Job description

Youth Advantage UK is looking for two enthusiastic and inquisitive volunteer research assistants to join their growing team.
 

About YAUK

We are a not-for-profit organisation passionate about improving the lives of young people across the UK and believe that every young person should have the opportunity to succeed regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our work involves using up-and-coming research and advocacy to address issues affecting young people, such as climate change, unemployment and skills training, and inclusion and diversity. We are firmly committed to improving young people's lives and believe that our unique and successful approach to achieving our vision will change lives for the better.

Please note that this is a VOLUNTEER role.

We won't accept applications from individuals residing outside of the UK as we operate on the principle of bettering the lives of young people in the UK. Therefore, we require our volunteers to have an understanding of what it is like to live in the UK.

Responsibilities 

  • Analysing and collecting data on a variety of subjects that align with the organisation’s strategy, goals and objectives.

  • Assisting in the design and planning of projects and research work.

  • Writing and editing reports and presentations of findings and presenting them to others.

  • Recruiting study participants and scheduling their involvement 

  • Proofreading research reports.

  • Reading and summarising related articles.

  •  Following ethical guidelines.

  • Supporting the work of the Preliminary Research Team.

You will need:

  • To be a current undergraduate or graduate, or prior experience in research or equivalent

  • To be able to demonstrate a solid interest in research

  • A proven record of research experience within any area.
