As a Night Concierge in our Ashley Road (Islington) accommodation service, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people rebuilding their lives. You’ll be the first point of contact during the night, offering practical support and a calm, reassuring presence. The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The Role

What's the role about?

You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team to support our regional partnerships with Girlguiding. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of our key project outputs.

Key tasks:

• Design and deliver youth-focused nature engagement activities, including co-creating a nature and climate youth action toolkit and launching a Youth Nature Ambassador Network for members aged 10-18 to shape initiatives and lead their own projects.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to a new project in West Yorkshire to deliver 6 month reviews to stroke survivors of working age.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.

Position: S11272 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Homebased Bradford, Wakefield and Leeds. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £21,948 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

Flexibility

Our London-based staff operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within London South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays (for full time staff – part-time staff are only required to work one of those days in the office) and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. Recovery Support Team Leader Location: London Salary: £30,082 per annum, plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time We are recruiting for a Recovery Support Team Leader. The Recovery Support service is available to current or former Forward Trust clients who are on a substance misuse recovery pathway, making good progress within the Forward Trust towards their personal goals, and coming to the end of their current treatment pathway. While Recovery Support is not exclusively for clients who are abstinent, clients will need to be in control of their drink and/ or drug use, and not be chaotic in their using i.e. heavy drinking, antisocial behaviour, daily/binge using of either drugs or alcohol (especially main substance/s of choice). Forward Connect is a peer-led mutual aid community of like-minded people who are making good progress in their own journey – this could be people in addiction recovery, moving away from crime, overcoming mental health problems, or who are coming out of a period of unemployment or homelessness. Roles Responsibilities The Team Leader will be based within the central Recovery Support team. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. The Team leader will also support with the delivery of the peer mentoring strategy in their allocated geographical areas. The aim of the role is to have a robust recovery support service integrated into all services, promoting and modelling the organisations values and ethos, supporting service users to further develop their recovery and lives, whilst bringing visible lived experience to all including staff via a range of recovery support interventions. The role is Hybrid. There is no set base but travelling is needed to Islington (London) as will require regular weekly visits to the 3 better lives buildings and occasional cover of weekend shifts in this area. You will also need to travel to units within their geographical areas which does include prisons and community projects. Some travel may be covered by the Forward Trust depending on your base, but ideally you should be based within 20 miles of Islington. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Education, Training and Employment (ETE) programme. You’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that support our community’s social, cultural and economic integration in the UK.

As Programme Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development of the ETE area, ensuring our work is high-quality, responsive to the needs of our community and making a real impact. You’ll also help grow the programme by strengthening existing partnerships and developing new ones.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring solid experience as both a project and line manager, with a track record of overseeing multiple initiatives, delivering against KPIs and communicating impact clearly. You’ll be confident managing people and priorities, with a keen eye for detail and a leadership style that brings out the best in your team.

You will have a strong understanding of the barriers Latin Americans face when accessing education and employment in the UK, and a genuine passion for advancing the rights and welfare of migrants and refugees.

You’ll also lead on embedding a human rights-based approach across our work through the London Communities Human Rights Programme – a four-year partnership with the British Institute of Human Rights, focused on shared learning, collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the ETE area strategy, ensuring we provide high-quality, responsive services that reflect the changing needs of our community

• Ensure grant and contract requirements are met, including achieving KPIs and delivering services on time and within budget

• Produce clear, high-quality monitoring, evaluation and impact reports for funders, partners, the Director and the Management Committee

• Manage existing partnerships effectively while building new relationships with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the ETE area

• Lead, support and inspire the ETE team to perform at their best

• Stay up to date with policy developments and other external factors that may affect our work, identifying opportunities to strengthen and grow our services

• Establish and maintain effective systems for data collection and monitoring to track progress and impact

• Ensure mechanisms are in place to listen to and act on the views of beneficiaries regarding the quality and impact of our services

• Promote our ETE services and communicate their impact to funders, partners and wider stakeholders

• Represent IRMO in relevant networks and forums as required

• Support the development of funding applications

• At least three years’ experience of managing programmes or projects

• Experience in delivering services in line with agreed targets and KPIs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, inspire confidence and bring out people’s strengths

• Ability to design, implement and oversee a range of education, training and employment initiatives

• Ability to develop and maintain effective systems for monitoring and evaluating projects and services

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and relevant databases

• Collaborative and supportive, with a strong commitment to working closely with colleagues, partners and the community

• Experience of working or volunteering in the charity sector

• Experience of supporting people into education, training or employment

• Teaching qualification relevant to ESOL delivery (e.g. CELTA or equivalent)
