The Lead CRM Engineer is responsible for taking a leading role in the CRM engineering capability team to identify and share good practice, develop standards, patterns, automation & tools, reduce technical debt and operational risks.

In addition the Lead CRM Engineer should design and develop enhancements to our CRM platform, supporting the delivery of our CRM Engineering strategy; apply specialist knowledge to identify improvements.

What will I be doing?

• Lead in all aspects of the software development life cycle e.g., requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation
• Apply Lean and Agile principles to develop high quality code that has minimal bugs, adheres to CRUK standards and is highly supportable
• Work either independently or in collaboration with Solution Architects to design new solutions in line with the CRM Engineering strategy
• Start the development of new products from scratch, leading on all the technical decisions this entails
• Work in collaboration with Product Managers, Service Designers, UX Designers, Business Analysts etc to identify user needs, discuss capabilities and iteratively design solutions
• Take a leading role in the CRM engineering capability team to identify and share good practice, develop standards, patterns, automation & tools, and reduce technical debt and operational risks
• Design and develop enhancements to our CRM platform, supporting the delivery of our CRM Engineering strategy; applying specialist knowledge to identify improvements
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to track and improve the availability, performance, and security of CRM products. Support the resolution of incidents impacting our products.
• Responsible for release management and line management of 2-5 CRM engineers, coaching them to develop their skills, behaviours and develop their careers.

What are you looking for?

Essential:

• Ability to write clean, readable, and properly tested code based on tried and tested design patterns.
• Experience building applications on our existing CRM platform (Siebel) and/or future CRM (Salesforce), including data model design, custom UIs, custom logic, inbound and outbound integration logic
• Experience running critical services in production and designing highly available, scalable, and secure solutions
• Acted as a Senior or Lead within an Engineering team, starting the development of new features from scratch, defining the overall solutions, and reviewing more junior engineers' work.'

Desirable:

• Understands business problems and able to translate them into solution designs using creativity and pragmatism.
• Knowledge of modern software development methods (SCRUM, Kanban) and approaches (test-driven development, behaviour driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery)

Our team offer information, advocacy and specialist services to increase safety and meet a range of needs – these can include ongoing safety concerns, emotional or housing support, legal options, reporting to the police, help around child contact, benefits and financial advice. As part of the support, we also ensure survivors can access therapeutic support via the Waltham Forest Therapeutic Marketplace. 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Duty Worker.  The successful candidate will be responsible in dealing with all incoming referrals and queries to the Advocacy Service. The role will involve processing all referrals, liaising with professionals, establishing initial contact as per the service’s contract requirement. The process of initial contact will involve completing a Safe Lives risk assessment, assessing the service user’s practical and therapeutic needs and supporting with any urgent needs that arise during this contact. Additionally, the duty worker will make appropriate referral out, this includes MARAC and complete adult and child safeguarding referrals where required in line with Solace’s policies and procedures. The Duty Worker will maintain and manage any waiting list and will work closely with all members of the team in relation to the allocation of cases and case updates.

About You

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children, and experience of working with women who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As an unqualified, inexperienced independent multi-disciplinary advocate, you will be required to enrol on the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification and complete the course within a set timescale, using protected study time to focus on this. You will shadow experienced team members and then be observed providing advocacy to those who are eligible for our services until you are able to pick up a caseload of your own. You will receive training in the different remits of advocacy, instructed and non-instructed advocacy and safeguarding and be supported to develop a thorough understanding of the role and boundaries of advocacy. The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. When providing non-instructed advocacy, you will ensure that the unique preferences and views of the person are taken into consideration in any decisions made by care providers.

Mind in Croydon is seeking to recruit a full time Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA)  to join our small, dedicated team of Independent Mental Health Advocates working to provide advocacy services to adults subjected to detention under the Mental Health Act in the London Borough of Croydon to ensure they understand, express and exercise their rights, and to enable them to access essential services. The advocacy team also provides Community Mental Health Advocacy for people who are informal patients in psychiatric hospital or living in the community and provides weekly advocacy service at two InMind Healthcare Group hospitals in Croydon.

This role is suitable for a fully qualified Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) with a proven ability to support people under the Mental Health Act. We are not considering trainee positions at this time.

In December 2024 the team was awarded the Quality Performance Mark in Advocacy, a testament to their quality of service providing safe and life-changing support.

SALARY: £30,404 per annum
plus pension contributions (above 4% by salary sacrifice.

REPORTS TO: Advocate Service Manager 

TERM: Permanent, subject to funding, full time (36 hours pw)

BASED AT: Bethlem Royal Hospital, Beckenham BR3 3BX. Advocates are also required to meet clients at different sites throughout Croydon and neighbouring boroughs.

This role supports hybrid working. Other flexible arrangements can be discussed however please note that specific flexible working arrangements such as staggered hours may not be feasible due to operational constraints set by the Hospital.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis via a drop-in service.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

 

 

The Role

The role of the support workers will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing.

About the role

The Safety & Assurance Officer (SAO) is an employee of the MSSC and a member of the MSSC National Safety Assurance Team (NSAT). This is a home-based role, with a primary focus on the Southern area, predominantly the South-East. The SAO will report to the Head of Safety, Health, and Environment.

The SAO will work closely with other SAOs and will be functionally accountable to:

Responsibilities

Join the Marine Society & Sea Cadets as a Safety and Assurance Officer, ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, environment (SHE), and operational compliance across our units and facilities.
You’ll lead assurance inspections, maintain compliance with legislation and organisational regulations, and support the safe management of weapons, armouries, and inshore boating activities. Working closely with other members of the National Safety and Assurance Team (NSAT) and Area teams, you’ll oversee safety at events, camps, and competitions, conduct audits, and monitor incident reporting.

About the opportunity

As Accounts Assistant focusing on Treasury and Accounts Receivables, you'll play an important role in delivering a high-performing, efficient financial transactions operation with partnership and improvement at its core. This is both an operational and developmental role, offered with the possibility of pursuing a formal qualification such as a financial accounting apprenticeship or another appropriate finance or administration-related qualification.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, reporting to the Financial Transaction Team Officers and working alongside other assistants and trainees. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a senior member of Hestia's operations team, your role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives. You will contribute to the development of Hestia's strategic goals and annual planning processes, translating these into a comprehensive Area Plan that aligns with the organisation's values and aims. This plan should be delivered effectively across services, with a focus on continuous improvement and outcome-driven service delivery. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance service performance through a SMART annual business plan. Ensuring adherence to Hestia's policies and procedures is essential, as is contributing to their ongoing refinement. Collaboration with the New Business and Development Team is key to identifying new opportunities, supporting tender submissions, and managing the integration of new services with careful planning and capacity assessment.

Building strong partnerships with voluntary and statutory sector providers is crucial to fostering best practices and a collaborative approach to service planning.
