Responsibilities of our Estates Assistant:

- Front-line connection for Cats Protection premises, managing reactive and planned property repair and maintenance requests to support Surveyors in the delivery of the estate portfolio

- Proactive solutions and coordination of repairs with stakeholders, liaison with contractors, arranging appointments, ensuring health and safety compliance, within procurement guidelines.

- Flexible cover for the Estates and Construction Coordinator and administrative support to the wider senior Estates and Construction team

- Follow clear and consistent processes and create and manage accurate records in asset registers, filing systems and databases such as Terrier and SharePoint

- Prepare and enhance reports to support the Surveyors and Contracts and Database Manager to administer contracts and service delivery to meet team objectives

- Assist with the production of registers and reports, including proposal, compliance and expenditure reports

- Raising Purchase Orders and processing invoices

About the Estates and Construction team:

- We ensure that Cats Protection is able to sustain its cat welfare operations and retail activities by providing Estate Management and Construction services delivering acquisition, repair, maintenance, re-development and disposal services for an estate portfolio of circa 196 properties including 34 Cat Centres, 88 Shops and other Cats Protection premises across the UK. Together with the Safety, Health and Environment Team and Facilities we ensure regulatory/legal compliance of properties.

- The Estates and Construction Team consists of approximately 15 personnel, 5 of whom form immediate colleague relationships.

What we’re looking for in our Estates Assistant:

- Previous administration experience working within an estate management setting

- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders

- Confident creating spreadsheets, action plans and drafting documents

- Highly professional customer service experience

- Confident communicator with prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to work on initiative

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook

Purpose

The Fundraising Development Officer supports the delivery of our individual giving programme, helping to nurture current supporters and attract new ones.

You will be responsible for building our regular giving support, implementing supporter journeys and co-ordinating our annual appeals. You will also work closely with the Head of Fundraising in developing our major donor plans, and support with other individual giving channels, including in-memory giving and legacy giving.

We are looking for someone who has great communication and relationship management skills, and a collaborative approach. You will be a self-motivated, proactive and analytical individual with the ability to build, manage and develop relationships across teams.

While a background in fundraising is desirable, it is not essential. If you bring the right skills and are willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Manage our ‘Friends of Charlie Waller’ regular giving scheme, building the supporter numbers and engagement with the charity.
• Deliver exceptional supporter care to our regular supporters, recognising opportunities for deeper engagement and potential for further support.
• Implement the supporter journeys for regular and one-off donors, creating communications to engage them with the cause and understand the impact.
• Co-ordinate and deliver our appeals cycle, working closely with colleagues across the charity to collate appeal content, including case studies, statistics and images.
• Support the delivery and development of our major donor plans, identifying prospects within our supporter base and assisting with stewardship plans.
• Support the delivery and development of our plans for building in-memory and legacy giving, including the administering of gifts, stewardship of supporters and contributing to cultivation events.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.
• Attend CWT events as appropriate to establish new contacts, develop existing relationships, and raise the profile of CWT with potential supporters.
• Ensure that systems and processes are effective, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures. 
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.

The role of People Systems Database Lead is in place to maintain, optimise, and support RGP’s HRIS, ATS, Learning Management and Better Impact systems. Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data, and supporting system updates, integrations, and reporting needs. The People Database Lead will collaborate with HR, L&D, Volunteering, IT, Finance and other departments to improve system functionality, automate processes, and enhance user experience.

You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:

• Collaborate with People Team colleagues to identify management information relating to HR metrics for success and improve data quality with People system applications.
• Ensure People Team colleagues and business managers receive relevant management information in a timely manner on request, or as a regular update, as agreed.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to People team users.
• Analyse, investigate and resolve statistical queries and issues/problems.
• Maintain an awareness of the People processes and work with members of the People team to identify opportunities to simplify or automate processes.
• Work with the Director of People and People department Heads to identify changing needs of the organisation and improvements with potential to simplify or automate processes.

Our adult adoption support service works primarily with adopted adults and birth families. We are looking for a Social Worker or Counsellor, who has experience of working directly with those affected by adoption. You will have experience and knowledge of adoption law and practice and able to liaise with partner agencies to deliver the service in North and West Yorkshire.

You’ll meet with patients, their families, friends, or carers to assess ongoing needs, ensuring a safe plan is in place for their return home. This could include ensuring that medication is arranged from the hospital pharmacy, someone is at home to greet them, food and heating are available, and the condition of the home is safe to return to. You may be required to liaise with Adult Social Care and other home providers to coordinate home support. You’ll follow up on calls or visits to ensure the patient is managing well at home. By providing the proper support, patients can be discharged sooner, and the risk of readmission is significantly reduced. 

We’re seeking someone who:

• Has experience working with vulnerable adults in social care, healthcare, or the community/voluntary sector
• Communicates with empathy and confidence across different teams at different levels, and with patients
• Is highly organised, with excellent time management skills

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Context of role:

The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.

This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.

You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.

Main duties:

Service:

• To manage the bereavement service including the operational delivery of immediate support and debriefs, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, responsively and to a high standard
• To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England
• Lead upon, develop and maintain safeguarding practices and procedures in line with national guidelines and attend the bi-monthly internal Safeguarding Committee meetings.
• To oversee the delivery and develop training delivered to professional partners
• Oversee and manage a database of stakeholder contacts and families ensuring that Data Protection legislation and GDPR guidelines are implemented and adhered to
• To work closely with the Head of Bereavement Services to ensure delivery and growth of services
• Attend bereavement forums and other relevant meetings as required by, or in place of, the Head of Bereavement Services
• To be able to provide outstanding immediate emotional support and advice to families and those we support as required

Management:

• To lead, motivate and line manage the immediate support team responsible for delivering our immediate support and debrief service
• Manage a diverse team, organise regular team meetings and set realistic but challenging objectives to further the work of the charity
• To carry our monthly supervisions and bi-annual appraisals with the Immediate Support Coordinators
• To carry out monthly case reviews with the Immediate Support team
• To produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to evidence activity and impact
• To develop and oversee a training programme for the team including mandatory and varied subject matter

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.

Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the annual appraisal structure.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. We are seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active and highly organised Governance Administrator to support the efficient running of our governance arrangements. In this role, you will coordinate and provide high quality support to our committee programme and other key processes such as our grant funding and abstract competitions at Association conferences.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the Association’s governance and operational activities. Collaborating closely with the senior management team, committee Chairs and senior stakeholders, you will contribute directly to the success and impact to the charity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the committee meeting programme; arranging meetings, preparing detailed agendas, circulating papers promptly and producing accurate, high-quality minutes
• Organising the Association’s grants, awards and prize programmes, ensuring smooth application, review and selection processes
• Administering the abstract competitions across all Association conferences, including communications with participants and on-site coordination when required
• Supporting the administration of committee appointment processes and Board and committee elections
• Providing pro-active executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Officers and the Senior Management Team
• Working with all staff and Board members to ensure good communications are maintained throughout the Association
• Liaising with partner organisations and stakeholders to develop and maintain effective relationships and maximise networking opportunities

Hybrid working

This role is based at our head office in 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of two days in the office per week.

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability. 

Our Volunteer Engagement Department, which the Volunteer Support Officer role will be part of, ensures that volunteers have everything that they need to make a success of their reading sessions with pupils.

We’ve made a significant investment in our Microsoft suite and have transitioned services to Azure. We’re also building a cloud infrastructure to support the Organisation’s mission critical data use improvement project.

Our Infrastructure Systems Manager plays a crucial role in the development, support and maintenance of these systems, implementing the tools and technology we need as well as driving the reduction of IT costs where possible.

This role is responsible for:

• Maintenance of technical infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies
• Automated process creation to ensure systems are monitored and managed
• Migration of remaining on premise systems to Microsoft cloud based solutions
• Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary
• Ensuring systems are highly accessible and available
• Advice to the Organisation on best practice on technology

• Broad expert technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure based on both cloud and on premise Microsoft technologies
