We’re now looking for a Programme Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of UK Biobank’s Data Linkage Programme, a strategically important area of work for the organisation. Can you do it?

You’ll lead the end-to-end development and delivery of a major programme, working closely with the Executive team and senior stakeholders across UK Biobank, partner organisations, and data providers.

The programme sits within UK Biobank’s Data Linkage Programme, a key strategic priority as we expand how we link to external health records and datasets. You’ll report to the Director of Projects and Change and be accountable to the Director of Data Linkage, ensuring the programme approach aligns with organisational frameworks while accommodating the specific technical, governance, legal, and partnership considerations that come with data linkage.

This role suits someone who can bring momentum to environments with multiple perspectives, competing priorities, and evolving requirements — helping interdependent initiatives move forward and deliver lasting value.

You will be responsible for:

• Translating strategy into deliverable programmes by aligning multi-disciplinary teams, managing interdependencies and navigating complex constraints.
• Defining and maintaining a clear programme vision, roadmap, outcomes and success measures aligned to organisational strategy and portfolio priorities.
• Assessing and shaping resourcing and capability across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver current and future data linkage ambitions.
• Identifying and managing programme risks and constraints, particularly around data quality, governance, ethics and timeliness, working with partners to mitigate impact.

Working hours are 35-hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility, 3-days onsite with hybrid working available. Located in Oxford.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust as our new Project Manager - National Cycle Network, working within the Delivery Team to lead the successful delivery of active travel infrastructure projects.

We are looking for someone with exceptional project management skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Job Description

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) will play a crucial role in realising our ambitious plans as a charity. The postholder will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), along with the CEO, Director of Development, Director of Programmes and Director of Fundraising and Communications. The DFO role is responsible for overseeing the financial health, operational effectiveness, and organisational infrastructure of the charity, ensures that the charity operates efficiently, ethically, and in compliance with all regulatory and fiduciary requirements. This role blends strategic financial leadership with hands-on operational management and is critical to enabling the charity to achieve its charitable programme as well as provide long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Management

• Provide strategic financial leadership, including long-range financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Develop and manage the organisation’s annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage the accounting functions, including payroll and pension, and month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and present timely, accurate financial reports to the SLT, Finance and Investment Sub- Committee, and Board of Trustees.

• Significant experience in strategic planning, research intelligence, or policy development within the health sector, research or Government environment.
• A degree or higher degree in public health, health policy, or a related discipline.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves opening doors, building momentum and turning interest into long-term support. As Corporate Partnerships Officer, you’ll be right at the heart of our growing Fundraising team, actively identifying new corporate partners, starting meaningful conversations and shaping partnerships that genuinely add value. From first approach to signed agreement, you’ll play a key role in bringing businesses on board and inspiring them to stand alongside our work.

You’ll split your time between winning new partnerships and deepening existing ones. That means researching and targeting the right organisations, crafting and delivering engaging pitches, and managing a live pipeline of opportunities. Alongside this, you’ll steward a portfolio of corporate partners, building strong relationships with key contacts, coordinating activity, spotting opportunities to grow support and ensuring partnerships deliver real impact for both the business and Single Homeless Project.

You’ll quickly build a strong understanding of our services, values and priorities, using this insight to develop creative ways for businesses to get involved, from fundraising and campaigns to volunteering and events. You’ll track activity and performance through our CRM, using data and insight to strengthen relationships and retention. While your focus is corporate partnerships, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to support a joined-up, ambitious approach to income generation. The focus of this role is delivery of support to the fundraising team as well as administrative and financial record keeping tasks. You will be the first point of contact for individual supporters and play a key role in developing and delivering our stewardship and engagement plans. You will be involved in gathering feedback and experiences from our visitors so that we can show our impact. You will have an important role to make sure our database, record keeping and financial systems are accurate and fully up to date. You will assist the Fundraising Manager to generate financial and impact reports for use internally and externally. This is a varied role with plenty of contact with our wider staff team and supporter community and some desk-based work alongside. If you have experience in fundraising roles this would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:

Supporter care and communication (40%)

· Act as the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, including in person visits, ensuring a positive, personalised and friendly approach.

· Proactively and reactively thank new and existing supporters, via a variety of channels including phone, email, letter, social media and in person.

· Contribute to the development and delivery of a stewardship plan, with support from the Fundraising Manager.

· In collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and fundraising colleagues, produce materials and resources to support our stewardship of donors and supporters. This will include preparation of newsletters, social media content, marketing/fundraising materials and helping to plan and deliver supporter and participation events.

· Assist with systematic gathering and presentation of visitor feedback from a range of stakeholders including participants, group leaders, parents and teachers. This will be through face-to-face conversations, online events, surveys and through collating evidence gathered routinely by teams at Bendrigg.

Financial and database administration (30%)

· Working with the Finance Manager and Fundraising Manager, accurately process, record and reconcile donations and Gift Aid income across various platforms.

· Log donations using a combination of manual data entry, automated imports, and third-party integrations with our fundraising database.

· Confidently run internal reports to generate statistics and impact measurements for use in our accounting, projections and grant reports.

· Ensure the database is fully up-to-date and complies with data protection regulations including GDPR.

Team support (30%)

· Manage our third-party donation platforms, ensuring accurate record keeping.

· Work with the fundraising team to create and maintain our stock of fundraising materials and resources.

· Maintain Bendrigg’s website pages related to fundraising and supporter care.

· Help the Fundraising Coordinator prepare for and deliver events and other community initiatives.

· Contribute to the planning process for the team’s calendar of fundraising appeals and activities.

· Provide support to the onsite Income & Engagement Team providing a 'reception' service including answering the door, greeting and signposting visitors, accepting deliveries, answering the main office phone and directing calls.

Further responsibilities

· Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation – such as attending team meetings, producing reports and taking a flexible approach to general administrative duties.

· Complete internal and external training appropriate to the role.
