Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Based within our Central Office which is in Islington, with home working possible and regular visits to services which span across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. You may also be required to work at other locations as per required. Please note that our central office and some of our other services do not have step free access.

Salary: £32,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

About the Role

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Business Development team as a Business Development Officer, reporting to the Head of Business Development!

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth, reach, and expansion of the services in which we deliver at Social Interest Group (SIG). The role focuses on identifying new funding and tender opportunities, preparing submissions, managing documents, and supporting with our Marketing efforts. Some of what this role entails includes:

• Leading on developing processes and procedures for approvals and submissions of grants and tenders
• Supporting with Marketing Communications including the intranet, social media, and merchandise management
• Conducting research and analysis to identify fundraising and tender opportunities
• Completing competitor analysis data to monitor trends and opportunities
• Taking the lead on drafting responses for small tenders and fundraising submissions for smaller bids and applications
• Preparing budget sheets for tenders and grants

Migrateful is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity founded in 2017. Our mission is to support refugees and migrants facing barriers to employment and integration in the UK by offering training, paid work, and a supportive community.

About the Role

The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations. 

You’ll play the important role of supporting Facilitators by creating practical guides, coordinating training and skills-sharing sessions, gathering feedback, and maintaining up-to-date documentation such as health and safety records. 

Alongside this, you’ll help manage other key areas of Operations like responding to customer and volunteer queries, coordinating volunteers for public and corporate classes, and supporting process improvements around our use of Salesforce.

A key deliverable of this role is overseeing our invoicing process. You’ll be responsible for bi-weekly checks to ensure timely and accurate payments to our cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and teachers (Chefs). You’ll also support improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes.

Person specification

This role would suit a proactive, organised, collaborative individual who enjoys variety in their work. You’ll need to be confident using systems, have a keen eye for detail, and take satisfaction in improving processes.

Essential

• Experience working in an operations, administrative or coordination role

Key Responsibilities

Invoicing

• Perform bi-weekly invoice checks and capture these on Salesforce

• Coordinate the periodic recruitment and onboarding of new Facilitators
• Update and improve Facilitator user guides and training materials
• Maintain regular communication with Facilitators, including announcements and process updates

The Southeast and East Asian Centre CIC (SEEAC) is a non-profit organisation registered as a community interest company that provides community-based support to members of the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities, especially those underrepresented and marginalised migrants and refugees in the UK. Our website. This is a part-time role to lead SEEAC’s engagement with the East and Southeast Asian Communities. The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for reaching out, building and maintaining a solid network with community members, identifying and understanding communities’ needs, liaising and coordinating with other stakeholders who can provide relevant support and assistance, and supporting the development of communication materials for the communities. The post holder will work closely with members of the SEEAC staff team, volunteers and partners in organising and promoting community activities and disseminating information to the community members and relevant stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you must have 2 or more years of demonstrated professional experience working in a community setting or a non-profit organisation involving social justice issues (as an employee or a volunteer) and strong organisational and administrative skills. We expect you to demonstrate proven ability to organise events and activities. Flexible homework is offered in a hybrid setting, with in-person work based at the SEEAC office in East London. To create a better collaboration with other staff members and communities, SEEAC, however, require all staff members to work in the office or on-site occasionally as required. About Your Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation.

The primary duties are:

Digital Communications and Marketing

• Newsletter Creation: Develop newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants Team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.

• Promotional Materials: Oversee the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.

• Website Maintenance: Regularly update the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.

• Storytelling: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events Team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.

• Press and Outreach: Assisting in drafting press releases and executing outreach campaigns to promote JPF’s work to key networks and to the broader public.

• Event Promotion: Work in partnership with the Events Team to promote attendance at our Achievement Award events through our website and social media platforms.

• Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) Collaboration: Collaborate with JPF's Youth Consultation Panel to create educational and professional development content for the Jack Petchey Alumni Network.

Programme Launches: Work with colleagues across JPF to launch and promote new programmes, grant opportunities and recruitment across our digital channels.

• Annual Plan: Contribute to JPF’s annual communications strategy, including devising social media plans, providing recommendations to enhance audience engagement and expand reach.

• Trend monitoring: Stay updated on news and trending topics related to young people and JPF, proactively responding to highlight our opportunities and work.

Community Development 

• Youth consultation Panel (YCP): Work with the JPF team to engage with and support our Youth Consultation Panel to share their opinions and help inform the work of the Foundation.

• Alumni Network: Support the development of the Jack Petchey Alumni Network, a community of past JPF programme graduates, expanding its uptake and planning future events.

• Youth Survey Development: Support the creation, distribution and analysis of JPF’s annual youth surveys.

• Partner Collaboration: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer to manage our partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.

The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. About the Role

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.

• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
