About the role:
 
Legacies and in-memory giving play a vital role in ensuring lasting change for communities around the world. The Senior Legacy and In-Memory Marketing Executive will help deepen our supporters’ connection to our mission — inspiring them to create a legacy of hope and opportunity for future generations.
Reporting to the Supporter Development and Legacies Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the legacy strategy, delivering thoughtful, inspiring campaigns that celebrate the impact of legacy and in-memory giving. As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. Ovacome Support Services Officer, reporting to the Programmes Manager.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those affected by ovarian cancer through a people-centred approach. You must be experienced in providing support services, well-organised and approachable. You will be an important member of our staff team.

Pay scale: £28,500 – £33,000 per year (full time), pro-rata if part time. All our salaries our benchmarked based on the requirements of the Role Description and comparable roles in the charity sector. Salaries are subject to an annual review; we also award an annual cost of living increase.

Hours: 21 hours (part time) to 35 hours (full time) per week, with flexibility around core operational hours. We offer flexible hours to accommodate caring responsibilities. Core hours of work are between 8.30am to 5.30pm. Wednesday is a core working day.

Location is either:

· Home-based with an appropriate working space where confidentiality can be assured. Able to attend monthly meetings in London and travel for work. Lives within the UK.

Or:

· In our London office, this option attracts an additional payment.

You will maintain knowledge of clinical and research developments in ovarian cancer through relevant journals, attending conferences and liaison with healthcare professionals.

You will assist with the production of reports as required.

You will participate in regional support events as required, liaising with local services prior to the event. 

You will contribute to the Ovacome information resources and work with other members of the Ovacome to produce content that is of interest to our community.

You will work with the support team to identify common questions and themes from our service users so that we can proactively meet the needs of the wider community.

As an Individual Giving Fundraiser, you’ll be managing the planning, delivery and analysis of multichannel regular giving campaigns. The role will include, but not limited to, campaign management, creative development of online and offline campaigns, managing budgets, analysing results and strategic thinking. 

You will have had some fundraising and campaign management experience in the charity sector or have worked previously in a results driven environment. More importantly than that, you are a motivated problem solver, looking to make a difference, eager to grow and expand your knowledge of direct marketing.

At Friends of PICU, we’re dedicated to supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, funding lifesaving equipment, providing family support, and enhancing care for critically ill and injured children. We’re looking for a Community and Events Fundraiser to lead and grow our community and events fundraising activities, inspire supporters, and make a lasting impact for families when they need it most.

The Role

As our Community and Events Fundraiser, you’ll be the driving force behind our community and event fundraising. You’ll build relationships with existing and new supporters, community groups, and corporate partners developing opportunities to raise income and awareness for Friends of PICU.

Working closely with our Operations Manager, you’ll deliver an annual calendar of exciting fundraising events, from local community challenges to large-scale campaigns, ensuring each activity connects people to our mission and delivers excellent supporter experiences.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid working based partly at our charity office at University Hospital Southampton (2 – 3 days per week) and partly from home. Some evening and weekend work, plus travel across Hampshire and neighbouring counties will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow community fundraising by engaging with fundraisers, schools, faith groups, clubs, and small businesses.
• Build and nurture relationships, delivering exceptional supporter care and stewardship.
• Lead event fundraising – plan, deliver, and evaluate an annual calendar of fundraising events.

· Prepare compelling partnership proposals, impact reports, and presentations tailored to potential and existing partners

Communications & Administration

· Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to promote fundraising campaigns through digital, print, and social media channels

· Maintain accurate supporter records and track income and engagement using our CRM system

· Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR, fundraising regulations, and reflects The Carers’ Centre’s values

General
