Within the Chief Executive’s Office, the UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence Department are focused on creating lasting change. We identify creative policy solutions in response to the challenges people with arthritis face. We influence decision-makers through stakeholder engagement, public affairs activity and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis. We have expertise across health and care services, public health, and employment policy. About the role

The purpose of this role is to drive policy development across our policy priority areas. The Policy Officer will lead on specific policy projects, commissioning research, developing policy positions, and producing reports and consultation responses.

This role will cover a broad range of issues across one of our strategic goals – prevention and diagnosis; access to treatment; and living well with arthritis. Our approach considers the needs of people of all ages who have arthritis.

The Policy Officer will also contribute to the wider work of the team, working closely with colleagues in the Nations Teams, the Research Directorate and the wider charity, including by representing us on cross-sector policy groups, drafting briefings, and participating in events and conferences.

The Finance Assistant will support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance and Operations Director. They will be responsible for all aspects of sale, purchase and nominal ledger, credit control, payments and various reconciliations. General management account duties will also be required

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the shared inbox and respond to queries to internal and external contacts in a timely and courteous manner.
• Log purchase invoices into the finance system and request authorisation from budget holders, ensuring that documentation is complete and correct.
• Issue all sales invoices and maintain funders invoicing schedule.
• Request and reconcile supplier statements.
• Ensure finance policies are followed for the set-up of new customers and suppliers.
• Support internal team with expense reimbursements, including maintaining the expenses software and relevant reconciliations. Follow up on missing documentation or evidence of non-compliance.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and issue remittance advices.
• Issue statements to customers and regular credit control activities.
• Check ledgers for missing costs. Identify and resolve missing costs or discrepancies in ledgers.
• Complete reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated and accounted for correctly.

The Role 

Fundraising and Impact Coordinator

o Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising applications, events and community initiatives

o Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities

o Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration

o Lead outreach efforts to engage new community partners, such as businesses, promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

o Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets

o Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), working closely with our social media lead on content

o Produce impact reports and collate information for reporting to funders and to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications

o Work collaboratively with the wider team, to support their work whilst deepening an understanding of our services

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and controls (e.g.,

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. This is an exciting senior policy role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The development of a UK-wide child poverty strategy in government means this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to influence to influence policy makers to adopt our evidence-based policy solutions to child poverty.

We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will enjoy working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions, working closely with colleagues across the organisation as well as externally.

The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the development and implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, sharing analysis and expertise as part of the DWP’s review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of the green paper on the changes to disability benefits, and the white paper on employment.

About the Role

As Finance and Operations Officer, you will report to the Operations and Systems Manager and act as the go-to person for day-to-day queries around finance, HR, IT, and office operations.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys multi-tasking and problem-solving, and is looking to grow their career in charity operations, finance, or HR.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance:

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero (invoicing, coding, bank reconciliation)

• Prepare and issue contracts and invoices

• Lead on credit control and payment runs

• Support payroll and tutor payment reconciliation

• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting

HR and Policies:

• Keep staff policies and the Employee Handbook up to date

• Coordinate recruitment logistics, from job adverts to interview scheduling

Purpose of the role:

The Junior Salesforce Administrator role supports the effective use and ongoing development of the Churchill Fellowship’s Salesforce CRM platform and related applications. Working closely with the Salesforce Team and other internal teams, you will ensure our data remains accurate and accessible, help to improve business processes, and provides user support and training across the organisation. You will play a key part in ensuring Salesforce functions as the single source of truth for organisational data. 

Key responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration and Support:

• Support day-to-day Salesforce user needs, including responding to support tickets and troubleshooting.
• Maintain data quality through duplicate management, validation rules, and standardised field formatting.
• Assist with regular data cleaning activities and updates to system records. 
• Help to prepare technical documentation and user guidance materials. 
• Contribute to routine platform maintenance, upgrades, and third-party app integrations (e.g., FormAssembly, Conga). 
• Support data reporting and dashboards to ensure teams can access reliable insights. 
• Collaborate on developing and refining automated processes using Flows and other Salesforce tools.

Grant & Event Technical Support:

• Assist with the technical setup of grant-related processes in Salesforce, including automations and applicant communications. 
• Support the Events and Development teams with Salesforce Campaign setup, RSVP forms, and invitation tracking. 
• Help ensure integrations and automations run smoothly before, during, and after events. 
• Monitor engagement and follow-up activities through reports and dashboards.

• Provide training and onboarding support to help new and existing staff understand and use Salesforce effectively.

Recruitment Process

We hope to meet initially with as many candidates as possible, however where demand is unusually high, we may not be able to meet everyone.

Dementia UK is currently seeking two Database Officers to lead on the delivery of processes within the Database Services team.

As a Database Officer, your primary responsibility will be managing a substantial volume of data files from a variety of sources, seamlessly importing this information into our fundraising database. You will handle supporter data ensuring a high level of accuracy, while being directly responsible for running the majority of data imports as well as handling enquires coming into the Database Services shared inbox and running regular data cleansing routines.

In addition, you will be expected to maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed. Working with the Supporter Care, Finance, and Fundraising teams to ensure income is accurately coded across all fundraising streams and maintaining the accuracy of database process guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will bring previous experience in using databases for data entry, maintenance, and importation. A high level of computer literacy is essential, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required. Your ability to function effectively within a team, coupled with your initiative in prioritising and organising your workload, will be key to success.

With the charity’s move from Raiser’s Edge to Dynamics 365, you will also be involved in the testing of the new database, training of end users, and the writing of new process documentation. It is an exciting time to be joining Database Services, and there will be opportunities for personal development and the acquisition of a broad base of technical skills across the work of the team.
