As a Challenge Events Lead you will:

• Optimise supporter journeys, streamline operations, and use data to drive decision making, from place allocation strategy to marketing performance.

• Mentor and collaborate with an Events Fundraising Coordinator to deliver a seamless supporter experience, offering support while empowering them to grow.

The role

The trusts fundraising officer will report to the trusts dunfraising manager.

We are seeking an enthusiastic trusts fundraising officer to join our team to help deliver our ambitious plans for growth. About the role:

Battersea is entering an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the first year of our new five-year strategy. Main purpose of the role:

This is a new role working within Battersea’s Income Generation department to develop and deliver the campaign plan for a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal.

One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. Through managing FSUK’s social platforms, you will at times also interact with the charity’s online community, responding with empathy as you engage and signpost to appropriate services such as the FSUK helpline, ensuring people feel heard, informed, and supported.

Lastly, raising awareness of FSUK will be one strand of the communications output, however the primary focus is to enable stronger connections and deepen engagement and trust with their valued community.

Emotional intelligence and well defined interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having proficient organisational ability and the aptitude to multi-task when working independently within this small, yet fast-moving team.

A background in patient, community, or stakeholder engagement will also be a valuable asset, alongside exposure to working within the health, charity, or research sector. You will have demonstrable experience producing content, alongside a track record of managing digital and social platforms (particularly Instagram).

About the Role

Are you enthusiastic about empowering families and ensuring access to the right support? We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Parent Carer Adviser to support families of children and young people with disabilities in the Earls Court area

In this role you will:

• Provide 1-to-1 advice and advocacy and group sessions in community setting
• Deliver information sessions or workshops to help families navigate support services.
• Offer tailored signposting to local, educational, health and social care resources.
• Develop strong relationships with professionals at all levels and advocate effectively when challenges arise

You will work from home and run regular sessions in the Earls Court area, collaborating with families and community partners to reduce isolation, promote access to entitlements, and support informed decision-making.

We are Looking for someone who:

• Has experience providing advice or advocacy to individuals in a community or voluntary sector setting.
• Has a knowledge and understanding of at least two of the following areas:
  • Adult/children social care
  • Special Education Needs and the Children and Families Act
  • Health (including mental health services, Continuing Health Care)
  • Housing
  • Youth services
• Understands the challenges faced by families of children with disabilities/ SEND.
