About you
You’ll have experience of supporting the development and implementation of strategic and operational EDI work with the ability to use data, insights and evidence to support this. You’ll have specialist leadership and influencing skills with the ability to oversee teams and senior stakeholders with implementing our EDI strategy.
 
Crucially for this role, you’ll be able to build collaborative relationships and use your communication skills to cultivate networks. You’ll have experience of using appropriate challenge and support methods, managing conflict and be able to demonstrate positive, values-led leadership. You’ll also be an effective decision-maker with he ability to consider and take accountability for risks and decisions which carry organisation-wide impact.

The Operations team forms the bedrock of the charity and this new role offers considerable room for growth and development.

Working with the wider Operations & Impact team, you will lead on managing the tech [SS1] and office environments, taking ownership of the relationships with key external suppliers, ensuring that the team has the support and equipment they need to do their best work.

You will also work closely with the Operations team to co-ordinate the trustee meeting cycle, scheduling meetings, and acting as the key contact point for trustees.

You will work closely with the CEO by providing some support with arranging and scheduling meetings, and as such will be comfortable communicating at all levels.

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.

The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person. 

Main responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme, achieving its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy
• Overall responsibility for the delivery of the events with a focus on expanding global reach, supporting careers, and improving the financial position
• Manage events from conception to completion - delivering events to the highest standard to meet their objectives of success – quality and cost effectiveness

Overview / purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Officer who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a finance or operations role who is looking to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a mission-driven organisation.

You don’t need to have specific qualifications in finance or accounting - what matters most is a strong interest in charity finance, excellent attention to detail, and motivation to grow professionally. You may have worked in a junior finance, administrative, or operations role, and are now ready to take on broader responsibilities and deepen your expertise.

The Finance & Operations Officer is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. They will work closely with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to process invoices, expenses and conduct weekly payment runs, ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are carefully adhered to. They will also support colleagues to follow our financial policies and processes and act as the first point of contact for any questions on these procedures. Additionally, they will provide general administrative and operational support to colleagues as outlined in the below job description.

Responsibilities

Finance

• Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required

• Processing and coding invoices  in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

• Checking that correct coding and approval procedures are followed for staff expenses

• Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system

• Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support the development of funding proposals

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support financial reporting on grants for external donors

• Supporting the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance with general financial administration, record keeping and tracking budgets

• Provide training on expense and invoicing processes to new members of staff and generally acting as the first point of contact for all staff on any finance procedure questions (full training will be provided)

• Supporting the Senior Management Team (SMT) and our Director of Finance to develop the annual organisational budget and report against it quarterly

Office Management & General Operational Support

• Acting as the key point of contact between CGP & our coworking office space (organising memberships, meeting room bookings, invoices, printing credits, equipment, internal events etc.)

• Organising post, stationery supplies and managing stocks of office equipment

• Maintain/organise our filing and cloud storage systems logically and efficiently, in a data protection compliant manner.

• Ad hoc IT support as required, including online troubleshooting and logging support requests with service providers when necessary.

• General administrative support to the CEO and Head of Operations & Evaluation

Human Resources

• Support with recruitment processes within CGP, including assisting members of the team to schedule and coordinate job interviews, contact candidates and file incoming applications. 

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to organise internal events like team away days and staff team building activities.

Person specification

The right candidate will bring some prior experience in a relevant role, alongside enthusiasm for nonprofit finance and operations. They will have an aptitude for maths and finance,  excellent attention to detail and a meticulous, methodical approach to work and troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 1–2 years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, administrative, or operations role

• Is interested in building a career in nonprofit finance and is open to pursuing further financial training

• Is broadly supportive of UK Aid 

• Is an independent worker, self-starter who can take responsibility for projects through to completion

• Has excellent IT skills, proficient with MS Office programmes (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace, and the ability to learn to use new software as required (for example, Xero, Soldo and Salesforce)

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.

Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.

This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Income will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.

The Head of Income will lead a talented team, including our Senior Fundraising Manager (trusts and foundations) and Corporate Development Manager (strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships), and collaborate closely with our CEO, Trustees and earned income delivery teams (consultancy and training) whilst also being hands on in relationship development. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based. Skin Camouflage Practitioner Co-ordinator (Wales)
Hours: Part-time 22.2 hours / week (preference for 15.7 hours spread across 2-3 days per week, plus one 6.5 hour clinic day required (on either Tuesday or Friday).
Location: Hybrid: Mainly home based; one clinic day a week in Bridgend (Tuesday or Friday).

Changing Faces are launching a brand-new pilot Skin Camouflage Service in South Wales. We’re looking for a dedicated and organised Skin Camouflage Practitioner Coordinator to help make it happen.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver in-person Skin Camouflage appointments, supporting people with visible differences.
• Promote the service and build connections with local communities and health professionals.
• Support the new service set-up, including clinics, documentation, and Welsh translations.
• Coordinate and administrate appointments remotely and manage client enquiries.
• Signpost clients to other Changing Faces services as needed.
• Contribute to service development alongside the wider team.

We are seeking a professional, empathetic individual with strong administrative skills and either experience or a talent in cosmetic artistry or colour matching. A background in nursing, therapy, or another healthcare role would be an advantage in the clinic-based environment.

Following training, the role will involve delivering one 6.5-hour weekday clinic per week. In this setting, you will provide Skin Camouflage colour matching, application, tuition, and guidance to individuals affected by a visible difference.

In addition, you will work 15.7 hours remotely across 2–3 weekdays. This part of the role includes:

• Promoting the Skin Camouflage Service across Wales.
• Coordinating service setup, including documentation and translation.
• Building relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners.
• Managing appointments and client enquiries via phone and email.
• Maintaining databases and supporting the smooth, efficient running of clinics.

You will be an integral part of our Skin Camouflage team, helping to administrate and deliver a compassionate, professional service that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

We are looking for

• Fluent in Welsh and English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills to engage clearly, logically, and appropriately with a wide range of audiences.
• Proven administrative ability, including the efficient use of administration systems, and confident use of the Microsoft Office suite, video conferencing tools, and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience is an advantage but not essential).
• Experience or natural talent in cosmetic artistry or colour matching, with an excellent eye for colour and visual detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen empathetically and support vulnerable clients, while maintaining professional boundaries and emotional resilience.
• Good understanding of policies and procedures, particularly in relation to safeguarding, and a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of clients, staff, and volunteers.
• Excellent organisational skills and a systematic approach to work, with the ability to prioritise effectively between competing demands.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy even when working under pressure.
• Experience of contributing positively in a busy, team-focused environment, showing strong collaboration and support for colleagues.

The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement.
