Job purpose

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Fundraising Officer will help support Rosa’s major donor and corporate fundraising at an exciting point in our growth.

Working across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, events and prospect development, you will play a key role in helping us build strong supporter relationships and grow income to power Rosa’s mission. This is a varied and developmental role, offering the chance to work across every stage of the donor journey while building specialist fundraising skills in a high-ambition, values-led team.

It is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up from a fundraising assistant/ coordinator or similar role and take on broader responsibility in a national organisation with a clear purpose. The work you do will help generate funding for Rosa’s grant making, capacity building and influencing work — giving you a direct connection between fundraising and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Excellent stewardship of major donor and corporate relationships, including keeping donors up to date with Rosa’s work through events and meetings, written reports and newsletters
• Manage a portfolio of individual donors, major donors and corporates
• Coordinate and deliver successful in person donor engagement events, currently twice a year with one large event in March and a smaller event in November
• Build a strong prospect pipeline of corporate donors by undertaking prospect research and contributing to new business pitches
• Undertake prospect research and compelling donor briefings for new major donors and new giving circle members (Thrive Network)
• Maintain high quality CRM records to record each stage of donors’ journeys and supporting the transition to a new CRM (Beacon)

We are seeking a Supporter Services Administrator to join World Horse Welfare's Fundraising Supporter Services team based at our Head Office in Snetterton, Norfolk on a 12 month fixed-term basis, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

This role is key in providing excellent customer service to the charity’s supporters, processing all charity income efficiently, and maintaining the supporter database to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporter Care & Communication

• Provide high‑quality customer care across all channels, including telephone orders, donations, membership and general enquiries.

• Answer all supporter queries professionally and within agreed timeframes.

• Ensure supporters receive the correct communications in response to their donations.

• Produce timely and accurate thank‑you letters.

Income Processing & Administration

• Browse, create, amend and allocate payments to supporter records using data processing systems.

• Reconcile income with daily income sheets.

• Administer all charity income paid by Direct Debit.

Fundraising Support

• Assist the fundraising team with administration and fulfilment of supporter products, including merchandise sales and the individual giving programme.

General Administration

• Sort and open Head Office post in line with service level agreements and standard operating procedures.

Friends of the Elderly is a charity dedicated to providing excellent care and support to older people for over 120 years. We aspire to a society where all older people have the opportunity tolive fulfilled lives. We do this via our grant giving service, which provides vital financial support to older people who are living in poverty. We also deliver services personalised to individual needs and integrated with local communities at our care homes and day centres.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to play a vital role in our small, busy fundraising team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding supporter care, ensuring everyone who donates or fundraises for the charity has a positive and rewarding experience.

You’ll be responsible for processing all fundraising income accurately and efficiently, taking ownership of essential administrative tasks that keep our fundraising activity running smoothly. You’ll manage income from individual supporters, including regular donors, legacy supporters, event participants and seasonal campaigns such as our Winter Appeal. Working closely with our homes and services, you’ll also help to support and grow their fundraising efforts, making a meaningful contribution to the success and impact of the organisation.

We are looking for someone with experience in supporter care, customer services or fundraising along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders / customers.

You will be confident using databases to accurately record information and generate reports, as well as handling data, numerical information, and financial administration tasks effectively.

Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy will be required and you’ll have the ability to manage a number of projects, prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

Good computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and database are essential.

Working in the not-for-profit or care sector and proven success in achieving and exceeding fundraising targets would be preferable.

Are you a payroll professional who loves precision, thrives on responsibility, and enjoys making a real difference behind the scenes? North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) is looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Payroll & Pensions Officer to join our friendly Finance Team in a part‑time role.

Working as part of a supportive job‑share, you’ll help deliver a smooth, accurate monthly payroll for around 275 employees, support GP contractor payments, and ensure compliance with NHS Pension Scheme requirements. Your work will directly support our Same Day Care, TalkPlus and Head Office teams - the people delivering vital care to our communities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Undertake the following tasks in relation to the monthly payroll process with the support of the Finance Team as required.

• Update employee tax code changes as advised by HMRC.
• Update the Sage 50 payroll system for changes in respect of Same Day Care employees. This includes starters, leavers, changes in pay rates, personal details etc.
• Process extra hours claims and variations as advised by the HR team
• Update salaried staff Same Day Care RotaMaster schedules for any changes, prepare import schedule and import pay data into Sage 50 payroll.
• Review, retrieve and reconcile pay data from RotaMaster (RM) and import Same Day Care pay data into Sage 50 Payroll.
• Check and reconcile payroll data and produce associated reports
• Issue payslips to North Hampshire Urgent Care staff and monthly and annual Earnings Reports to self-employed GPs
• Process Same Day Care leavers and distribute any related documentation
• Submit North Hampshire Urgent Care staff FPS and EPS to HMRC
• Process North Hampshire Urgent Care staff Net Payments to Bank
• Reconcile and pay North Hampshire Urgent Care staff PAYE
• Reconcile Government Gateway account for North Hampshire Urgent Care staff
• Maintain Same Day Care dual role records.
• Process monthly payroll journal into Sage 50 Accounts software.

• To periodically rotate monthly payroll responsibilities with your job share partner three times per annum to enable each job share partner to understand each partner’s respective role and responsibilities, remain up to date with any developments in each partner’s responsibilities and ultimately to be interchangeable in the event of an absence of one partner.

You’ll carry out key administrative tasks, growing the support and development function of the Charity. This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Foodbank realise its vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy operating through networks of affordable food clubs, foodbank welcome centres, holistic support projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity.

Your tasks will include stewardship communications with individual donors and creating assets for community supporters to generate food and financial resources. You will assist the securing of income from grant giving trusts and foundations, and will undertake key executive assistant duties on behalf of the Development Director and CEO.

Main Duties:

● Develop strong individual donor relations through regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, alongside establishing the associated data and systems;

● Create community development assets, which enables community groups to engage with and provide resources for the Charity, such as for charitable fundraising / food donation events.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, secure income from, and maintain relations with grant giving trusts and foundations.

● Together with the Development Director and CEO, develop a team of volunteers who can support the work of the Charity’s development function.

● Support the Development Director and CEO, in their communication with supporters and corporate partners, to build good relations, gain and maintain corporate partner support.

● Liaise with colleagues across the Trussell Trust network; sharing best practice and participating in learning opportunities, to further the work of Cambridge City Foodbank.

● Other administrative activities may be requested from time to time by the CEO and Development Director, consistent with the needs of the Charity and role of Executive Assistant.

Personal Specification:

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

● Strong administrative experience, highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!

● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software. Training will be provided to upskill in the use of Canva, Mailchimp, donor databases and social media (such as LinkedIn and Instagram).

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling donor updates, applications and appeals.

NB. Experience of charitable fundraising is not essential when demonstrating the strong transferable skills above. Training will be provided.
