Overall Purpose of the Head of Services

This new role reports to the Chief Executive and is a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  The role reflects planned development and expansion in the charity’s direct service provision including the development of a permanent Helpline following a pilot project in 2025.

As a small national charity, the role combines hands on operational delivery and management with strategic leadership and vision for our Information services, Helpline, and other support services. You’ll lead a talented team of five direct reports (with plans to further expand) and will design, deliver, and evaluate services working closely with Guts UK teams and colleagues, and with external partners.

You’ll be responsible for services strategy and leadership oversight, budget oversight, safeguarding leadership, and services evaluation, ensuring our work is grounded in evidence, shaped by lived experience, and built for impact.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

This role will support the delivery of the Royal Ballet School’s mission to train and educate classical ballet dancers to the highest possible standards and to provide an accessible resource for students, teachers and the wider community.

As a key part of the newly formed Development Team, the post will be supporting the team with engagement, cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects with a particular focus on those capable of making major gifts in the UK and internationally.

MAIN DUTIES:

Research and Briefings:

• Support with prospect research to identify and qualify potential funders (individuals, grant funders and corporate partners), both in the UK and internationally.
• Prepare high-quality briefing notes to support senior staff and trustees in donor meetings, cultivation activities, and solicitation efforts. 

Proposal and Presentation Preparation:

• Assist in drafting compelling fundraising proposals, presentations, reports and pitch materials tailored to potential supporters, ensuring alignment with the School’s values and funding priorities.

Administrative and CRM Support:

• Coordinate and minute internal team meetings and ensure actions are tracked and delivered on schedule. Act as Development lead on updating and maintaining the School’s CRM system with accurate and concise entries to track donor cultivation and stewardship, along with data import and export.

Corporate Partnership Delivery:

• Support the team to deliver corporate partnership benefits and reporting
• Support year round communications with relationship managers.

Meeting Support - Prospect Focus:

• Support the planning and delivery of cultivation meetings with prospective donors with a specific focus on the coordination of invitations, materials, and follow-up for prospects.

Proposal Tracking and KPI Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date records of proposals submitted, outcomes, and timelines, ensuring timely follow-ups and contributing to performance reports.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design and strategic direction of our Digital Skills programme, Ensure the service we are providing is high-quality, impactful, trauma-informed and aligned with Screen Share’s 2026–2030 strategy.

• Oversee the onboarding and support of hundreds of refugees looking to develop digitally, including supporting with the development of their Independent Learning Plan’s and journeys through Digital Champions

• Maintain oversight of multiple Screen Share digital skills projects delivered over multiple locations.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Marketing Manager - Fundraising Campaigns. We need you to support the Senior Manager to develop the product marketing strategy, plan, and budget for an exciting portfolio of Social Fundraising Challenges, Stand Up To Cancer, and DIY fundraising. Further to this, you'll manage the delivery of the product marketing plan, meeting KPIs, to time and budget.

What will I be doing?

• Supporting the Senior Manager to translate the Fundraising & Marketing operating plan and budget into a product marketing plan and budget

• Defining and developing the audiences and product offerings that need activating as part of this marketing plan and manage the development and delivery of cross-channel integrated briefs

• Managing the planning, set-up, delivery and analysis of integrated multi-channel campaigns that meet and exceed specific product KPIs

• Managing the content and creative production, testing and optimisation process, ensuring campaign assets are fully aligned with Brand messaging and other communications themes

• Working alongside the Senior Manager to motivate the Executives and matrix manage specialist Digital Marketing & Delivery teams to deliver activity across channels

• Collaborating with teams across Audience & Product Marketing to identify and implement strategic marketing opportunities and ensure holistic supporter journeys for product audiences

• Working with digital and data experts from across marketing and the wider organisation to improve communications and better engage our audiences

• Managing the continuous testing and analysis of campaigns, spotting opportunities to optimise ongoing activity and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns

• Working with the Insight team and Senior Marketing Performance Manager to drive development of the marketing strategy and feed learnings into the planning process.

What skills are we looking for?

• Significant experience translating marketing strategy into tactical delivery plans by channel, audience, and budget

• Significant experience overseeing the delivery of paid marketing campaigns

• Significant experience planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that meet campaign KPIs

• Strong understanding of end-to-end supporter journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns

• Relevant experience of managing and motivating agencies to drive maximum value from relationships

• Relevant line and matrix management experience with proven leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities for yourself and others

• Data-driven with a strong understanding of UX principles and relevant experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation

• Relevant experience of developing highly effective campaign assets for use across channels

• Excellent project management skills including resource and risk management

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Development and Alumni Relations team to help guide and deliver ourregular giving and stewardship programmes. The ideal candidate will have experience of running successful major fundraising appeals to large audiences. They will have the ability to draft persuasive and accurate copy to support both fundraising and stewardship literature. They will be highly motivated and creative, driving new initiatives to boost participation, increase overall giving, while also increasing retention of donors through an outstanding, tailored stewardship programme. They will be a team-player who can work autonomously when required, but can work collaboratively, and will support other team members with aspects of their work.

The Development and Alumni Relations Office leads the process of generating long-term and consistent voluntary income for Merchant Taylors’ School, and forrunning a comprehensive alumni and parental relations programme.

The Development Manager (Fundraising and Stewardship) will be responsible for planning, managing and having an input to the strategy for a regular giving programme at Merchant Taylors’ School, with a focus on increasing the participation (giving rates) of both our alumni and parental constituencies, as well as donor retention through planning and executing a stewardship programme for benefactors of all levels. Some face-to-face fundraising may also be required, particularly relating to legacy fundraising and the post-holder will build a portfolio of mid-level donors they will manage.

Royal Star & Garter are a charity that provides loving, compassionate care and support to veterans and their families, both in our Homes and through services that reach into the wider community. Following our recent merger with the Armed Forces charity Care for Veterans in Worthing, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Fundraising Assistant.

We are looking for someone committed to making a difference to our work and interested in developing a career in fundraising. We welcome experience gained outside the charity sector and are committed to supporting learning and development in this role.

This person must be passionate about delivering high levels of personalised care to a range of donors and have the ability to communicate effectively, while maintaining attention to detail to ensure the smooth delivery of the processes behind donor engagement. You must also be flexible and confident in providing wider support across the fundraising teams within the Royal Star & Garter group.

This is a hybrid role, with two days a week at our Worthing Home to build strong relationships and gain a deeper understanding of our work. There may also be occasional visits to outside events and to Royal Star & Garter’s other Homes as needed.

Purpose of the role

- To provide excellent customer care to all donors, delivering optimum supporter journeys working effectively with the wider team within the Royal Star & Garter (RSG) group 
- To manage all associated fundraising payment processes and procedures and work effectively with finance to manage safe and effective banking and reconciliations
- To provide fundraising support across the department and locations of our services in respect of a range of activities including fundraising events
- To support the High Value Events & Corporate Manager in time bound projects as and when necessary

Supporter care

- To be proactive in enabling the supporter journey with timely communications (phone, email and letters) and clear stewardship with both existing and new donors
- Ensure effective frontline support and response for donors across a range of incoming systems
- Ensure donation processes and procedures are adhered to and executed in a timely manner, in accordance with guidelines – updating those wherever required with approval by the RSG Fundraising Officer.
 
Donations and data entry

- Ensure that the fundraising CRM database is up to date and that supporters contact and financial data is accurate, including creating new records
- Complete weekly banking and allocation tasks in accordance with the approved process, liaising with the finance department to ensure that all batched income is allocated correctly
- Data inputting on the CRM to include: regular giving, importing income from external agencies including CAF and Just Giving, processing Gift Aid and accurately storing declarations
- Filing and management of paperwork, ensuring due diligence and security measures are followed.

Fundraising & volunteer support

- To provide active support to a range of events including: managing participants, sending information, monitoring online giving pages and on the day set up and pack down
- To directly source donated items and contributors to support fundraising events including raffle/auction prizes and coordinating suppliers, stallholders and entertainers 
- Coordinate and communicate with volunteers for events and corporate volunteering days and activities, ensuring they are briefed and supported
- To support any regular mailings or email contact to supporters, assisting with the cleaning and compliance of data once an agreed annual schedule is in place regular.

Other

- To manage all aspects of incoming fundraising post and dedicated inboxes along with outgoing mailings
- Ensure general department are kept up to date including attendance at meetings within RSG group wherever possible
- To be conversant with relevant fundraising legislation and the guidelines of the 
Fundraising Regulator and the GDPR
- To undertake other duties as may be required and which are consistent with the nature of the role.

Knowledge and experience:

- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, preferably within fundraising
- Good working knowledge of CRM database
- Experience of banking processes and consistent financial reconciliation 
- Ability to manage a busy workload meeting deadlines
- Experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team
- Experience of supporting fundraising events, including logistics and on-the-day delivery (desirable)
- Experience of coordinating or working with volunteers, including corporate groups (desirable).

 Skills:

- Excellent communication skills including written (and email) and on the phone
- Excellent attention to detail with a good eye for numbers 
- Excellent general IT skills including Word & Excel
- Good relationship building skills and an ability to work across teams creating strong internal networks
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a live event environment
- Confidence in engaging with a range of stakeholders, including participants, local businesses, and community groups.
