This role requires travel to our housing schemes in Newmarket, with flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
About you
Prior experience in housing, property management, or a similar administrative role is highly desirable, particularly with exposure to repairs, voids, and compliance processes.
However, we recognise that excellent candidates don’t always follow a single career path. If you can demonstrate strong transferable skills such as managing complex workloads, liaising with customers and suppliers, and maintaining accurate records we’d encourage you to apply.
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but the following will help:
- Experience in housing administration, repairs coordination or compliance monitoring.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements for residential properties.

About The Job:
This is a vital role in delivering our fundraising strategy and goals. The role holder will be responsible for raising income from individuals and legacies and increasing the volume and value of our supporter relationships, engaging new audiences and driving sustainable income growth. Main Areas Of Responsibility:
Income Generation
· Lead on raising income to an agreed target, through acquisition, development and retention of individuals and legacy pledgers, as agreed with the Head of Fundraising and Communications.
Strategy
· Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to build and deliver a highly effective, sustainable, audience-centred public fundraising and supporter experience plan.
· Engage in market and supporter insight to inform decision-making and development of new activity/products.
· Develop a good understanding of our supporter base, their motivations and behaviours. Use our CRM database (Raisers’ Edge NXT) and data analysis and insights to inform the development of new fundraising campaigns and products.
· Take the lead role in the development of effective supporter journeys, working with the Community Fundraising Team to convert community fundraisers and events participants into regular donors.
· Lead the design and delivery of individual giving campaigns (including the Christmas campaign), using direct mail, digital marketing and advertisements to drive supporter acquisition and retention.
· Develop and design our legacy programme, working with Farewill and local law firms to encourage supporters to include Homeless Oxfordshire in their will.
· Work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to develop and deliver a mid-level giving programme, driving the major donor pipeline and effectively stewarding donors giving at the £300-£1,000 level.
Operational Delivery
· Be responsible for the setting and managing of budgets, targets and KPIs. Report on progress, trends and take action when required. Analyse results and evaluate activity to inform future plans.
· Act as the lead-user for Raisers’ Edge, supervise the Data Administrator to ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation, and support the team with reporting and data analysis.
· Work collaboratively to ensure that all income generation activity is integrated and opportunities for cross-team working are maximised.
· Develop processes that enhance the team’s capacity, efficiency, and ensure effective fundraising.
· Manage external partners and agencies involved in fundraising delivery, ensuring due diligence, high quality and effectiveness.
· Ensure the highest standard of supporter experience in order to make the most of every interaction.
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all areas of the public fundraising portfolio, including the Fundraising Code of Practice, Data Protection and Gift Aid. Model best practice and coach team member as required.
Leadership
· Line manage the Data Administrator, supporting them on reconciliation, data entry and gift processing.
· Provide management information for SMT and the Board of Trustees as requested and attending meetings when required.
· Build positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
· Represent the charity at external meetings as and when required.
· Engage with the wider charity sector, learning from peers and sharing best practice.

The Opportunity
As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme and Social Mobility Employer Index - how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation.
1. Delivery of the Social Mobility Employer Index
- Deliver the SMEI 2026, including but not limited to: marking entries, creating individual feedback reports for each entrant, creating sector reports for key industries, and gathering feedback to review and update the survey for 2027
- Maintain accurate and up to date information and process documentation, including the mark scheme used to mark entries, and the process followed to create feedback reports
- Support with the ongoing development of the digital platform, employer resources and online content, ensuring it is updated in line with the survey and delivers a smooth user journey
- Support with the annual monitoring and evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility
2. Stakeholder management and customer service
- Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to organisations entering the SMEI throughout the whole customer journey, e.g. preparing and sending regular communications and updates to prospective and live entrants, answering questions received into the SMEI inbox and troubleshooting independently
- Prepare and deliver feedback calls and presentations for organisations, including Lunch & Learns on social mobility, introductory calls on the SMEI, presentations and webinars about the SMEI, and providing detailed feedback calls on entrants’ performance in the SMEI
- Support with creating and developing assets and activities to market the SMEI and other products and services including webinars and social media assets
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as employers, policy experts and social mobility practitioners, to understand key issues and trends relevant to workplace social mobility
3. Quality standards
- Stay up to date with the latest research, evidence and on workplace and employer-led social mobility, communicating changes or updates with colleagues, as well as maintaining and updating the evidence base for the SMEI
- Support the annual evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility
4. Systems and processes
- Maintain accurate and up to date records, using SharePoint and our Salesforce CRM to support pipeline management, income tracking and partner records, namely for the SMEI

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is keen to develop their HR career in the charity sector to join our HR Team. You will play a vital role in supporting the close-knit HR function by carrying out a range of HR and recruitment administrative duties, assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

The role at a glance
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Start date: March/April 2026
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week across either 3 full days or 2 full days and 2 half days within our office hours which are 09:00-17:30, Monday-Friday.
The successful candidate must be available to work on Monday mornings and all day Friday due to operational need.

Eligibility for the role
In order to be eligible for the role, applicants must be able to demonstrate throughout their application that they have:

· Ensure all documentation is available as required and managed in line with GDPR requirements.
· Respond to general project enquiries and accurately take and relay messages to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

· Undertake a range of general administrative tasks as required to support the project.
· Contribute to internal and external information and communication activities.
· Ensure compliance with BVSC policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities.
· Support the development of internal policies and strategic planning.
· Keep up to date with strategic and policy issues affecting the voluntary sector and contribute to policy analysis where appropriate.

Asset Compliance Officer (Housing)
Part-Time – 3 Days per Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Compliance Officer to support the delivery of statutory compliance and cyclical safety programmes within a social housing environment.
This is a part-time opportunity (3 days per week) offering hybrid working and a competitive Umbrella rate.
The Role
You will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across building safety and asset compliance programmes. Working closely with contractors, internal teams and residents, you will help ensure statutory inspections, remedial works and certification are delivered on time and recorded accurately.
You will play a key role in maintaining compliance across core safety areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, legionella and lifting equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer cyclical compliance programmes and statutory inspections
- Schedule and allocate inspections to ensure timely completion
- Review and validate certification to ensure legislative compliance
- Maintain accurate compliance records and audit data integrity
- Raise and manage works orders, ensuring correct coding and contractor allocation
- Monitor remedial works and escalate where necessary
- Liaise with residents and contractors to secure property access
- Support legal access processes where statutory inspections are refused
- Monitor budgets, track spend and support financial reporting
- Produce accurate reports and meeting documentation
About You
You will have:
- Experience in asset management or building safety compliance within social housing
- Knowledge of one or more statutory compliance areas (gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella, lifting)
- Strong data validation and reporting skills
- Experience managing contractors and compliance documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Experience using compliance management systems (e.g. Asprey, Keystone or similar)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
