Cyber Security Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a leading NFP client based in London, with a hybrid working policy of 1 day a week in their Canary Wharf offices. This is a great opportunity to join a growing cyber security function to protect their systems and data. It is vital to have experience across the whole cyber scope to include monitoring systems & networks, threats, investigating incidents etc.
As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise across Cyber Security including working with technologies and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2 and NIST. This role will require a heavy hands on technical expertise with Mircrosoft technologies including Defender and Sentinel. It will be beneficial for you to have undertaken certifications such as CISSP & CISM. On top of this, it is important to have worked in organisations gaining expertise across on prem networking and cloud technologies.
Skills required for the Cyber Security Engineer:
- Industry recognised certifications such as CISM, CISSP, Azure AZ-500 and AWS-SCS-C02
- Knowledge of Network Security, Firewalls, Load Balancers & Endpoint Security
- Knowledge of cloud security within Azure & AWS environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, methods, technologies, and standards like NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001
- Microsoft technology stack including Defender and Sentinel
Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in London
Salary: £47,000 - £66,000 per annum plus benefits

The role
As a member of our corporate services directorate, you will be proactive in maintaining quality and high availability IT systems by providing first and second-line IT support to over 350 staff across 4 offices and around 200 associates in a smaller capacity. This includes user management, telephone system administration, backups, software compliance, hardware refreshes, documentation, and user training. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to hone and develop your IT skills through the learning and development opportunities that are available.
About you
As a key member of the IT team, you will be an active team player with the ability to engage with the people who use our IT systems. You will have sound problem-solving skills and be thorough in your approach with an excellent eye for detail. Highly organised, you will be able to manage your time and priorities well. We are mostly a Microsoft environment and you will be able to demonstrate the fundamental skills to go with that (Windows 10/11, Office 365 apps and administration with Active Directory). You will be able to troubleshoot basic network issues and manage corporate backup and antivirus solutions.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our London office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

This is a fantastic role working with a small team for a forward-thinking and ambitious charity. The role needs someone with a hands-on, positive attitude to getting things done, and working collaboratively to facilitate the provision of IT solutions which enable CILIP to harness the new capabilities of digital and data achieved through the Digital Improvement programme. The role needs someone adaptive, flexible, and able to lead/manage change. We are looking for an excellent IT professional who champions the use of technology to improve organisational performance and customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in delivering digital improvement programmes for organisations through proactive business partnering, and will possess integrity, resilience and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and external stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure smooth functioning of IT and digital systems across the organisation
- Provide user support, including issue resolution and proactive identification of issues
- Act as a digital champion, optimising existing and planned systems and platforms
- Assist in developing incident response procedures, disaster recovery plans and cyber security policies
- Work as part of the cross-organisational ‘digital team’ to integrate platforms, refine procedures and support departments in utilising IT tools effectively
- Prioritise data security and uphold the maintenance of system backups
- Maintain relationships with external IT support contractor, suppliers and supervise external engineers

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team on a 14 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You will be a highly organised, practical and friendly person to manage our office operations, the role is diverse and will suite an all-rounder who is proficient in multi-tasking and problem solving.
You will run a welcoming office for staff and guests and be encouraged to identify and work on new operational projects that will enhance the organisation. You will be central point of contact for H&S and Facilities management, proactively overseeing all aspects of facilities maintenance and managing contractor relationships.
