes where needed.
A team player you will take pride in your work and the work of the Governance team.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- You will work strategically, managing complex meeting schedules and governance processes.
- You will be attentive to the needs of the business and be customer focussed.
- You will ensure Fund governance processes and procedures are proactively and effectively managed and supported.
- You will establish strong networks across the Fund to ensure you understand and respond to the needs of stakeholders.
- You will be able to write clear information and minutes in a prompt manner.
- You will be recognised across the Fund as a reliable resource on governance matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
- You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, work autonomously, and consistently deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- You will provide advice to Governance Officers and support their development.
The ideal candidate:
- You will have experience of working in governance, or a governance-related position.
- You will be reliable, highly responsive, flexible and maintain high attention to detail and pro-actively identify and address gaps.
- You will be able to manage multiple priorities, handling complex schedules, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- You will have excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to a range of customers including senior stakeholders.
- You will be experienced and skilled in writing quality meeting minutes promptly after meetings.
- You will have the ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
The role is hybrid and UK based. However you will be able to travel to London for team’s meetings and occasionally to other locations within the UK to support governance meetings when required.
Interview Date: 27th May onwards - two stage - online/face to face
Location: UK - Hybrid working with a requirement to occasionally travel to the London office and other locations in England and across the UK to support meetings when needed. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Newtown

Essential criteria
- Demonstrate a good understanding of governance processes and requirements through prior experience working in a similar role in the public or voluntary/charity sector.
- Have strong communication skills, verbal and written, and excellent organisational skills.
- Have experience in supporting and engaging with senior stakeholders, with the ability to show initiative and lead in some areas of work.
- Demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach and the ability to think innovatively to solve problems.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of public sector governance and environment.
- Experience in working collaboratively within a team and supporting others.
- Understanding of project management.
