Summary of the position

Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.

The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels. 

This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy. 

This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :

With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.

1. Business Development (65%)

• Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
• Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
• Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
• Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
• Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
• Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
• Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events

2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)

• Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
• Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings. 
• Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
• Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.

3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)

• Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and 
• Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
• Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled. 

Position Requirements :

• Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
• Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
• Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities
• Experience with a CRM is required and preferably some experience of using Salesforce 
• Strong self-discipline and project management skills

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Education, Training and Employment (ETE) programme. You’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that support our community’s social, cultural and economic integration in the UK.

The ETE programme offers tailored English classes, one-to-one coaching, employability workshops, vocational training and mentoring. It also includes oversight of IRMO’s volunteer scheme, which is an integral part of service delivery and offers meaningful roles for volunteers across the programme. The Salvation Army, the UK’s leading social welfare charity, is seeking two Supporter Acquisition Managers to project manage and lead on day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition appeals.

The Salvation Army is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social and community services after the Government. With more than 600 local centres and nearly 100 residential centres, they make a powerful difference to people across the UK who might otherwise be excluded.

Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers are  responsible for growing the organisation’s file of donors and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, they will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The roles will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. Each manager will hold strategic areas of focus, be responsible for seven figure expenditure budgets and line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive.

The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors.  You will have a passion for fundraising with a commercial understanding of the charity marketplace and competitors. As well as previous experience in identifying areas of innovation and devising testing plans to launch and roll out, you will also have a track record in successfully leveraging value from data collated on supporter databases, to maximise targeting and data segmentation.

Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food, and our mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities whilst advocating for systemic change to address food insecurity and health inequalities.
Since 2014, ARC has pioneered the use of financial incentives to improve access to healthy food and combat food insecurity through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects. To date, we have supported over 11,000 families, including over 20,000 children, to access £3.5 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.
To deliver this scale, we work with 73 children and family centres and community organisations, 69 market traders and independent retailers, two fruit and vegetable vans and one fruit and vegetable delivery box scheme. We estimate that our projects have generated a total economic value added of almost £9 million for the local economies of the eight locations where we work: five London Boroughs, Barnsley, Liverpool and Glasgow.

About the role
ARC is a data-rich organisation, having made significant progress in our data analytics activities in recent years. Using the CRM Socialsuite , we have developed sophisticated project performance dashboards, which are critical in supporting both our delivery and reporting efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as Senior Mass Participation Manager. Leading a team of nine, you’ll be responsible for delivering a successful strategy and operational plan for virtual events and mass participation products, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.

Working within the Fundraising team, this role involves driving the development of engaging campaigns that increase supporter numbers and income, all while providing an excellent supporter experience. Collaboration across the charity is key to ensuring the programme runs efficiently, with decisions informed by data, supporter insights and market trends to help identify opportunities.

In partnership with the Head of Mass Participation, you will help shape and deliver the programme’s strategy, develop and monitor the annual budget and report on performance with clear analysis of any variances. The role also includes leading the creation and delivery of an insight-led marketing strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in mass participation fundraising and virtual events, with a strong track record of growing income. Confidence in setting and managing large budgets, reporting on KPIs and adjusting plans as necessary is essential. An understanding of supporter and stakeholder needs is vital, with the ability to use insight to shape effective communications and stewardship. You’ll also be an experienced team leader who can motivate and guide others to deliver results.

Job Overall Goal: The Event Manager plays a key role in planning, organising, and executing impactful programs and events that align with the charity’s objectives. Under the direction of the Global Programs Manager, this role ensures that each event is delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

The Event Manager will be responsible for end-to-end event coordination and administration, supporting global programs through strategic planning, logistical execution, and project-based collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

• Programme Coordination: Plan and coordinate multiple programmes to ensure key milestones are met with excellence.
• Written Communications: Draft, edit, and format professional correspondence, communications, presentations, and materials.
• Pre-event Organisation: Collaborate with external designers and stakeholders to ensure event assets/documentation are created and delivered on time.
• Registration & Booking: Manage delegate booking systems and registration processes, ensuring accuracy and a smooth experience for all participants.
• Database Management: Maintain and regularly update relevant databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Project Management: Ensure events are executed excellently from initial conception, registration and contracting to delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Deliver prompt and professional support to attendees and stakeholders via phone and email.
• Research & Reporting: Conduct research, gather and analyse data, and prepare clear reports and documentation to support event planning and evaluation.
• Scheduling & Travel: Manage calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements as needed.

• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including tasks related to all programmes and events.
• Onsite Event Management: Event set-up, provide logistical support, and ensure excellent delegate care throughout the event.
• Budget & Expenses: Process expenses and support budget tracking in collaboration with the Global Programs Manager.
• Online Oversight: Ensure online platforms reflect accurate and current event-related content.

This role is focused on providing advanced data analysis and strategic support to enhance the MS Society’s marketing, engagement, and fundraising efforts, with a focus on digital and content optimisation.

This role involves utilising advanced analytical techniques, managing complex data projects, and developing insightful reports and dashboards.

The role will work closely with our Digital, Content, and Marketing teams, in leading data initiatives that improve data-driven decision-making and optimises engagement, marketing, and content across all channels.

Additionally, this role provides mentorship and guidance to colleagues in the wider organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data excellence.

This role is responsible for:

• Analysing audience behaviour, campaign, channel, and content performance, and engagement trends to support decision-making. Using advanced techniques like predictive analytics to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Working closely with the Digital and Content team to develop data analysis strategies that align with our goals.
• Creating and maintain dashboards and reports, using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Power BI to track and present analysis clearly to stakeholders.

We are seeking an organised and dynamic storyteller to draw in an audience of potential funders, local partners and community volunteers in support of our vital work with older people experiencing loneliness.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates.
