As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.
The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.
You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.
Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.
It is a key time to be joining the charity and helping us to continue to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The charity has been hugely successful, but the work is far from done. The impact of the sudden death of a baby is wide and never goes away, as we know from the families that we support. This drives all our work, across each department. We are currently recruiting a Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant to manage a portfolio of grants and contribute to the implementation of the IAWP strategy. In addition, this Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant will support London-based Trustees by managing their schedules, arranging travel, and processing discretionary grants. The role of the Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant is essential in maintaining the seamless operations and success of our foundation.
Executive Assistant to London based Trustees (approximately 30%)
- Processing discretionary grants for Trustees by liaising with the organisations identified to receive grants, collecting necessary documentation, and coordinating with Oak grant management team
- Assisting the Trustees with external contacts, including prioritising correspondence and phone inquiries, drafting responses as necessary, and managing workflow emerging from these contacts
- Scheduling and coordinating Trustee appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries, including the preparation of background materials, arranging meetings and events, and ensuring appropriate follow-up of decisions and agreements

- Communications: Work with the Communications Department to prepare and pull together material for presentations, briefings, and background material as required. Work with the team and director to manage a communications plan for the programme. It may also include drafting and preparing communication updates, including programme newsletters.

- Team calendar: Maintain overall team calendar for planning purposes.

- Routine correspondence: Draft routine correspondence, including various programme reports and other briefings.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. The aim of this exciting role is to contribute to the delivery of Mind in Tower Hamlets (MITHNR) and East London Foundation NHS Trust’s (ELFT) Talking Therapies Employment Advice Service.
Purpose of the role
To provide employment advice to patients accessing ELFT NHS Talking Therapies, supporting patients to gain and/or retain employment via one to one information, advice and guidance sessions. This role is part of the national Employment Advice in NHS Talking Therapies programme and has been accredited by the Matrix standards for information, advice and guidance.

Role Specific
· Maintain a caseload of clients offering one to one support to help clients find, remain or retain employment.
· Carry out initial telephone assessments and action plans using SMART goals to identify clients goals and barriers to employment.
· Offer a range of employment support interventions to clients that will support them to find, remain or return to work.
· Offer one to one sessions at least 1 evening per week where working hours will be 11 – 6:30pm
· Work in an integrated way with the IAPT clinical team to demonstrate a seamless service to the client. Co-location to different NHS IAPT services and centres across Tower Hamlets to offer Employment Advice.
· Support clients to create CVs, Cover Letters, write applications, inform clients of job search techniques, and provide mock interview practice.
· Provide 1-2-1 support to clients to enable them to return to work after long term sickness absence or other reasons
· Work closely with employers to support clients to remain in their jobs by negotiating reasonable adjustments at the workplace
· Work closely with local employment law professionals and trade unions to offer clients and their employers with information about their employment rights and responsibilities
· Manage allocated service project and work with the team to ensure referrals are received on time
· Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed on time, including questionnaires, reports and minutes for each client engagement and that these are regularly updated using the IAPTus (patient database system) and protocols.
· Ensure Caseload Management Tool is regularly up to date with client session information and targets.
· Signpost the client, where necessary, to other agencies who will be able to provide advice on benefits or support that the client may be entitled to

Job Title: Book-Keeper/administrative responsibilities /HR
Part-time: 21 hours per week

Job Purpose:
The Bookkeeping/admin role include Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes. Answering the telephone, ordering stationary. Providing back office services such as accounts payable, collection of time sheets and payroll. Monitoring cash flow, petty cash handling, paying invoices, communicating with local government finance team, HR and funding application /budgets and monitoring.
Experience of working in a medium size charity and can be work as part of a team friendly cooperative.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeepers are responsible for several duties related to managing financial records these responsibilities may include:
· Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software (QuickBooks online) or databases then filing hard copies
· Preparing financial statements showing organisation income and expenditure
· Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Completing VAT returns (if related)
· Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the management of errors

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT
We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. We are experts in supporting young people and politicians to engage through political contact.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Office Manager would work with our small team of 7 staff by providing organisational and administrative support.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, advanced proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), general bookkeeping skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience of working with a database is a desirable skill.
The post holder will:
- Work with the Director and wider team to ensure efficient office operations.
- Implement and maintain procedures/office administrative systems.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Manage databases. Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies (training can be provided).
