Z2K is a small but fearless anti-poverty charity. We combine frontline advice with bold influencing to tackle the systems that drive poverty - and we’re recruiting our first Major Donor & Corporate Lead.

You’ll lead on building and delivering our strategy for major donors and corporates, cultivating long-term partnerships rooted in shared values. Working closely with our Chief Executive, senior leadership team and trustees on major donor and corporate fundraising, and with our Communications Lead on fundraising communications and campaigns, you’ll shape compelling approaches to inspire support. You’ll also line manage our Fundraising Officer (grant funding & events), helping diversify Z2K’s income to change lives and challenge injustice. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to shape your approach. You’ll lead on identifying new prospects, crafting compelling proposals, and making the case for support to a wide range of external audiences.

Early Literacy Interventionist (North London)

• £16 per hour

• Working across two schools -  20 hours per week, over 5 days per week, so 4 hours per day

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children. 

This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.

You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

This is a part-time role, based across two primary schools in North London. One school is Millbrook Park CE Primary School, NW7 1JF and the other is The Devonshire Hill Nursery and Primary School, N17 8LB. Our preference is for a candidate who will work across both schools, travelling between them in the middle of the day. About the role

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us over raise over £1.4 million each year.

Supporters will be mainly Trusts & Foundations, but also some corporates and individuals. The role will include writing applications for funding, renewing existing partnerships and writing compelling funding reports. The Fundraising Officer will also be responsible for tracking the charity’s fundraising using our databases and CRM system, and for our ambassador programme.

The successful candidate will have experience working as part of a fundraising team, or have transferable skills from a similar external-facing role. Key Responsibilities

 

Corporate Fundraising

• Identify, develop and secure corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year opportunities, sponsorships, payroll giving, and in-kind support.
• Build relationships with local businesses, engaging them in volunteering and staff fundraising activities.
• Prepare compelling proposals, pitches and presentations to secure new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
• Recruit and steward local businesses for the Unpaid Carers Hub, our web-based corporate partnerships offer.

 

Community Fundraising

• Pro-actively grow income from local community groups, schools, clubs and faith organisations across Surrey.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity at local events, deliver talks and presentations, inspiring people to support our work.
• Support and encourage DIY/community fundraisers, providing resources and guidance to maximise income.

 

Events

• Plan and deliver fundraising events from concept to completion, managing budgets, logistics and marketing timelines to ensure strong ROI.
• Recruit participants for charity-led and third-party events, including running challenges and bespoke campaigns such as I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here!.

 

Communications and Stewardship

• Work with the Fundraising and Communications teams to create engaging fundraising materials, content for social media, newsletters, and supporter updates.
• Deliver excellent supporter care, ensuring donations are acknowledged promptly and relationships nurtured for long-term engagement.

 

Data, Reporting and Administration

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fundraising within the charity sector

About the Role

The Referrals Practitioner supports all aspects of our referral process – from handling enquiries and assessing applications to ensuring smooth, safe, and supportive arrivals for new residents. Working alongside the Referrals Coordinator, you will:

• Respond to referrals and enquiries with professionalism and compassion
• Carry out assessments in line with Nehemiah’s admissions procedures
• Build relationships with referral agencies, prisons, and community partners
• Provide feedback to applicants and agencies on referral outcomes
• Arrange and support resident arrivals, including prison gate pickups where required
• Help ensure our houses remain safe, positive recovery environments
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and monitoring

This is a varied role where no two days are the same – you might be assessing an application one morning, presenting to a prison referral team in the afternoon, and welcoming a new resident from the community the next day.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in working with vulnerable adults in recovery, the criminal justice system, or related fields (paid, voluntary, or lived)
• Skilled in communication, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents, partners, and colleagues
• Organised and confident using IT systems (ideally including Salesforce or similar CRM tools)
• Able to demonstrate resilience and empathy in challenging situations
• Understanding of addiction recovery and safeguarding principles
• NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience (including lived experience)

About the Role 

As an IDVA at Respond, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and empowering them to rebuild their lives. You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.

We are seeking an exceptional, creative and strategic fundraising leader to shape and deliver a new public fundraising and supporter engagement strategy, driving significant income growth across individual giving, legacies, community, events and trading.

As Associate Director, Public Fundraising, you will be a motivating leader for the talented Supporter Engagement team.  You will work with your leadership group to build on our successful approach to mass fundraising, aligning with our new organisational strategy to drive long-term transformational growth.
