About the role 

Volunteers are vital to Parkinson’s UK; they provide high valued support and services through local branches, groups and cafes. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to work directly with volunteers, together making a positive difference to the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s. 

You’ll act as the main point of contact and support for volunteers in local branches, groups and cafes. As part of an integrated regional team, you’ll contribute to shared plans and priorities. Working remotely and in person, you’ll provide the highest quality customer care and support volunteers in line with the charity’s governance requirements, as well as our policies and procedures. You’ll provide high quality business support to colleagues to promote volunteering opportunities and bring volunteers together in the local community.

What you’ll do:

• Provide excellent customer service to local group volunteers through remote and in-person support. 

• Be the main point of contact for colleagues seeking support to recruit volunteers in the community as part of a regional team. 

• Support volunteers to lead their groups in line with governance requirements through provision of information and relevant tools. 

• Support our local group volunteers with reviewing and planning their activities (including associated budgets). 

• Manage volunteer records using online tools such as the volunteer management system, local activities database, for example. 

• Support events and meetings which bring volunteers together in the community. 

• Promote and facilitate volunteer recruitment, induction and training to local volunteer roles. 

• Maintain relevant data on local group activities, or support lead volunteers to do so. 

• Produce regular reports for performance reporting and monitoring. 

• Collaborate and liaise with colleagues across the charity, as appropriate, to provide excellent customer service to volunteers in the community.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a passionate Engagement Manager to join our team. They will work as part of the national (and local London) Employee Volunteering team working with corporate clients and community partners, creating and delivering team and individual volunteering events.

About this key role

As Reception and Volunteer Pathway Lead, you will act as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment, and also manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence and maintain a tidy and accessible reception area.  You will also design and deliver a volunteer pathway programme for individuals returning to employment, which will include recruiting and onboarding volunteers with a focus on those who have been out of work and collaborating with internal departments to identify placement opportunities and role specifications.

The role

The trusts fundraising officer will report to the trusts dunfraising manager.

We are seeking an enthusiastic trusts fundraising officer to join our team to help deliver our ambitious plans for growth. This new role involves managing a warm portfolio of trusts and foundations and finding new prospective donors, submitting compelling applications and providing exceptional supporter experience.

Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-framed. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus on supporting people to share their experiences by working empathetically to gather and develop a diverse range of compelling personal stories on alcohol and alcohol harm, and working with colleagues to bring them to life across our channels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels. You will have responsibility for wider tasks across the team, including monitoring inboxes, creating reports and supporting colleagues flexibly, particularly during busier campaign periods.

About the Role

Sense is recruiting for a Supporter Services Assistant to join our fantastic Engagement Team in Kings Cross, London on a hybrid basis.  

The successful applicant will play vital part in the Engagement Department and the charity as a whole – it makes sure that supporters have an outstanding experience of supporting Sense and know how much they are valued. Your daily task’s are varied with a mixture of in-and-outbound calling, combined with essential administrative tasks like income processing or capturing important information about Sense’s supporters and their motivations to support the charity.  

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Accurately processing fundraising income, including cheques and cash, vouchers (CAF, KKL) direct debits, payroll giving and from online donation platforms (Just Giving, Virgin Money Giving, Facebook) within agreed timescales and in line with provided procedures.
• Create or amend supporter records on Sense’s Raisers Edge database, ensuring that all interactions between charity and supporter etc are recorded accurately and in line with best practice GDPR.
• Identifying opportunities for supporters to further engage with Sense and promoting them as appropriate to help deliver Fundraising department targets (such as sharing a supporter story with our Comms team).
• Work with other fundraising teams to ensure relationships with supporters are managed effectively, both by responding to enquiries promptly and by working to the agreed supporter communications plan. There is also the expectation to attend other teams’ meetings i.e. Community, Events, Philanthropy to understand what activity is happening across the charity. 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience of working in a customer or supporter service environment
• Administrative experience in a busy office environment
• Experience of using Raiser’s Edge or similar Customer Relationship Management database
• Outstanding customer service, an excellent telephone manner and ability to understand team needs to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially when entering data.
• Good working knowledge of MS office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Main Responsibilites:

Content Development & Design 

• Create high-quality digital and media learning materials, including guides, toolkits, presentations, eLearning modules and video resources tailored for creative professionals
• Translate complex topics into accessible, innovative and impactful learning content that supports a variety of professional development pathways and diverse audiences
• Use authoring tools (such as Articulate, Vyond, Canva, Thinkific etc.) to create interactive and visually engaging learning experiences, incorporating video, audio, and creative media
• Champion inclusion by ensuring all content reflects Artswork’s commitment to and standards of access, diversity, equality, inclusion and cultural relevance
• Upload, organise, and update course content on our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring resources are accessible, easy to navigate and up to date
• Utilise insights from post-training assessments, platform engagement metrics, and qualitative feedback to refine and enhance learning materials and evolve our offer 

 Collaboration & Team working 

• Work in collaboration with the Learning Development Manager, Professional Development team, subject matter experts, and clients to shape meaningful learning experiences

This role is central to ensuring that young people feel happy, listened to and secure while participating in NYO activities.
