This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.

Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. This role will also require an enhanced DBS check.

The Role

One of the primary core initiatives will be the delivery of a mentoring scheme for our members with an inclusivity focus.

The successful candidate will be experienced in monitoring and evaluating interventions with a focus on undertaking process evaluations, measuring outcomes and impact using a variety of methodologies and techniques. You will have the ability to lead on design, delivery and implementation of monitoring and evaluation for project and programmes and have familiarity with handling data protection protocols, ensuring data security and ethical considerations. The Role

• Report to the Managing Director

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing.

Our services provide 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and have complex needs. The services are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will have the overall responsibility to deliver the highest standards of service quality, performance and improvements across your services through excellent leadership and embodiment of our SIG values.

As the Area Manager, you will lead the team to deliver exemplar Trauma Informed support to our residents and participants. The current team you will directly manage:

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Line Management and Leadership

• Provide high quality support, leadership and line management to staff, offer guidance, support, and advice to the team and support them to perform to the best of their abilities.

Service Delivery

• Manage the overall day-to-day operational delivery of your service, working directly with your team, colleagues, residents and participants, as well as other stakeholders to provide a high-quality, holistic service which meets the needs of our residents.
• Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively. This includes but is not limited to; welfare checks, risk assessments, support sessions, safeguarding checks, training and development, and other responsibilities required for effective service delivery.

• Work proactively to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct.

Risk Management

• Follow relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share relevant information with others as necessary.
• Ensure all case recording and information is accurately recorded in a timely manner, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR.
• Champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team.

Property and Housing Management

• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
• Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents. 

Financial Management

• Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

• Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

About the role
This is a fantastic role for an Individual Giving specialist looking for their next career move; as we look to expand our Individual Giving programme. 

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaign, raising income from a range of sources; including Direct Mail, Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Mencap have a fantastic opportunity in the CRM Database team.  We are looking for a Senior CRM Database Officer to work on BAU data process improvements, complex SQL selections, data imports and CRM training.  Mencap are seeking a highly skilled database professional who wants to join a vibrant and dynamic team that is passionate about making the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability. As the Senior CRM Database Officer, you will combine your strong CRM technical and analytical skills with excellent communication skills to ensure that all our internal & external stakeholders are presented with accurate, accessible data.  You will work within the Fundraising Operations team (FrOps) providing quality CRM data related support and advice to Fundraising CRM users in line with team service levels and performance targets.  In this role, you will identify, implement and write up process improvements; develop & deliver complex data campaign mailing selections & analytics to Fundraising CRM system users for direct marketing purposes; provide support and cover for data import processes and deliver training and procedure guides.  You will also maintain and develop our CRM data systems, ensuring our data accuracy & integrity meets all Fundraising compliance standards.

• You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in. 

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

• You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.
