Living Wage Foundation 

The Living Wage is an independent movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. The Living Wage campaign was launched by London Citizens in 2001 and aims to ensure low paid workers have enough money to get by and enough time for community and family life. 

The Living Wage is an hourly rate calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK that employers choose to pay on a voluntary basis. The Living Wage Foundation recognises and celebrates employers that pay the real Living Wage through an accreditation programme which awards the Living Wage Employer Mark. 

The independently-calculated rates are announced during Living Wage Week each November when we celebrate our growing network of Living Wage employers. There are now more than 15,000 accredited Living Wage employers across the UK which has secured pay rises for over 475,000 employees.

Purpose 

At Citizens UK, our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. There are various project roles and operational, communication, finance and HR roles that support the organisation and project staff and organisers to deliver on this mission and work. The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Operations and Data Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to help maintain, develop and continuously improve our data and systems. The role will be an integral part of the Living Wage Operations and Insight Team, providing technical support to ensure the integrity of our systems, and supporting with development projects. 

The Operations and Data Officer will need to be highly numerate and have great analytical skills to support our monitoring and evaluation functions, working with the Head of Operations and Insight on financial and budgeting management, reconciliation and forecasting for the Living Wage Foundation. The suitable candidate will be detail-oriented, be able to demonstrate their ability to seek out improvements and problem solve creatively and have experience working with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems. 

Main Responsibilities 

Working as the Operations and Data Officer– LWF for Citizens UK, reporting to Senior Data & Operations Manager, LWF, your main responsibilities will include: 

Project Management 

Deliver work targets on time and to standard to support the Foundation’s data and systems: : 

•  Support the day-to-day operations and management of all systems within the Living Wage Foundation designed to enable the functioning of Living Wage accreditation schemes. 

•  Proactively seek out systems improvements to make our processes more efficient so the Living Wage Foundation continues to provide an excellent service to the Living Wage network. 

•  Provide operational support for all aspects of the accreditation and recognition systems, including identifying and fixing errors. 

• Maintain integrity of Salesforce database; identify and source incomplete information within the database; take responsibility for tidying, cleansing and backing up existing data. 

• Support maintenance of integrated systems, including syncing data to Act-On and the website. 

• Work with Operations and Data Manager to keep templates, forms and related communications materials up to date 

• Manage merchandise administration including email inbox, day to day queries, and Shopify administration. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to manage budgets for external contracts (e.g. with developers and suppliers). 

  Learning and expertise 

• Keep up-to-date with functional good practice and technical updates to all our systems, including within the third sector. 

• Support with network data enquiries, including analysing data, creating Salesforce reports and dashboards for colleagues. 

• Work with colleagues to identify learning & development needs and support Operations and Data Manager to develop and deliver inductions, training and guidance to meet requirements. 

• Keep internal training manuals up to date to ensure the Foundation’s team can access clear and consistent information about our systems and processes. 

•  Support Operations and Data Manager to monitor the impact of internal trainings, support, resources and guidance – update and improve internal support offer as required. 

Communications 

• Create and write dashboards and reports to support the analysis of our performance. 

• Champion systems throughout the organisation and advocate for systems-based solutions. Offer ad hoc guidance to the team and help communicate any changes to systems. 

• Run systems surgeries for colleagues to answer ad hoc enquiries and support learning. 

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Communicate effectively with our external contractors (e.g. merchandise suppliers) to ensure contracts are fulfilled in a timely manner. 

• Help identify suitable new suppliers to meet organisational need. 

Develop and manage internal relationships 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to identify technical solutions to meet organisational requirements. 

• Monitor and respond to operations and data enquiries from colleagues. Work effectively with colleagues across Citizens UK, actively participate in the team and organisational wide events. 

Income and resources 

• Maintain Salesforce data integrity to support accurate and timely invoicing. Help ensure the integrity and safety of our data advising wider organisation on best practice where appropriate. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to track expenditure for Shopify and merchandise suppliers. 

• Contribute to plans and proposals to grow sources of income or resources. 

Contribute towards Citizens UK’s strategic objectives 

• Responsibility for delivering agreed areas of the Foundation’s work plan. 

• To work collaboratively with the LWF team and across Citizens UK to ensure that we are meeting the expectations of our network and stakeholders.

We’re recruiting for a Senior Individual Giving Officer to join our team, on a fixed term maternity cover contract, for approx 12 months.

We proudly raise money to help improve life for people with Parkinson’s and the people in their lives. Our work helps to fund everything from promising research, to providing personalised support for everyone with Parkinson’s, to campaigns fighting for better support for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

About the role 

You’ll be working on direct marketing campaigns and leading a strategic area of fundraising, to engage and inspire people to donate. And you’ll make it as easy as possible for supporters to choose the way they want to give. You’ll be part of a team that champions and supports each other, and is innovative in a changing fundraising and external environment to achieve our annual income target of over £5 million. 

Focusing on high volume donations under £1000, we use analysis and insight to deliver a variety of direct marketing activities that recruit new donors and ensure everyone can see the impact of their kind contribution. 

What you’ll do:

• Support the Individual Giving Manager to help set strategic objectives, monitor income and expenditure and use database analysis to inform the individual giving programme.

• Plan, create and manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline, and lead a strategic area of fundraising to secure donations

• Work with the Individual Giving Officers, delegating work and championing their development. There may also be an opportunity to line manage an Individual Giving Officer.

• Monitor income and expenditure budgets and use database analysis to inform and improve the direct marketing programme.

• Ensure that the direct marketing programme is integrated into Fundraising & Experience  Directorate activities and supports the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan

• Use digital tools to manage email and online communications.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience of managing Individual Giving or direct marketing activity with substantial income and expenditure budgets.

• Proven success in donor or customer acquisition and retention through direct marketing.

• Substantial experience of creating engaging and inspiring online materials in support of direct marketing campaigns. 

• Strong experience of using CMS and email platforms, ideally Marketing Cloud.

• Experience working with PPC, digital ads and social media to acquire donors

Understanding how to keep our ask fresh and steward these relationships is key.  You will inherit a portfolio of trust and grant funders who have committed support over the long term and a portfolio that delivers at least £180k in income each year. You will work with colleagues on well-established campaigns like The Big Give and support experienced volunteers who handle small grants. This role has space for innovation to secure new funders and uplift existing contributions.

Rasing Funds:

· Ensure an inclusive, engaging and best-in-class experience for Trusts and grant makers

· Manage an annual rolling programme of applications and multi-year funding reporting requirements. 

· Deliver medium, large and complex bids for unrestricted and restricted income to ensure success to an income level of at least £150k to fund initiatives including for example: direct delivery of care, volunteering initiatives, new routes into work for protected groups, equipment and capital projects.

· Robust and regular research of funding opportunities, new trusts, and wider horizon scanning to identify a broad base of opportunity to refresh and renew the pipeline of prospective funders

· Steward existing trust donors, finding opportunities to cultivate and grow the relationship.

· Be a visible accessible presence across the hospice, encouraging colleagues to share and develop their own ideas to raise funds that you and/or trust and grant volunteers can take forward and or support the team generating the ideas to do so.

Communication

· Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities

· Be the first point of contact for trust and grant funders and supporters and, for colleagues internally who have questions/queries or have an interest in this area of funding

· Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses

· Help to create and deliver moments of stewardship that are personal to each funder, show the impact of their support and inspire them when they can, to have an on-going relationship with the charity.

Job Description

Responsible for:

To assist in providing an efficient and effective Welfare Benefits service within the various foodbank hubs to assess eligibility, maximise income and review and appeal decisions as appropriate. Required to provide advice through various service delivery points, including outreach locations.

Responsible to:  Team leader, and Service Delivery Manager

Base Location:

Hours: 20 Hours per week

Term: Fixed Term until October 2026. This may be extended dependant on further funding opportunities

Salary:£13.50ph
Holidays: 25 days p.a. plus 8 days Bank Holidays pro-rated if the role is part time

Main Responsibilities: 

• Uphold the aims and principles of the Helping Hands Community Trust and the Leicester South Foodbank.
• Work within the service’s ethos and values, especially regarding equality and discrimination.

 Casework

• Using the AdvicePRO database to maintain electronic case records, for the purpose of continuing casework and information retrieval. These records must be inputted onto the database immediately following the appointment to ensure the records are up to date and accurate
• Act where necessary by calculating, drafting or writing letters and producing written submissions for clients as appropriate
• Provide advice work covering the full range of Welfare Benefits law.
• Negotiate with third parties.
• Ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits.
• Prepare paper submissions to the appropriate statutory bodies, tribunals and courts as appropriate.
• Assist with related problems where they are an integral part of the case and refer to other advisers or specialists as appropriate.
• Make outreach visits, where necessary and subject to resources and risk assessments.
• Provide advice and assistance to staff and volunteers across the whole range of Welfare Benefits issues.
• Ensure that all casework conforms to the AQS quality standard.

Administration:

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons.  We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Morton Hall. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based. About the Service

We are seeking a Volunteer & Service User Involvement Administrator to play a vital role in supporting the implementation of our 5-year strategy, which places service user involvement and volunteering at its core. This role is key to ensuring that the voices of service users, volunteers, and women with lived experience of VAWG are actively captured, organised, and integrated into the development of our services, operational activities, and strategic direction.

About the Role

The key responsibilities of the Service User Involvement Administrator are:

• Provide high-quality administrative support to the Volunteer & Service User Involevment Coordinator across all areas of service user and volunteer engagement.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes for volunteers and service user involvement activities, including processing DBS checks, references, and welcome packs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on volunteer and service user engagement databases and spreadsheets.
• Prepare agenda’s, correspondence, newsletters, and recruitment materials as required.
• Assist in planning and coordinating events, focus groups, training sessions, consultations, and board meetings.
• Manage invitations, bookings, and logistics for internal and external meetings or workshops involving volunteers and service users.
• Take and circulate clear and concise minutes and action points.
• Draft and disseminate regular communications, including newsletters, reminders, surveys and feedback forms.
• Ensure information is accessible and aligned with Solace’s inclusive and psychologically informed frameworks.
• Manage the inbox of service user involvement and volunteer queries and escalate as necessary.
• Ensure all volunteer and service user information is managed confidentially and in line with Data Protection regulations.
• Keep volunteer and service user training, DBS, and participation records up to date.
• Support in monitoring engagement levels and preparing basic reports or summaries on SUI and volunteering.

The Role

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Horsham Y team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Safety and security

• Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming 
• Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
• Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development
• Record all incidents and accidents and share appropriately with the wider team, your manager and, if necessary, the central safeguarding team 

Engagement with residents

• Welcome residents home and provide informal and responsive support so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure resident’s views, aspirations, concerns, and ideas are sought so they can play an active role in influencing the services they receive

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.
