We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible person with lived experience of autism who is committed to supporting autistic people to work towards their individual goals. Lived experience refers to the first-hand involvement or direct experiences and choices of a given person, and the knowledge that they gain from it, as opposed to the knowledge a given person gains from second-hand source. 

Goals you may support clients to work on include: 

· Taking more control of their lives through gaining a greater understanding of their own wellbeing 

· Reducing feelings of isolation through building connections in the local community 

· Gaining confidence and an improved sense of wellbeing

You will use your own direct lived experience of autism, to work together with people to identify their wellbeing goals and find the right resources and support for their needs. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to using a strength based and client led approach. 

Experience of peer support is not essential; it is more important that you share our commitment to supporting people to achieve their personal and wellbeing goals. Peer support training will be provided. 

This is a hybrid role involving both working from home and working in the community.

About the Role

The Head of Maritime Administration will lead the London-based team responsible for providing reliable, high-quality administrative support to the ITF’s maritime sections, department and affiliates. For many disabled young people, accessing work experience can be challenging due to societal barriers, lack of support, and limited opportunities. Access Interns is designed to break down these barriers, ensuring that participants gain valuable work experience, professional skills, and industry connections to help them succeed in their chosen careers.

The Access Interns Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the ACCESS INTERNS programme, overseeing the internship placement process, employer engagement, and student support. This includes managing the selection process, coordinating placements, ensuring workplace accessibility, and tracking the programme’s impact.

The role also involves working closely with corporate employers to create inclusive work environments, supporting interns throughout their placements, and expanding engagement with schools, employers, and industry leaders to ensure disabled young people have equal access to high-quality career opportunities.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management

· Managing the Access Interns Programme, ensuring it is delivered to a high standard and in line with Variety’s policies and procedures

· Working with the Chief Executive Officer to set annual internship placement targets, manage the Access Interns budget and develop the Access Interns Programme.

· Overseeing the end-to-end process of the programme, from student recruitment and employer engagement to placement coordination and post-internship evaluation.

· Adhering to Variety’s Safeguarding policies and procedures and working with the Head of Programmes, by recognising that interns are vulnerable adults, and taking responsibility for their safety, welfare, and well-being throughout the programme.

· Identifying opportunities to expand and enhance the programme, ensuring it remains impactful, sustainable, and aligned with Variety’s strategic goals.

· Developing guidance materials, training sessions, and workshops to prepare students for internships and support their professional growth

· Working with the Programme’s team to input & manage programme data and reporting.

· Tracking and reporting on Programme Impact and analysing data to ensure continuous improvement.

Logistics and Coordination

· Coordinating interview schedule, employer meeting, and onboarding sessions to facilitate successful placements.

· Managing communication with interns, employers, schools, and other stakeholders, ensuring all parties are well-informed and supported.

· Organising online disability awareness training for corporate employers as part of the onboarding process, ensuring employers understand best practices for supporting disabled interns and creating accessible workplaces.

· Ensuring all necessary documentation, contracts and agreements are completed and maintained in line with Variety’s Policies and Compliance standards.

Budget and Income Generation

· Managing the Access Interns Programme budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.

· Generating income from the programme, including securing corporate partnerships and funding opportunities to sustain and expand Access Interns.

· Working closely with the fundraising team to assist in converting Access Intern partners into Corporate Donors for Variety’s wider work.

· Working with the Chief Executive Officer to set financial targets and explore additional funding streams.

· Monitoring expenditure, tracking income, and providing financial reports on programme performance.

Student Outreach & Support

· Manage the application and selection process, ensuring fair and transparent recruitment.

· Working closely with students to support their career development, including

- CV writing and cover letter workshops

- Interview preparation sessions

- Professional skills training (e.g. workplace etiquette, communication skills, and confidence-building)

- One-on-one mentoring and guidance

· Provide guidance and support to interns throughout their journey, from pre-placement preparation to post-internship follow-up.

· Responsible for marketing to schools and colleges to increase awareness and participation.

· Ensuring students understand their rights and workplace accommodations, advocating for inclusive and accessible internships.

· Visiting schools and colleges to promote the programme, engage with students, and increase participation from disabled young people.

Employer Outreach & Support

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate employers to ensure a positive and productive experience for employers participating in the programme.

· Acting as the primary point of contact for employers, providing guidance and support throughout the internship process.

· Working with employers to develop meaningful internship opportunities, ensuring placements align with both business needs and student development goals

· Addressing any challenges or concerns that arise during placements, acting as a mediator where necessary.

· Delivering pre-placement briefings for employers, setting expectations and promoting inclusive hiring practices

· Gathering feedback from employers to continuously refine and improve the programme.

Customer Service and Administration

· Working with Operations Team and external partners to devise and deploy scalable on-boarding and internship management systems.

· Providing excellent customer service to applicants and prospective applicants, giving advice and guidance over the phone, in person and via email.

· Collecting and collating impact and monitoring data.

· Providing administrative support for other Programmes depending on workload, capacity and department demand.

Other Duties and Partner Support

· Assisting with events, reporting, and stakeholder engagement related to Variety’s wider mission and partner organisations.

· Collaborating with internal and external teams to support strategic initiatives that align with the goals of the Access Interns Programme.

General Responsibilities

· Negotiate placements and work collaboratively with employers to ensure meaningful learning experiences for interns.

· Applying knowledge of disabilities, relevant laws (e.g. Equality Act 2010), and reasonable adjustments to ensure that both interns and employers receive the necessary support for a successful and inclusive internship experience

· Expand the programme’s employer network, targeting organisations in corporate sectors to enhance placement opportunities.

· To work cross functionally with other departments, regions and countries.

· To achieve the highest standards of safeguarding for the young people who complete a corporate internship by Variety by complying with all appropriate Policies and Procedures.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

• Proven experience in managing programmes or projects, including planning, delivery, and evaluation.

We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our Youth Work team, working both on the Roundhouse Studios front desk as well as on our youth focused projects. This will include administrative and front facing duties. You will be responsible for supporting and encouraging a diverse range of young people (in particular those with multiple and complex needs) aged 11-25 to engage in opportunities at the Roundhouse and assist with pastoral support.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working alongside young people aged 11-25 years old in informal educational or youth work settings. Candidates should have knowledge and experience of safeguarding young people and be confident in speaking to young people effectively. About Bright Futures UK

 Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group activities including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy initiatives. Working with hospitals, families, and partner services, we make sure children and young people experiencing health-related challenges are not left behind.

Role Overview

Provide an adaptable programme and volunteer support across referral intake, onboarding, delivery, safeguarding, and impact. The postholder will be placed on a primary track that suits their strengths and the organisation’s needs, while contributing to core team tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Move children and young people or volunteers smoothly through referral or onboarding steps and keep them informed at every stage.
• Maintain clear, accurate records in our CRM and task systems, meeting GDPR and safeguarding standards.
• Coordinate logistics such as calls, meetings, sessions, and training, including invitations, reminders, and attendance records.
• Complete required paperwork and checks.
• Build positive relationships with families, hospitals, schools, partners, and volunteers through timely, friendly communication.
• Monitor progress against timelines, identify bottlenecks or risks early, and work with colleagues to resolve them.
• Escalate safeguarding concerns promptly in line with policy and contribute to safe, trauma-informed practice.
• Prepare and share resources and updates, and support basic reporting by tracking outputs, outcomes, and feedback.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Demonstrated ability to hold sensitive conversations in a trauma-informed, empathetic and professional way
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and ethical practice
• Proficiency in using digital systems and confidence in learning new tools (e.g. Better Impact, Asana, Canva)

Desirable:

• Experience working with or supporting children and young people with complex needs, including health, SEND or mental health challenges
• Experience working in a charity, school, hospital or youth work setting
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and inclusive practice
• Experience supporting or supervising team members
• Mental Health First Aid

The Unifrog platform

Over the last 12 years, the Unifrog platform has grown enormously from its starting point as a simple tool to help students pick their UK university courses and apprenticeships. It now helps young people from 4 years old up to explore their interests, record the great things they’ve done, compare every post-16 and post-18 course in the UK and every undergraduate programme taught in English in the world, find and organise work experience, and draft their application materials. The platform also helps teachers and career advisers to guide students every step of the way, makes it easy for parents to explore the platform via their own accounts, and helps employer and university recruitment teams to interact directly with students. 

We have a long list of exciting projects for the platform, always aiming to achieve our mission. We are looking for someone to join Unifrog’s team to help us continually improve the platform’s existing tools, and to also develop new ones. 

What you’ll do

You’ll work on improving the platform itself, from how things work behind the scenes, to the user experience and how the tools work and look.

This role does not involve coding - instead you’ll develop and design clear ideas and plans with Unifrog’s two co-founders, and with other colleagues involved in platform development, and then you’ll work with our lead programmer to make them happen.

You will become an expert in:

• The needs of all our different user types, including students, teachers, school groups, universities, employers, and parents

• How to navigate the platform as a user of each type

• How the Unifrog platform works behind the scenes

You’ll be part of the team that:

• Collates feedback on the platform, deciding which changes to move ahead with, and how
   

• Comes up with and designs ideas for platform improvements

• Develops and designs completely new tools

• Investigates potential bugs and comes up with suggested solutions

• Communicates platform changes to the Unifrog team

• Answers queries about the platform from colleagues

 

Working together

You’ll regularly be working with:

• Unifrog’s two co-founders and other colleagues involved in maintaining and developing the platform – in particular our data and content teams – to come up with improvements to the platform and to develop new projects

• Our lead programmer to implement ideas

• User-facing colleagues to understand what our users are asking for, as well as communicate to them what things have changed on the platform

• (More occasionally, but especially at the beginning) our users, when you need to have a greater understanding of a particular topic

You will be line-managed by Unifrog’s two co-founders.

 

Skills and characteristics

We are looking for an independent worker with design skills, who is a great problem solver and is motivated to find an elegant solution, whatever the issue.

Design

You’ll be producing the designs that go to our lead programmer, and which he’ll use as the basis for his work. You should have experience with UX design, and we can accommodate whichever application you prefer to work with, eg Figma or Sketch.

We’ve developed and plan to keep developing a large range of tools on the platform, like:

• Quizzes

• Tools to make large banks of information easy to search and understand

• Tools to simplify complex workflows

• Integrations with other platforms

• Document creation that involves input from multiple people

• Data visualisation

The problems we come up against can involve:

• Different users handling the same processes in different ways from each other

• Different groups of users having competing wants

• A data provider changing the way they structure their data

• Users not completing an important action on the platform

• A change on one tool having a knock-on effect on several other tools

• Users expressing their needs and ideas in uncertain or ambiguous ways
   

Your challenge is to design concrete solutions that work for everyone, which are as simple as possible to implement, and which are immediately understandable by a user who’s never seen them before.

Independence and initiative
 

You will work closely with Unifrog’s two co-founders. While colleagues from the wider team will be involved in coming up with ideas and telling you what they need, you will be the only team member, apart from the co-founders, in the product development team.

Because Unifrog’s co-founders work remotely and are also involved in other areas of the business, this will require you to be a good independent worker:
 

• Able to plan a project and stick to timelines, even when you need to get input from other team members

• Confident to come up with your own ideas, sort out good ideas from less useful ones, and make decisions based on information you’ve researched or been given by other team members

• Open when getting feedback

• Able to adapt to a team used to working in an informal way with few processes, allowing for flexibility and rapid advancements

• Driven to get projects finished and signed off

• Communication

You will need to understand and translate the issues that a user is facing to our lead programmer, and tell him your ideas for solutions and explain your designs in a way that will allow him to get working without needing lots of clarification.

You will need to communicate what development work is happening to the rest of the Unifrog team, and you’ll need to help your colleagues find the best way to tell users about it in turn.

Finally, you will need to be able to adapt your communication style depending on the person you are communicating with, including our lead programmer, other Unifrog team members, or partners and users.

Key details

• £45,000 per annum (Grade B)

• Work remotely or in our London or Edinburgh offices.

The role of Corporate Partnerships Assistant will give you the opportunity to work with our wide portfolio of corporate partners and support the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator to build on our relationships. You will support with managing relationships, processing donations, maintaining databases, and assisting the account management team, offering a chance for you to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

In this exciting role you will:

• Provide admin support to the team, keep the corporate supporter database (Raiser’s Edge) accurately maintained and up to date and assist with data gathering, reporting and insights.
• Provide excellent customer service, manage, respond and direct corporate partnership enquiries via email, and telephone.
• Support the planning and delivery of corporate partnership activities by working with both partners and St Mungo’s teams.
• Follow fundraising best practices, adhere to St Mungo’s policies, and contribute to a supportive team culture.
• You will work closely with the Coordinator, who will provide you with support, supervision and training to develop the necessary skills to succeed in this role.

In this role, you’ll work flexibly across different locations and activities, giving you the chance to engage with teams across St Mungo’s and external partners. You’ll also be required to spend time at our Central London office for training, collaboration, and team building. We support agile working for the rest of the week - whether from home or other St Mungo’s sites in London or regional locations.

About you

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to learning, and a passion for making a difference. You might be starting out in your career or have some experience in administration or fundraising, either way, if you have a willingness to learn and want to get stuck into a new challenge, we encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate the following:
