SANE, a leading UK mental health charity, is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Individual Giving Manager to join our Fundraising team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative fundraising campaigns across multiple channels - including direct mail, digital, email and social media to grow our individual donor base, improve supporter retention, and increase legacy giving. Working closely with our digital, communications, and senior management team, you will manage regular giving programmes, design targeted legacy campaigns, and create compelling content to drive donations and deepen donor engagement. We are looking for a creative and strategic fundraiser or marketeer with a strong background in individual giving, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector. You should have experience running successful multi-channel campaigns, excellent copywriting and communication skills, and strong knowledge of CRMs such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge. Familiarity with legacy fundraising and UK fundraising regulations is desirable. Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Care and Engagement

· Frontline Supporter Engagement: You will be the first port of call for our supporters, managing inbound communications across phone, email, and various digital platforms.

· This includes warmly handling enquiries, taking and processing donations, and escalating complex issues to ensure a seamless and positive experience for everyone.

· Creative Communications & Gratitude: You will take the lead on thanking our supporters and making them feel valued.

· This involves drafting personalised acknowledgements, finding creative ways to share the impact of their support, and sending welcoming messages to new event participants.

· Collaborative Team Support: Act as a key support pillar for the Public Fundraising Team, especially during peak times and events.

Supporting Public Fundraising Campaigning and Administration

· Provide essential administrative support across the Events, Individual Giving, and Major Donor fundraising teams, contributing to the efficient operation of campaigns and activities.

· Work collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing, logging, and acknowledgement of incoming donations and fundraising income.

· Perform data entry tasks, including setting up new regular gifts, and creating and updating communication records within the CRM system (Access CRM).

· Support the administration and stewardship journeys for fundraising events, assisting with tasks such as registration support, participant communication, and logistics administration.

· Provide surge capacity support during busy periods, particularly for high-volume activities like Facebook Challenge moderation and campaign-specific administration.

· Assist with the preparation and mailing of supporter communications, appeals, and stewardship materials.

· Some on the day support for fundraising events and logistics planning and delivery. This may involve some work outside of core working hours for which TOIL would be available.

Collaboration and Operational Efficiency

· Work effectively within our evolving Agile framework, which empowers teams and individuals to work collaboratively with transparency, with key teams to plan, prioritise, and deliver high-quality supporter engagement activities.

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across all teams, including Public Fundraising, Resources, Patient Projects, Finance and Communications, to ensure a joined-up supporter experience.

About the role

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

You will work closely with kinship carers and colleagues across the organisation to understand the key challenges and opportunities with embedding participatory methods, including co-production and co-design, which improve Kinship’s work – right from the design and delivery of our advice and support services through to influencing policy and campaigning for change.

With support from colleagues, you will act as the key cross-organisational adviser on participation and involvement practice, supporting and empowering colleagues to develop the skills and knowledge they need to embed a consistent approach to the involvement of kinship carers to best suit the needs of their roles.

As an enthusiastic and engaging facilitator, and an advocate for participatory methods, you will sensitively and skillfully work alongside kinship carers and colleagues to deliver high quality involvement activity which supports the charity’s mission and aims. You will be establishing mechanisms to demonstrate the impact of local leadership and collective action for a locally led response.

You will position the HLA as a global thought leader in humanitarian learning, leveraging robust research and evidence to advance locally led solutions, influence sectoral policies, and promote innovative practices. You will do so using research to produce insight into emerging and future trends within the sector from a capacity strengthening and learning perspective, shaping the HLA's strategic direction.

You will also strengthen the HLA's impact and evidence work at the portfolio level by enhancing systems and providing strategic technical support. This includes driving a culture of accountability and embedding robust evaluation practices into all HLA activities. • Set direction and lead the development and implementation of the HLA's Impact, Research, and Evidence strategy to align with MEAL Frameworks, strategic objectives, and sectoral trends.

• Represent the HLA in evidence-focused global forums to promote thought leadership on humanitarian learning, locally led response, and innovation.

• Oversee the development, optimisation and performance of data platforms, including but not limited to the CRM to streamline integration between current HLA platforms to unlock greater insights.

• Drive the design and delivery of localised research and evidence products that address evidence gaps within the capacity-strengthening and leadership ecosystem.

• Develop robust data management systems to track and monitor insights and performance against organisational goals.

About you 

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

The role:

• Be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management within assigned Directorates, regularly reviewing this information with the senior management teams.
